A Nashville, Tenn., hotel has summarily canceled a meeting scheduled in its facilities by the New English Review, which is holding a conference this weekend called "Understanding the Jihad in Israel, Europe and America" and featuring a video presentation by Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders.
WND had reported only about 10 weeks ago when Wilders, whose film "Fitna" warns that Islam is threatening Western civilization, was banned from entering the United Kingdom.
Wilders had been invited to Britain in February for a special private screening of "Fitna" for Parliament in what already has been a controversial event because of challenges to his right to show the film.
"Fitna" features Quranic verses shown alongside images of the 9/11 terror attacks, the 2004 attacks in Madrid and the 2005 attacks in London.
The film calls on Muslims to remove "hate-preaching" verses from the text of their holy book. Read more ...
Farzad Kamangar, a 33-year-old teacher, journalist and human rights activist, is awaiting execution in Iran's notorious Evin prison. The Islamic regime calls him a terrorist, but his real crime is being a Kurd.
Mr. Kamangar taught at an elementary school in the northwestern Iranian city of Kamyaran, where he was a member of the Kurdistan Teachers Union and wrote for various underground human rights publications. He secretly taught his Kurdish students their banned language and told stories about their culture and history. He was detained by Iranian police in Tehran in July 2006 when traveling to visit his brother, a Kurdish activist. He disappeared into the Iranian prison system with no word to his family or friends.
After many months, a horror story emerged. In a November 2007 letter smuggled from prison, Mr. Kamangar detailed the many forms of torture to which he had been subjected, including beatings, whippings, electric shocks and solitary confinement in cold, squalid cells. He was deprived of sleep, denied clean clothes and given barely edible food. At one prison, he was subjected to something called "the chicken kebab" administered by the warden, which involved being trussed up and whipped. In Australia, Norway, Sweden and other Western nations, there is a distinct race-based crime in motion being ignored by the diversity police: Islamic men are raping Western women for ethnic reasons. We know this because the rapists have openly declared their sectarian motivations.When a number of teenage Australian girls were subjected to hours of sexual degradation during a spate of gang rapes in Sydney that occurred between 1998 and 2002, the perpetrators of these assaults framed their rationale in ethnic terms. The young victims were informed that they were “sluts” and “Aussie pigs” while they were being hunted down and abused. In Australia's New South Wales Supreme Court in December 2005, a visiting Pakistani rapist testified that his victims had no right to say no, because they were not wearing a headscarf. And earlier this year Australians were outraged when Lebanese Sheik Faiz Mohammed gave a lecture in Sydney where he informed his audience that rape victims had no one to blame but themselves. Women, he said, who wore skimpy clothing, invited men to rape them.A few months earlier, in Copenhagen, Islamic mufti and scholar, Shahid Mehdi created uproar when – like his peer in Australia – he stated that women who did not wear a headscarf were asking to be raped.And with haunting synchronicity in 2004, the London Telegraph reported that visiting Egyptian scholar Sheik Yusaf al-Qaradawi claimed female rape victims should be punished if they were dressed immodestly when they were raped. He added, “For her to be absolved from guilt, a raped woman must have shown good conduct.”In Norway and Sweden, journalist Fjordman warns of a rape epidemic. Police Inspector Gunnar Larsen stated that the steady increase of rape-cases and the link to ethnicity are clear, unmistakable trends. Two out of three persecutions for rape in Oslo are immigrants with a non-Western background and 80 percent of the victims are Norwegian women.In Sweden, according to translator for Jihad Watch, Ali Dashti, “Gang rapes, usually involving Muslim immigrant males and native Swedish girls, have become commonplace.” A few weeks ago she said, “Five Kurds brutally raped a 13-year-old Swedish girl.”In France, Samira Bellil broke her silence – after enduring years of repeated gang rapes in one of the Muslim populated public housing projects – and wrote a book, In the hell of the tournantes, that shocked France. Describing how gang rape is rampant in the banlieues, she explained to Time that, “any neighborhood girl who smokes, uses makeup or wears attractive clothes is a whore.” Unfortunately, Western women are not the only victims in this epidemic. In Indonesia, in 1998, human rights groups documented the testimony of over 100 Chinese women who were gang raped during the riots that preceded the fall of President Suharto. Many of them were told: “You must be raped, because you are Chinese and non-Muslim.” Christian Solidarity Worldwide reported that in April 2005, a 9-year-old Pakistani girl was raped, beaten with a cricket bat, hanged upside down from the ceiling, had spoonfuls of chillies poured into her mouth, and repeatedly bashed while handcuffed. Her Muslim neighbours told her they were taking revenge for the American bombing of Iraqi children and informed her they were doing it because she was an “infidel and a Christian.” In Sudan – where Arab Muslims slaughter black Muslim and Christian Sudanese in an ongoing genocide – former Sudanese slave and now a human rights’ activist Simon Deng says he witnessed girls and women being raped and that the Arab regime of Khartoum sends its soldiers to the field to rape and murder. In other reports, women who are captured by government forces are asked; “Are you Christian or Muslim?” and those who answer Christian, are gang raped before having their breasts cut off.This phenomenon of Islamic sexual violence against women should be treated as the urgent, violent, repressive epidemic it is. Instead, journalists, academics, and politicians ignore it, rationalize it, or ostracize those who dare discuss it. In Australia, when journalist Paul Sheehan reported honestly on the Sydney gang rapes, he was called a racist and accused of stirring up anti-Muslim hatred. And when he reported in his Sydney Morning Herald column that there was a high incidence of crime amongst Sydney’s Lebanese community, fellow journalist, David Marr sent him an e-mail stating, “That is a disgraceful column that reflects poorly on us all at the Herald.” Keysar Trad, vice-president of the Australian Lebanese Muslim Association said the gang rapes were a “heinous” crime but complained it was “rather unfair” that the ethnicity of the rapists had been reported.Journalist Miranda Devine reported during the same rape trials that all reference to ethnicity had been deleted from the victim impact statement because the prosecutors wanted to negotiate a plea bargain. So when Judge Megan Latham declared, “There is no evidence before me of any racial element in the commission of these offences,” everyone believed her. And the court, the politicians and most of the press may as well have raped the girls again.Retired Australian detective Tim Priest warned in 2004 that the Lebanese gangs, which emerged in Sydney in the 1990s – when the police were asleep – had morphed out of control. “The Lebanese groups,” he said, “ were ruthless, extremely violent, and they intimidated not only innocent witnesses, but even the police that attempted to arrest them.”Priest describes how in 2001, in a Muslim dominated area of Sydney two policemen stopped a car containing three well-known Middle Eastern men to search for stolen property. As the police carried out their search they were physically threatened and the three men claimed they were going to track them down, kill them and then rape their girlfriends. According to Priest, it didn’t end there. As the Sydney police called for backup the three men used their mobile phones to call their associates, and within minutes, 20 Middle Eastern men arrived on the scene. They punched and pushed the police and damaged state vehicles. The police retreated and the gang followed them to the police station where they intimidated staff, damaged property and held the police station hostage.Eventually the gang left, the police licked their wounds, and not one of them took action against the Middle Eastern men. Priest claims, “In the minds of the local population, the police are cowards and the message was, 'Lebanese [Muslim gangs] rule the streets.'”In France, in the banlieues, where gang rape is now known simply as tournantes or ‘pass-around,’ victims know the police will not protect them. If they complain, Samir Bellil said, they know that they and their families will be threatened.However, Muslim women in the French ghettos are finally fighting back against gang rape and police non-action. They have begun a movement called, “We’re neither whores nor doormats.” They are struggling against the intrinsic violence that plagues their neighbourhoods and the culture that condones it. In most French prosecutions, the Muslim rapists state that they do not believe they have committed a crime. And in a frightening parallel with the gang rapists in Australia, they claim the victim herself is to blame and accuse her of being a “slut” or a “whore.”According to The Guardian, during the recent French riots, a Saudi Prince with shares in News Corporation boasted to a conference in Dubai that he had phoned Rupert Murdoch and complained about Fox News describing the disturbances as “Muslim riots.” Within half an hour he said, it was changed to “civil riots.”Swedish translator, Ali Dashti, stated that in Sweden when three men raped a 22-year-old woman recently, they said one word to her. “Whore.” Such stories, according to Dashti, are in the Swedish newspapers every week. And, the politically correct “take great care not to mention the ethnic background of the perpetrators.” Sweden’s English newspaper The Local reported in July that Malmo police commander Bengt Lindström had been charged with inciting racial hatred. He sent e-mails from his home computer to two city officials. To the head of healthcare, he wrote: “You...treat old Swedes who have worked hard building up the fatherland like parasites and would rather give my taxes to criminals called Mohammed from Rosengärd.”In Malmo, the third largest city in Sweden, the police have admitted, Dashti says, that they no longer control the city. “It is effectively ruled by violent gangs of Muslim immigrants.” Ambulance personnel are regularly attacked and spat upon and are now refusing to help until a police escort arrives. The police are too afraid to enter parts of the city without backup.In early 2005, Norwegian newspapers reported that Oslo had recorded the highest ever number of rape cases in the previous twelve months. However, Fjordman explained, the official statistics contained no data regarding “how immigrants were grossly over represented in rape cases”, and the media remain so strangely silent. Oslo Professor of Anthropology, Unni Wikan, said Norwegian women must take responsibility for the fact that Muslim men find their manner of dress provocative. And since these men believe women are responsible for rape, she stated, the women must adapt to the multicultural society around them.The BBC pulled a documentary scheduled for screening in 2004, after police in Britain warned it could increase racial tension. “In these exceptional circumstances... Channel 4 as a responsible broadcaster has agreed to the police’s request...” The documentary was to show how Pakistani and other Muslim men sexually abused young, white English girls as young as 11.The number of rapes committed by Muslim men against women in the last decade is so incredibly high that it cannot be viewed as anything other than culturally implicit behaviour. It is overtly reinforced and sanctioned by Islamic religious leaders who blame the victims and excuse the rapists.In three decades of immigration into Western countries, Islam has caused social upheaval and havoc in every one of its host countries. No other immigration program has encountered the problems of non-assimilation and religious ambiguity. Everywhere in the world, Muslims are in conflict with their neighbours. And as Mark Steyn recently said, every conflict appears to have originated by someone with the name of Mohammed.In July 2005, Melbourne Sheik Mohammad Omran told Sixty Minutes that “...we believe we have more rights than you because we choose Australia to be our home and you didn’t. “In the same interview visiting Sheik Khalid Yasin warned “There’s no such thing as a Muslim having a non-Muslim friend, so a non-Muslim could be your associate but they can't be a friend. They're not your friend because they don't understand your religious principles and they cannot because they don't understand your faith.”Despite being told over and over by Islamic scholars, and witnessing massive influxes of Islamic crime, Western countries continue to believe in the reality of assimilation and moral relativism.In Australia, Lebanese Christians have assimilated and become a respected part of our community. The Premier of Victoria is a Lebanese Christian as is the Governor Of New South Wales. However, Lebanese Muslims have encountered serious problems because of their refusal to accept our right to live our way of life. Nothing so clearly demonstrates that it is not an issue of race — but of culture.

Swedish girls Malin and Amanda were on their way to a party on New Year's Eve when they were assaulted, raped and beaten half to death by four Somali immigrants. Sweden's largest newspaper has presented the perpetrators as "two men from Sweden, one from Finland and one from Somalia", a testimony as to how bad the informal censorship is in stories related to immigration in Sweden. Similar incidents are reported with shocking frequency, to the point where some observers fear that law and order is completely breaking down in the country. The number of rape charges in Sweden has tripled in just above twenty years. Rape cases involving children under the age of 15 are six - 6 - times as common today as they were a generation ago. Most other kinds of violent crime have rapidly increased, too. Instability is spreading to most urban and suburban areas.According to a new study from the Crime Prevention Council, Brå, it is four times more likely that a known rapist is born abroad, compared to persons born in Sweden. Resident aliens from Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia dominate the group of rape suspects. According to these statistics, almost half of all perpetrators are immigrants. In Norway and Denmark, we know that non-Western immigrants, which frequently means Muslims, are grossly overrepresented on rape statistics. In Oslo, Norway, immigrants were involved in two out of three rape charges in 2001. The numbers in Denmark were the same, and even higher in the city of Copenhagen with three out of four rape charges. Sweden has a larger immigrant, including Muslim, population than any other country in northern Europe. The numbers there are likely to be at least as bad as with its Scandinavian neighbors. The actual number is thus probably even higher than what the authorities are reporting now, as it doesn't include second generation immigrants. Lawyer Ann Christine Hjelm, who has investigated violent crimes in Svea high court, found that 85 per cent of the convicted rapists were born on foreign soil or by foreign parents.A group of Swedish teenage girls has designed a belt that requires two hands to remove and which they hope will deter would-be rapists. "It's like a reverse chastity belt," one of the creators, 19-year-old Nadja Björk, told AFP, meaning that the wearer is in control, instead of being controlled. Björk and one of her partners now plan to start a business to mass produce the belts and are currently in negotiations with potential partners. "But I'm not doing this for the money," she said. "I'm really passionate about stopping rape. I think it's terrible." In an online readers' poll from the newspaper Aftonbladet, 82% of the women expressed fear to go outside after dark. There are reports of rapes happening in broad daylight. 30 guests in a Swedish public bath watched as 17 girl was raped recently, and nobody did anything. The girl was first approached by 16-year-old boy. He and his friends followed her as she walked away to the grotto, and inside the grotto he got her blocked in the corner, ripped off her bikini and raped her, while his friend held her firm.There are even reports of Swedish girls being attacked and cut with knives on the dance floor. A 21-year-old man who came to Sweden a couple of years ago admits that he has a low opinion of Swedish females –or “whores” as he calls them. He is now prosecuted, suspecteded of cutting eight girls in several pubs. He is also charged with raping a girl at a private party, and with sexually harassing another girl in the apartment. Several witnesses claim that the 21 year old has said that he hates Swedish women.Some Muslim immigrants admit their bias quite openly. An Islamic Mufti in Copenhagen sparked a political outcry after publicly declaring that women who refuse to wear headscarves are "asking for rape." Apparently, he's not the only one thinking this way. “It is not as wrong raping a Swedish girl as raping an Arab girl,” says Hamid. “The Swedish girl gets a lot of help afterwards, and she had probably fucked before, anyway. But the Arab girl will get problems with her family. For her, being raped is a source of shame. It is important that she retains her virginity until she marries.” It was no coincidence that it was a Swedish girl that was gang raped in Rissne – this becomes obvious from the discussion with Ali, Hamid, Abdallah and Richard. All four have disparaging views on Swedish girls, and think this attitude is common among young men with immigrant background. “It is far too easy to get a Swedish whore…… girl, I mean;” says Hamid, and laughs over his own choice of words. “Many immigrant boys have Swedish girlfriends when they are teenagers. But when they get married, they get a proper woman from their own culture who has never been with a boy. That’s what I am going to do. I don’t have too much respect for Swedish girls. I guess you can say they get fucked to pieces.”The number of rapes committed by Muslim immigrants in Western nations are so extremely high that it is difficult to view them only as random acts of individuals. It resembles warfare. Muhammad himself had forced sex (rape) with several of his slave girls/concubines. This is perfectly allowed, both in the sunna and in the Koran. If you postulate that many of the Muslims in Europe view themselves as a conquering army and that European women are simply war booty, it all makes perfect sense and is in full accordance with Islamic law. Western women are not so much regarded by most Muslims as individuals, but as "their women," the women who "belong" to hostile Infidels. They are booty, to be taken, just as the land of the Infidels someday will drop, it is believed, into Muslim hand. This is not mere crime, but ideologically-justified crime or rather, in Muslim eyes, attacks on Infidels scarcely qualify as crime. Western women are cheap and offensive. We Muslims are here, here to stay, and we have a right to take advantage of this situation. It is our view of the matter that should prevail. Western goods, like the land on which we now live, belong to Allah and to the best of men -- his Believers. Western women, too, essentially belong to us -- our future booty. No wonder there is a deep and increasing suspicion against Muslims in the Swedish and European public.Sweden has national elections less than a year from now. Here is a suggested draft email, in English and Swedish, that you can send in to Swedish politicians and media to protest the lack of honesty about what Muslim immigration is doing to the country:I would hereby like to protest against the passivity and the lack of resolve demonstrated by Swedish authorities in the face of a huge spike in the number of rapes in their country. It is time for Swedish politicians, Swedish media and the Swedish public to admit that the large increase in the number of rape charges in their country during the past generation is intimately tied to the immigration that has taken place during that same time period. The attitude among many Muslim men is that women who are not veiled and act properly submissive have themselves to blame if something happens to them. Such a line of thinking is incompatible with the culture of freedom in any Western country. It means that as long as Muslim immigration continues, Sweden will continue to import an Islamic culture that will destroy women’s freedom in Swedish society. The strains caused by immigration are now so large that unless something serious is done about this, pretty soon Sweden will face the same kind of riots we have recently seen in France, and will approach the point of permanent ethnic and religious strife. Swedish politicians and media need to put the well-being of their daughters above that of political correctness and their own Multicultural vanity, and it is shocking that they actually need to be reminded of this. It is an international embarrassment to Sweden as a nation that Swedes travel around the world to lecture about women’s rights, and at the same time their own young women are finding that their most basic rights, such as being able to go outside wearing normal clothes without being harassed, are slipping away. It’s a sham, and it needs to end. Unless Swedish authorities are able to provide basic security to a population that pays some of the highest tax rates in the world, the Swedish government should publicly admit its inadequacy and resign from office. At the very least, it should be honest enough to tell Swedish citizens that they have to provide security for themselves, and stop making it difficult for people to do this. The Swedish general elections are less than a year away, and this time, Muslim immigration needs to be raised to the very top of the public agenda.

While presenting themselves as “moderates” who have condemned terrorism, both men have a history of anti-American and pro-Islamist statements. In a major blow to terrorism financing on American soil, the founders of the Holy Land Foundation, once the nation’s largest Muslim charity, were both sentenced this week to sixty-five years in prison for funneling at least $12.4 million in charitable contributions to the terrorist group Hamas. The decision, which can still be challenged by appeal, also has important implications for the nation’s most prominent Islamic organization, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, as well as for American Muslims in general.
The HLF founders, Shukri Abu Baker and Ghassan Elashi, were convicted in November 2008 of aiding a terrorist organization by sending money to Hamas. The two were also convicted of tax fraud and money laundering.
Nevertheless, the defendants maintained that the HLF was really a charity organization. So far from funding terrorism, they were distributing urgent financial aid to needy individuals and orphans in the West Bank and Gaza – a claim that reprised the now-defunct HLF’s purported mission of aiding “human suffering through humanitarian programs that impact the lives of the disadvantaged.”
This week’s sentencing was the strongest rejection to date of the HLF defendants’ “humanitarian” cover story. As David Kris, assistant attorney general for national security, put it, “These sentences should serve as a strong warning to anyone who knowingly provides financial support to terrorists under the guise of humanitarian relief.” Read more ...

Richard Williams, uncle of the arrested plotter Onta "Hamza" Williams, lamented that his nephew, a Baptist who converted to Islam, "…wasn't raised this way. All this happened when he became a Muslim in prison." Indeed, Warith Deen Umar, a Muslim chaplain who worked for 25 years in the New York State prisons and was considered a highly influential cleric, reportedly boasted that this vast incarceration system was, "...the perfect recruitment and training ground for radicalism and the Islamic religion." During his chaplaincy, Umar also repeatedly gave sermons fomenting Jew hatred, witnessed by prison staff.

Three sons of the radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri face joining him in jail for their part in the theft of luxury cars worth £1 million.
They will be sentenced today at Southwark Crown Court after admitting their involvement with a gang that stole and then sold BMWs, Range Rovers and Mercedes across Europe.
They took cars that had been left for weeks in long-stay car parks and acquired new log books and keys using false documents, including passports. Other cars were stolen in domestic burglaries. Some were used as collateral for loans of more than £20,000, on which gang members then defaulted.
Hamza’s sons, Hamza Kamel, 22, and Mohammed Mostafa, 27, helped to run the two-year operation with the cleric’s stepson Mohssin Ghailam, 28. Read more ...
On May 25 each year since 2000, Lebanon has been celebrating a so-called "Liberation & Resistance Day." Sadly, this celebration commemorates a bogus event, and a phony heroism that did not actually take place.
On May 22, 2000, the Israeli Army unilaterally and for solely Israeli domestic reasons withdrew from the security zone of South Lebanon in accordance with UN Resolution 425. The withdrawal was a fatal Israeli decision that has inspired the Hamas terrorism acts and the on-going havoc in the Palestinian Gaza strip.
The unilateral Israeli withdrawal created a security vacuum in south Lebanon. The Syrians who were occupying Lebanon at that time and fully controlling its government, did not allow the Lebanese Army to deploy in the south and fill this vacuum after the Israeli withdrawal. Instead Syria helped the Hezbollah militia to militarily control the whole southern region, and even patrol the Israeli-Lebanese border.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army's withdrawal was executed without any military battles, or even minor skirmishes with Hezbollah, or the Lebanese and Syrian armies. The Syrian regime, in a bid to justify both its on going occupation of Lebanon and the avoidance of disarming Hezbollah, came up with the "Shabaa Farms occupation big lie" and declared Hezbollah a Liberator, alleging it had forced Israel to withdrawal from South Lebanon. I haven't read the book yet, but I plan to. I've argued since 9/11 that our strategy in dealing with political Islam (Islamism) should be modeled after the Cold War. It's good to finally see someone agreeing. We will not win this war, though, unless we tackle the underlying ideology. As long as traditional Islam -- which, by definition, is political -- is off limits for debate, how can we win? We can't. Marxism, Marxist-Leninism, and Maoism were widely criticized in the West for 50 years. Idiotic Marxist notions such as the "labor theory of value" and "praxis" were scoffed at by nearly all. One cannot defeat ideas without attacking those ideas. The notion that God revealed his last will and testament to a man soaked in the blood of tribal genocide seems far more silly to me than the notion that one can discern the end of history by walking around the British Museum all day while your children starve to death. Consider it part of my natural skepticism of epistemological certainty combined with my disdain for acts of evil. A far less silly criticism of Marxism is that it was the ideology that gave us the Soviet gulags, the Chinese Cultural Revolution, and the Vietnam War. It is intellectual laziness to dismiss Stalin or Mao as megalomaniacs who's crimes are unconnected to Communism. In fact, their genocidal tendencies were deeply rooted in their faith that tens of millions dead were a small price to pay in the service of reaching the scientifically deduced end of history -- the Communist utopia. The same criticism applies to political Islam: the violent jihad started by Mohammed continues unabated. Tens of millions dead in the name of Allah are a testament to the bloody ideology which combines unlimited state power with religious fanaticism. Lest we forget, the Christian world has had its share of bloodshed. But the bloody religious wars in the West only began after church and state were combined by Constantine and ended when church and state began to be separated after the 30 Years War. No sane person in the West, though, believes that the Inquisition was a good thing. Or that the atrocities committed in the Crusades were done on orders from God. That is to say, the underlying philosophies of the late Roman period all the way to the Enlightenment are completely open to criticism. One does not see protests in the street when one points out the errors of Augustine, Aquinas, and Henry VIII. And academics need not write under a pseudonym when attacking Rousseau. I'm not sure if Muthuswamy gets it right or what the grand strategy for defeating political Islam should look like exactly. But I can say with complete conviction that until we are free to criticize Muhammed and his philosophy in the same way that we are free to criticize Marx and his, then even conceiving of a grand strategy is pointless. An enemy unnamed is no enemy at all. Identifying who and what we fight against is just as important as identifying who and what we fight for.

Georgetown University Professor John Esposito is the media’s favorite go-to man for questions about Islam. As the founding director of the Saudi-financed Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown, he is also notorious for downplaying radical Islam. Stanford University hosted his latest round of apologetics on May 13.
Esposito, who spoke at Stanford last year, was on campus to promote the film version of his recent book (co-authored with Dalia Mogahed of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies), Who Speaks For Islam? What a Billion Muslims Really Think. He was joined by the film’s executive producer, Muslim convert Michael Wolfe. The 55-minute film claims to present the results of the “largest, most comprehensive study” of Muslim opinion ever done. The crowd’s political leaning were evident in the audible hisses that greeted the cinematic image of former President George W. Bush.
A question and answer session with Esposito and Wolfe followed the screening. Don Emmerson, director of the Southeast Asia Forum at the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center at Stanford and an affiliated scholar with the Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies, was the first to offer up a challenge. Emmerson pointed out a question posed in the film, “Do you believe a woman should be allowed to work in any job she is qualified for?” is answered affirmatively by large majorities of Muslim men and women, but that the film never clarifies for what exactly the respondents believe women to be qualified. Thus, Emmerson concluded, “No quality control is evident in either the film or, if I may say so, in the book.” Esposito had no response. Read more ...
When people look up the word “hypocrisy” in the Islamist dictionary they will see the Muslim American Society (MAS) and its Freedom Foundation (FF) Executive Director Mahdi Bray side by side with those responsible for The American Muslim publication. This is because the groups and their leaders say they’re against terrorism and extremism, while they go about promoting these things. Could it be that they actually believe that Hamas is anything but a terrorist group or that extremists are anything but extremists?
Harakat Al-Muqawama Al-Islamia (HAMAS), the Islamic Resistance Movement, began in 1987 as an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood of Palestine a.k.a. the Islamic Society or Islamic Association. Since it was established, Hamas has been responsible for hundreds of Israeli deaths, many via such horrific means as suicide bombings.
Amongst Hamas’s founders, the most notable was Ahmed Yassin, a wheelchair bound individual who was executed by the Israelis in March 2004. During the five year anniversary of the assassination, March 2009, Yassin’s likeness was placed on MAS’s Freedom Foundation website by Khalilah Sabra, the Director of FF’s North Carolina chapter. The abduction and murder in Paris of a young Jewish man by a gang of Muslim immigrants calling themselves the Barbarians shocked the whole of France in 2006. But now that the accused are on trial - silence.
A French judge has ordered the latest issue of the magazine Choc ("shock") removed from the shelves. The cover showed a man with duct tape completely covering his head, except for a small opening around his nostrils. His nose is bloody. His hands are also bound with duct tape.
It was a photo of Ilan Halimi, the 23-year-old Parisian Jew who was kidnapped and tortured for 24 days by the Barbarians. His captors took the picture and sent it to his family. A lawyer for Halimi's family had complained about the magazine, but Choc's editor-in-chief Paul Payan responded: "Of course, we understand the anguish of the parents and, of course, we share their anguish.... But what's so harrowing is not the publication of this photo. What's harrowing is what it represents, what happened, the reality behind it."
And it gets worse. The New York Times reported last week that "in the two and a half weeks since 27 people went on trial [in Paris] for the brutal 2006 kidnapping, torture and killing of a young Jewish man, little has filtered out about the proceedings." Worse still, the little that has emerged indicates that French government and law enforcement have done everything in their power to obscure the Islamic Jew-hatred that led these Muslims to commit this crime. It is quite annoying to hear Islamofascist rants like "behead those who insult Islam" or "America deserved 9/11." It is just as annoying to hear Islamophobic rants like "kill the Muzzies" or "Nuke Mekkah." But it's twice as annoying when this kind of a sentiment emanates from public figures.
Muslims Against Sharia proudly consider ourselves to be members of anti-Islamist community. As Muslims, some of have a first-hand experience of living under Islamist oppression. And we know all too well what the stakes are in the fight with Islamofascism.
Putting aside her tendency to defame other anti-Islamists who don't see eye-to-eye with Debbie (she regularly calls Steven Emerson, Brigitte Gabriel, John Loftus, and Walid Shoebat liars and frauds) or her tendency to think that she is the only true conservative diva (she nearly bit the head off one of her commenter's head, because she dared to say that Laura Ingraham is a conservative; Monica Crowley, according to Debbie, is a no-talent phony,) Debbie doesn't see any difference between Muslims and Islamofascist.
But Debbie doesn't see it that way. In her demented rant, "Your Day in "Religion of Peace" Intra-"Peacefulness"," Debbie writes: "Don't kid yourself and believe--as claimed by the Interfax news agency in this artic--that Tagayev, the Deputy Chief Mufti of Dagestan, was some sort of moderate merely because he opposed Wahhabist Islam and was shot by them. The guy was extremist as most Muslim clerics are, just not on the same extremist side as the Wahhabis are." I wonder how well she knew Ahmed Tagaev. I knew him, and he was no extremist. He was fighting extremists and he paid the ultimate price, but for Debbie he's just another dead Muslim. Shouldn't the thought that CAIR and ISNA are probably quietly rejoicing the death of their enemy at least give her a pause? I doubt that. For people like Debbie, the only good Muslim is a dead Muslim.
Commenting on "The Coordination Center of North Caucasus Muslims will soon hold a meeting, where it will raise the issue of how to protect Islamic clergy from extremists," Debbie writes: "Correction: Islamic clergy are extremists." Granted, vast majority of Islamic clergy in America are extremists. Extremists paid for by Wahhabi petrodollars. The same Wahhabi petrodollars that Ahmed Tagaev was fighting against. Would Debbie also characterize Sheikh Prof. Abdul Hadi Palazzi, an Islamic cleric who is more pro-Israel than most American Jews, as an extremist?
Suppose Debbie is seething with Islamophobia so much, she can't help herself, but rejoice every time a Muslim dies. But how about some common sense? Will attitude like hers make on-the-fence Muslims think, "hey, those anti-Islamists are not that bad, they are against Islamism, not against Muslims" or would they think, "Osama is right; they hate all Muslims and we have to defend ourselves"? Doesn't she understand that she may be doing more harm than good when it comes to the War on Terror? Or does she care as long as her self-righteousness is satisfied?
DALLAS - A federal judge imposed what could amount to life sentences on three former leaders of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) on Wednesday for illegally routing more than $12 million to Hamas.
"The purpose of creating the Holy Land Foundation was as a fundraising arm for Hamas," said U.S. District Judge Jorge Solis.
He sentenced former HLF Chief Executive Officer Shukri Abu Baker and co-founder Ghassan Elashi to 65 years in prison. Longtime HLF chairman Mohamed El-Mezain, who was convicted only on one count of conspiring to provide material support to terrorists, received the maximum 15-year sentence.
All three men are at least 50 years old. Another defendant, Mufid Abdelqader, 49, was sentenced to 20 years in prison. The sentencing of HLF's New Jersey Office Director, Abdelrahman Odeh, still remains.
While appeals are being prepared, the sentencing hearings end the largest terror financing case in the United States, one which closed the largest Muslim-American charity in 2001. US President Barack Obama has drawn a line on Israeli settlement expansion before he meets today with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas as part of his urgent quest to revive peace talks.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Obama made it clear, when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited here last week, that he wants “no natural growth exceptions” to his call for a settlement freeze.
The remarks - which a former US official called “almost unprecedented” in toughness toward ally Israel - amounted to another challenge to Netanyahu, who has already balked at Obama's call for a Palestinian state.
Netanyahu told his cabinet on Sunday he did not intend to build new settlements but that “it makes no sense to ask us not to answer to the needs of natural growth and to stop all construction,” a senior official said.
Speaking during a visit by Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit of Egypt, a key mediator in the peace talks, Clinton said the “president was very clear” about settlements when he welcomed Netanyahu to the White House on May 18.
“He wants to see a stop to settlements. Not some settlements, not outposts, not natural growth exceptions,” Clinton told reporters.
Abul Gheit, standing next to Clinton, said “we feel encouraged on the insistence and the determination” of the Obama administration's push for peace and a Palestinian state.
Egypt's top diplomat warned that negotiations were needed in order to create a “Palestinian state as soon as possible” or the world would suffer.
Both Clinton and Abul Gheit were due to meet in Washington on Wednesday with Abbas, who arrived in Washington late on Tuesday ahead of his first official meeting with Obama.
The US-backed Palestinian Authority has ruled out restarting peace talks with Israel unless it removes all roadblocks and freezes settlement activity in the occupied West Bank, according to top negotiator Ahmed Qorei.
He said Abbas would present the conditions during the White House talks with Obama on Thursday.
Abbas is in Washington with his prime minister Salam Fayyad, who was sworn in last week at the head of a new Palestinian government that excludes the Islamist movement Hamas after the rival factions failed to agree on a unity deal.
The two factions have been at loggerheads since Hamas forces ousted forces loyal to Abbas from the Gaza Strip in June 2007. Since then, the Iranian-backed Hamas has run the tiny coastal enclave and the secular Abbas has been in charge of the West Bank.
Israeli media meanwhile said that Netanyahu is willing to tear down settlement outposts - those settlements Israel considers illegal - in the occupied West Bank in return for US backing of its stance on arch-foe Iran.
Clinton's spokesman Ian Kelly told reporters earlier that Middle East envoy George Mitchell held talks on Tuesday with Israeli officials in London in a follow-up to Netanyahu's visit to the White House.
He did not confirm reports that the talks touched on the perceived threat from Iran or Obama's call for a freeze on settlements.
Aaron David Miller, who served in both past Democratic and Republican administrations, told AFP that Clinton's remarks were “almost unprecedented” and amount to “something of a radical break with past administrations.”
Only former secretary of state James Baker and president George H.W. Bush, he said, have taken as hard a line on settlements, but that came much later, not in the first few months of a new administration.
“These (Obama) guys are determined either to change Netanyahu's behaviour on the settlements issue or ... bring about a change in the Israeli government,” he speculated.
Netanyahu runs political risks, he said, if he damages Israel's ties with its main ally Washington at a time when he is warning about the “existential” threat from Iran.
But, Miller said, Obama also risks a backlash from US supporters of Israel if he appears unfair to the Israelis or mismanages the showdown with Netanyahu.
Obama, he suggested, may be trying to line up some Arab states to recognize Israel in return for the settlement freeze.
In 2001, the mother of an 11-year-old girl spirited her out of Gothenburg, in Sweden, and back to Somalia where she had her brutally genitally mutilated (and without anesthesia). The mother and two other women held her down while a man made sure that she would never experience sexual pleasure and would instead, experience a great deal of pain for the rest of her life. According to the English language Swedish media,
“For several years after the violation the girl was subjected to repeated examinations by her mother who forced her fingers into her vagina to check that her virginity remained intact. She also repeatedly assaulted her daughter with various implements including books, a curtain rail and a belt.”
Yesterday, eight years later, the girl, now 19-years-old, won a lawsuit in which she was awarded a monetary compensation from her mother for the “abuse and gross violation of (her bodily) integrity.” Damages for pain and suffering are yet to be decided.
In Somalia, the girl would not have such legal recourse. My congratulations to the Swedish, Western legal system and to the bravery of this plaintiff. May we soon see many more such lawsuits and victories as well. Read more ...

Mumbai: A 14-year-old schoolboy from Kurla’s Bailbazar area was found murdered at Khalapur in Raigad district, bringing alive memories of the Adnan Patrawala and Mukeem Khan kidnap and murder cases.
Police said the body of the boy, Amandeep Banwait, was found in a ditch near a highway in Khalapur, face smashed beyond recognition. Using a tailor’s tag on the shirt as clue, Khalapur police traced the boy’s family.
Two college boys and a student of Class XII have been held in connection with the murder. Police inquiries reveal they were against the closeness of Amandeep with a girl, said to be the sister of two of the suspects....
Police enquiries with residents of the neighbourhood led them to the suspects. “Some residents told us they had heard of an affair between Amandeep and the cousin of two of the suspects. They said they had seen him and the girl’s elder brother warning Amandeep to stay away from her,” said Padhalkar. Read more ...

Glazov does an excellent job of examining the love affair between leftists in the West and radical Muslims who treat women as “less worthy than cows and sheep,” as Palestinian writer Souad says in the book. While some liberals in the U.S. and Europe have no problem telling the truth about Islamic gender apartheid, others fanatically defend it.
Consider the issue of rape. Rape is common in Muslim countries, and often results in a death sentence—for the victim.
“In 2004, a sixteen-year old girl, Atefeh Rajabi, was hanged in a public square in Iran,” feminist writer Phyllis Chesler wrote in her book The Death of Feminism. “Her crime? Rajabi was charged with adultery—which probably means she was raped. Her rapist was not executed.” Rape victims are frequently stoned to death with the approval of Muslim courts, and it is estimated that 75 percent of female prisoners in Pakistan are behind bars because they were raped. Saying it's not going to take sides in someone else's feud, the Seattle Police Department is going ahead with a racial-awareness training program that has raised concerns among some local Muslims.
They are troubled not by the content of the training program but by the organization that produced it: the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a 32-year-old Los Angeles-based Jewish human-rights organization perhaps best known for its Holocaust education work.

With all the recent attention focused on where and how to release Guantanamo Bay detainees, the case of 17 imprisoned Uyghurs has grabbed headlines again. Massachusetts Democratic Congressmen Jim McGovern and Bill Delahunt think that at least some of these Uyghurs should be resettled right here in the United States (U.S.), maybe even in the Virginia suburbs. Speaking in late May 2009 at a world assembly of Uyghurs at the U.S. Capitol, Delahunt offered some reassuring words: “The Uyghur people are not enemies of America. In fact, I know you admire our fundamental ideals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness….” How quaint. And how dangerously wrong.
The Uyghurs held at GITMO were captured while fleeing a terror training camp in eastern Afghanistan that was run by the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP), a splinter faction of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM). ETIM is listed as a terrorist organization by the governments of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and the U.S., as well as the United Nations. The TIP may also be another name for the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU), an Islamic terrorist group opposed to the secular regime of Uzbekistan President Islom Karimov and dedicated to the establishment of Islamic rule there and across Central Asia. Heavily suppressed in Uzbekistan, the IMU may have been eradicated inside that country, but its fighters have surfaced in Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and elsewhere. Many of them joined the Taliban in Afghanistan pre-2001 and remain a presence in terrorist training camps along the Afghan-Pakistan border. Read more ...
Police investigate an explosion in a Manhattan Upper East Side neighborhood
NEW YORK (CNN) -- An explosion outside a Starbucks on the Upper East Side of Manhattan sent frightened people running into the street early Monday.
The explosion blew out the windows of a Starbucks coffeehouse at East 92nd Street and Third Avenue at 3:25 a.m., according to New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.
A "low-order improvised explosive device" exploded after being left on a wooden bench in front of the coffeehouse, Kelly said. The blast could be heard many blocks away, according to CNN affiliate WABC-TV of New York.
Seven people were briefly evacuated from the building above the Starbucks, Kelly said, but no one was injured. The interior of the Starbucks sustained no damage.
It's too early to tell whether Monday's incident is connected to other minor explosions in New York City in recent years, including ones at the British and Mexican consulates and another in Times Square, Kelly said.
He did note one immediate similarity between the detonations: All occurred at roughly the same time of night. He said the police would continue to analyze other similarities.
However, Kelly also noted that Starbucks has been the target of low-grade explosions in other cities.
Police plan to examine surveillance cameras for information that could lead investigators to the perpetrator, he said.
The Muslims who were arrested last week for plotting to blow up two Bronx synagogues and bring down an airplane have exposed yet again the virulence and ugliness of Islamic anti-Semitism. Said one plotter: “If Jews were killed in this attack ... that would be all right.” Plotter James “Abdul Rahman” Cromitie, a jailhouse convert to Islam, said: “I hate those mother-------, those f------ Jewish b------ .... I would like to get [destroy] a synagogue.”
Muslim groups were quick to condemn the plot. Quick to issue statements were the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), and New York Muslim leaders.
Fozia Khan of the American Muslim Women’s Association said: “We believe that violence has no place in our community and is in no way a part of the tenets of Islam. Unfortunately, incidents of this kind hamper our efforts to create harmonious relationships with other religious organizations within our community.”
Since Fozia Khan’s holy book calls for warfare against Jews and Christians until they submit as inferiors to Islamic rule (Qur’an 9:29), and mandates the beheading of unbelievers (47:4), among many other belligerent passages, her assertion that violence “is in no way a part of the tenets of Islam” could bear some elucidation. None, however, was forthcoming from her. Khan complained: “In recent years, we as an organization have had to condemn far too many acts of violence committed in the name of Islam. We would like to stress that the people who commit these acts are misguided and confused and ignorant or unaware of Islam’s ideology of peace and tolerance.”
So why not teach them? One might wonder why Muslim groups don’t become more proactive, and institute programs in mosques and Islamic schools in the West (as well as in the Islamic world) to teach Muslims why the views of Osama bin Laden et al are wrong, and how the true Islam eschews violence against and hatred of unbelievers. Yet CAIR, ISNA, MPAC and the rest have never instituted or even called for such a program. They are ready with the condemnations after arrests or explosions, but why wait passively? Why not act to head off jihadist activity by Muslims?
MPAC said it was “outraged over the alleged plan of four men to carry out attacks against Jewish houses of worship in New York City.” MPAC Executive Director Salam Al-Marayati wrote to Jewish leaders of his “shock and dismay over reports that four Muslims planned to bomb synagogues in the New York City area. This criminal attitude is reprehensible and wretched.” In its statement MPAC reaffirmed “the position of condemning acts of violence against any faith group in the name of Islam.”
Strong words, good words. In fact, MPAC has been saying this sort of thing for years -- making it even odder that their “counterterror” guidelines appear to be more concerned about misbehavior by non-Muslim law enforcement officials in mosques than about the possibility of terrorist activity in those mosques.
ISNA, which has admitted its ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, condemned the plots also. The Brotherhood is waging, in its own words, “a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.” ISNA’s statement complained that “several media reports referred to the suspects as Muslim. ISNA rejects the association of Islam with such criminality, hatred and bigotry.” Read more ...
Two British National Party election advertisement billboards in different parts of the country came under threat from mobs of Islamists this afternoon. One billboard was covered up after the mob intimidated the police by threatening to attack. The first sign of trouble came in the West Midlands where an Islamist mob emerged from a local mosque after Friday prayers - where they had possibly been stirred up during the sermon - and threatened a BNP billboard advertising ‘British jobs for British workers,’ according to BNP press officer Simon Darby. “The police were called in to protect the billboard, which they did, despite the mob taunting them, threatening Jihad and shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ and other such militant Islamist slogans,” Mr Darby said. “The outbreak of militancy appears to have been coordinated, because at almost the same time, a BNP advertising billboard in Luton was surrounded by a similar mob. They were also shouting Islamist slogans and carrying items which were clearly intended to be used to set fire to it,” he continued. “The billboards do not even mention Islam or Islamism, and merely call for British people to be given jobs, so the cause of the Islamist militancy obviously lies elsewhere,” he said. Libya’s leading democratic dissident, Fathi Eljahmi, died today [May 21] – off the radar of the MSM, held for a final two weeks under wraps in a Jordanian hospital to which he was spirited earlier this month, comatose, and still watched by Libyan security, after almost seven years of isolation, deprivation and abuse inside the prison system of Muammar Gaddafi.
Fathi Eljhami gave his life for the cause of freedom. Part of his time in the clutches of Gaddafi’s security apparatus he spent — in an echo of Soviet brutality inflicted on democratic dissidents — confined in a Libyan psychiatric hospital. His “insanity” consisted of advocating free speech and calling for democratic reform in Libya.
It is hard to imagine how much courage it must have taken for Fathi — born in Libya, standing up for freedom inside Libya — to defy Gaddafi, whose regime along with its terrorist history abroad has tyrannized Libya itself for the past 40 years. When Fathi Eljahmi began speaking up for freedom, years ago, Gaddafi in 2002 threw him into Libya’s Abu Salim prison –notorious for its abuse of inmates, including a horrendous massacre of prisoners in 1996, in which up to 1,200 may have died. MAKHACHKALA, May 26 (Itar-Tass) -- A criminal case was instituted over the murder of Dagestan’s Deputy Mufti Akhmed-khadzhi Tagayev here on Tuesday. The criminal proceedings were instituted under two articles of the Criminal Code (murder and the illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition).
The murder was committed on Monday evening “in the residential area of Uchkhoz on the territory of the countryside settlement,” the press service of the Dagestani Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Tuesday. “Tagayev was coming up to his house in Obshchestvennaya Street at about 22.20 Moscow time on Monday. Meanwhile, the killer jumped out of a silvery VAZ-21099 car parked nearby and presumably made one shot from a PM pistol in the back of the head of Tagayev,” the press service said.
Akhmed Tagayev, 61, died instantly. The killer escaped from the scene.
The investigators consider Tagayev’s professional activities as the main version of the murder. Tagayev was a zealous opponent of Islamic extremism. He has repeatedly written about these problems in his articles in local media outlets and in the Internet.
Tagayev was in charge of public relations in the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Dagestan. Tagayev engaged actively in the public activities in the last few years, particularly chaired the public movement “For Morality”. The Spiritual Board of Muslims of Dagestan took the tragic death of Tagayev “as a great loss for the Muslims of Dagestan.”
SAQLAWIYAH, Iraq (AP) — This part of Iraq, says Dr. Ayad al-Hadithy, is so conservative that a man would rather have his pregnant wife die in labor than be touched by a male nurse or doctor.
It's just one of the difficulties faced by U.S. and Iraqi officials as they struggle to nurse the war-ravaged province of Anbar back to health. One showcase of their efforts is the reopening last year, for women only, of the Nursing School in Anbar's capital, Ramadi. Another is a field school in the town of Saqlawiyah that has just graduated its first batch of 10 female nurse's aides.
Nowhere are nurses more badly needed than in Saqlawiyah and its surrounding villages, where 50,000 people have no women doctors and only one female nurse and one midwife, both old and overworked.
The area's most recent records, from five years ago when the anti-U.S. insurgency was just beginning, show that one in five women dies in childbirth, and many women never even see a doctor. Read more ...
Jailed Islamic extremists want women prison officers banned from guarding them during Friday prayers - claiming it's against their human rights. Terrorists at Wakefield jail say having them there while they pray is an "insult to their religion".
The group at the West Yorks jail - led by convicted terrorist Kamel Bourgass who killed a cop during an anti-terrorism raid - told jail governor Jacqui Tilley of their anger.

Services are held in the prison's gym after the 60-strong group refused to pray in the jail's multi-faith chapel because it was used by "non-believers".
Now they want a mosque built there.
Their single-sex guards demand was refused - but it's feared they could now take their complaint to the European Court and use the Human Rights Act to claim they are being victimised.
A prison source said: "They do not believe female guards should oversee Friday prayers - and they go mad when they are told what to do by a woman. But that's life."
As the FBI has ongoing investigations in numerous cities across the country looking into the disappearances of possibly dozens of young Somali men who have left the country to presumably join the jihad and train in terror camps back home, attention has recently been focused on one Minneapolis imam. Hassan Mohamud (Jamici) has been singled out by some in that community as being one of the radicalization influences in the Twin Cities.
Minneapolis has the largest Somali population in the country. In an interview with USA Today, Mohamud denied any connection to the missing men. But the findings of one recent news report by the Minneapolis Fox News affiliate is sure to keep Mohamud in the spotlight.
According to that Fox News report, the imam appeared in a fundraising video posted on YouTube (now since removed) for his mosque, the Islamic Daw’ah Institute in St. Paul. In his appearance he encourages viewers to donate to the mosque’s project, which he says “can save you from the hell of living in America.” Read more ...
(IsraelNN.com) A resident of Beit Jan arrived at the Carmiel police station on Saturday night with his badly wounded daughter, aged 23. The man told police he had shot the young woman in an “honor” attack, because her behavior violated the tenets of Islam.
Paramedics rushed to the scene, but were unable to save the young woman, who died of her wounds before reaching the nearest hospital. The father has been arrested.
Sen. Arlen Specter backed out of speaking at a Tuesday conference on the global effort to silence speech critical of Islam, citing a scheduling conflict, but the Council on American-Islamic Relations has taken credit for his decision.
In February Specter introduced legislation in the U.S. Senate aimed at protecting American authors who have been sued under plaintiff-friendly libel laws overseas. He was scheduled to speak about the trend, known as "libel tourism," at a Washington conference being sponsored by the Legal Project of the Middle East Forum, the Federalist Society Center for National Security Law, and the Thomas Jefferson Center for the Protection of Free Expression.
CAIR branded it an "anti-Islam" conference and launched a petition drive last Friday protesting Specter's appearance, and on Monday the pressure group took credit for getting him to cancel.
But Brooke Goldstein*, who organized the conference in her role as director of the Middle East Forum's Legal Project, said that Specter had canceled his scheduled appearance two days before CAIR launched its online petition. The group issued a press release responding to CAIR this morning, noting that Specter has not changed his support for the legislation he co-sponsored with Sens. Chuck Schumer and Joe Lieberman. When the landlady of my Toronto apartment building said an outraged neighbour had filed a complaint about me over an apparently inappropriate hallway interaction with his wife, my mind raced through the countless conversations I've had with fellow tenants, none of which seemed a possible source of offence.
It turns out, it wasn't a salacious transaction that had caused the complaint, but rather a neighbourly and -- to me -- entirely forgettable greeting, little more than a brief "good morning" as I passed my neighbours on the way to work.
Still, it was enough of an affront for the man -- once a doctor somewhere in the Middle East, my landlady clarified -- to feel I had broken a cultural taboo. The incident started an awkward feud which has involved warnings not to repeat my indiscretion and one face-to-face shouting match, which included allusions to my impending death.

How to Stop the Muslim Extremists Recruiting Inmates to Terrorism

Amid all the shocking details in the disrupted plot to bomb Bronx synagogues and fire missiles at American military aircraft, one component of the case should come as no surprise - three of the alleged culprits converted to radical Islam in prison.
Radical Islamists have targeted prison populations for recruitment for years. That's where Jose Padilla, suspected of plotting to detonate a dirty bomb and convicted of conspiracy to murder people overseas and of providing material support to terrorists, converted and was radicalized.
That's where a California man, Kevin James, created his own cell, called the Jam'iyyat Ul-Islam Is-Saheeh (JIS), and recruited other inmates to plot attacks against military and Jewish targets in and around Los Angeles.
In New York, the man who was the head Muslim chaplain for state prisons considered the 9/11 hijackers to be martyrs. Warith Deen Umar spent 20 years working with New York prisons, overseeing the hiring of Muslim chaplains and leading prayer services. Read more ...

JAMBUR, Gambia — This tiny West African nation’s citizens have grown familiar with the unpredictable exploits of its absolute ruler, who insists on being called His Excellency President Professor Dr. Al-Haji Yahya Jammeh: his herbs-and-banana cure for AIDS, his threat to behead gays, his mandate that only he can drive through the giant arch commemorating his coup in the moldering capital, Banjul, and his ubiquitous grinning portrait posted along roadsides.
Residents of Jambur say they were accused of sorcery.
Not to mention the documented disappearances, torture and imprisonment of dozens of journalists and political opponents.
But then came a campaign so confounding and strange that the citizens are still reeling and sickened from it, literally, weeks after it apparently ended.
The president, it seems, had become concerned about witches in this country of mango trees, tropical scrub, dirt roads, innumerable police checkpoints and Atlantic coastline frequented by sun-seeking European tourists mostly unaware of the activities at nearby Mile 2 State Central Prison, where many opponents of the regime are taken.
To the accompaniment of drums, and directed by men in red tunics bedecked with mirrors and cowrie shells, dozens, perhaps hundreds, of Gambians were taken from their villages and driven by bus to secret locations. There they were forced to drink a foul-smelling concoction that made them hallucinate, gave them severe stomach pains, induced some to try digging a hole in a tiled floor, made others try climbing up a wall and in some cases killed them, according to the villagers themselves and Amnesty International.
The objective was to root out witches, evil sorcerers who were harming the country, the villagers were told. Terrified, dozens of other people fled into the bush or across the border into Senegal to escape the dragnet, villagers said, leaving whole regions deserted. Amnesty estimates that at least six people died after being forced to drink the potion, whose composition is unknown. The roundups occurred from late January through March, according to people here. But even in recent weeks, the same witch doctors in red, accompanied by others identified as government agents, have circulated in the dirt-poor countryside — Gambia was ranked 195th of 209 countries by the World Bank in 2007, with a per capita income of $270 a year — demanding that villagers make animal sacrifices, of a red he-goat and a red rooster, to root out the sorcery supposedly in their midst.
Gambian government officials did not respond to e-mail messages and phone calls, and the government has not commented on articles recounting the anti-witch campaign in the opposition newspaper Foroyaa (“Freedom,” in the local Mandinka language), according to the paper’s editor, Sam Sarr. Amnesty International says it received a press release from the country’s attorney general declaring such witch-hunting activities “inconceivable.”
Yet the testimonies are numerous, and experts on this former British colony have little doubt that the witch hunts occurred, and on the scale described.
The roundups were guided by the president’s “Green Boys,” villagers say. The Green Boys are Mr. Jammeh’s most militant supporters, “vigilante die-hards,” said Abdoulaye Saine, a political scientist at Miami University of Ohio. They dress in green and sometimes paint their faces green, the color of Mr. Jammeh’s political party, the Alliance for Patriotic Re-Orientation and Construction. The roundups were conducted with force, guns in evidence and directed largely at the elderly, witnesses and local journalists said.
Even in the often brutal context of his 15-year dictatorship, this year’s roundups stand out, the president’s few open critics in Gambia say. Since the 1994 coup that brought him to power, at least 27 journalists have fled the country. One was murdered and another has not been seen since his arrest by the dreaded National Intelligence Agency. Others have described prolonged torture by electric shock and the use of knives and lighted cigarettes in Mr. Jammeh’s jails.
But this time, it was not critical journalists or political opponents who were singled out. “There’s a feeling that if this can happen, anything can happen,” said the opposition leader Halifah Sallah, the minority leader in Parliament from 2002 to 2007, who has himself been arrested four times, most recently for speaking out against the witch hunts.
“People no longer have the protection of the laws,” Mr. Sallah said. During the witch hunts, “people were in a state of panic” throughout Gambia, a country of 1.7 million, he said.
On the teeming streets of Serrekunda, a suburb of Banjul, people expressed fear. “All of them are opposition, but they are not talking, because if you are talking, you are going to the police,” said Lalo Jaiteh, a building contractor, gesturing nervously at a bustling row of vendors.
The anxiety has persisted. The witchcraft accusation brings shame in a society where belief in sorcery “was pervasive and still is pervasive,” according to Lamin Sanneh, a Gambian-born history professor at Yale University. Beyond that is the trauma of being uprooted and the illnesses that people say linger from the bitter potion.
“This stigma will follow us into our grave,” said Dembo Jariatou Bojang, the village development committee chairman in Jambur, a dusty town 15 miles from the capital. “We will never forget this.”

He said he was taken, along with about 60 others, after being assembled in the village square, attracted by the beating of the drums. Driven by bus to a place they did not recognize, Mr. Jariatou Bojang was made to drink and bathe in the foul liquid.
“My head is still paining sometimes,” Mr. Jariatou Bojang said.
As he spoke, an elderly man sitting on the floor of the village imam’s house shook his head uncontrollably from side to side. The men in the room said the symptom developed after the man, said to be in his 80s, was forced to drink the liquid.
Omar Bojang, the son of the imam, Karamo Bojang, recalled being told to undress, and ordered to drink “filthy water from a tin.”
“Once you drink that, you become unconscious, you can’t think,” he said.
Forty miles away in the village of Bintang, Mamadou Kanteh, a fisherman, recounted the visit of the men in red several weeks ago. “ ‘It’s the president who sent us,’ ” Mr. Kanteh recalled their saying. “ ‘There are witches in the country who are hurting people, and killing people,’ ” they said.
They demanded the sacrifice of a red goat and a rooster. The imam of Bintang recalled drawing about $40 from the village treasury to pay for the animals, which were slaughtered at the graveyard beyond the town’s unlighted dirt streets.
Back in Serrekunda, pedestrians hastened away when asked about the president. Mr. Jaiteh, the contractor, ducked inside a darkened shack, hidden from the street by two towering stacks of tires, to talk about the government with a friend.
“Human rights is not here right now,” the friend, Yaya Gasam, said in halting English. “Human rights is ... pop.”
Head of the Foreign Ministry’s College of International Relations Bahador Aminian on Sunday said western countries have become used to abusing human rights to exert pressure on other countries.
In an interview with Iran Daily he said Iran as an Islamic state continues to promote human rights.
“The definition that Islam renders about human beings and the value system that it offers is what the masses demand from the international community. As such, Iran should not be accused for non-observation of human rights. We believe that the notion of cultural diversity and human rights can open new vistas for human rights-related issues and hence the college has attended to the issue both from academic and diplomatic perspectives,“ he noted.
On the occasion of the World Day of Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, a two-day international training workshop themed ’Cultural Diversity and Human Rights’ opened at the college on Sunday.
Aminian went on to emphasize that human rights should not be necessarily in unison with particular western values and standards as Muslim communities have their own reading of human rights. Read more ...
ISLAMABAD: Professor Dr Muhammad Syed Tantawi, grand sheikh of Al-Azhar University in Cairo, has urged clerics to wage ‘jihad’ against terrorists who do not surrender before the government. “Ulema and mashaikh should try to educate them and if they do not shun their activities then must wage jihad against them.” Dr Tantawi was talking to Central Imam Hussain Council Chairman Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi who called on him at the university. He prayed for security, stability and prosperity of Pakistan. Dr Tantawi urged the international community to help Pakistan in the rehabilitation of the internally displaced persons of the NWFP.
Tehran, May 18, IRNA -- Imam Muhammad Al-Asi, the Imam (leader) who formerly led the prayers at the Islamic Center of Washington, said here Monday that people from all over the world should be encouraged to go to Palestine to step up the Palestinian struggle.
Speaking at the Fourth General Convention of the International Union of NGOs Supporting Palestinian Rights, Al-Asi said, "Encourage peoples from all over the world to go to Palestine; and if that is not possible to go to Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, Jordan, or Syria."
He also called for the establishment of a radio station and/or a satellite TV channel devoted solely to the Palestinian cause....
He asked for the integration or at least coordination of strategies of Islamic Resistance in Palestine with the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon.

2. Ex-Muslim Warns West of Plot to Impose Islamic Law By Michelle A. Vu - Christian Post Reporter - Sat, Apr. 04 2009 12:55 PM EDT
Open, tolerant, and generous Western nations are being taking advantage of, warns a former Muslim from the Middle East who now lives in America.
Muslims in Arab countries as well as some born and bred in the West are aggressively pushing to impose Sharia law, or Islamic law, in countries such as Britain and the United States, among others, claims Nonie Darwish, who lived under Sharia law for 30 years in Egypt. “To live under Islamic Sharia law is to live in the world’s largest maximum-security prison, and I for one don’t want to be incarcerated again,” writes Darwish in her new book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law. For many Westerners, it is hard to believe that cruel punishments, extreme oppression of women’s rights, and unjust marriage customs as seen in Sharia can still exist in the 21st century. But it does exist, Darwish says, and is applied in strict Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, Libya, and Sudan. Some states in northern Nigeria also have Sharia courts, and recently the Northwest region of Pakistan was allowed to enact Sharia law to appease terrorists.
In the West, Canada allowed Sharia family arbitration from 1991 to 2006, and Great Britain allows it on a limited scale.
Women’s Rights (or lack thereof)
Under the Islamic legal system, women without a headdress on in public can be flogged, rape victims under certain circumstances can be punished, and adulteresses can be beheaded. In her book, Darwish tells the story of a Saudi woman who was gang raped by seven men, but sentenced by the court to flogging because she was allegedly seen talking to a man who was not her relative. Her attackers said they saw that violation as justification to rape her and the judge agreed. Under Sharia law, women are not even allowed to make eye contact with men that are not their relatives.
Women are further at a disadvantage in courts because their testimony only counts as half the value of a man’s.
Sharia law is especially cruel when it comes to rape cases. To prove rape, either the rapist has to confess or there must be four male witnesses of the rape that testify on behalf of the victim. Darwish, a former Muslim who became a Christian after coming to America, calls Sharia “the most inhumane, cruel and punitive system of laws practiced today.”
Marriage Laws
In her book, Darwish also writes extensively about the marriage contract in Muslim society. Under Islam, a man is allowed up to four wives. On the marriage contract, there are a number of lines under the heading of wife that a man can fill with several names. But the author – who has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, Fox, Al-Arabiya, National Public Radio and Israeli TV – says the “most shocking sexual privilege Sharia grants to men is that they are allowed to seek sexual gratification with children.”
There is no legal age of marriage under Sharia and a girl can be given in marriage as young as the age of one. But marriage can only be lawfully consummated with a girl when she reaches the age of nine.
Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the Supreme Leader of Iran, the Shia Grand Ayatollah between 1979 and 1989, said in an official statement, which appears in his book, Tahrirolvasyleh:
“A man can quench his sexual lusts with a child as young as a baby. However, he should not penetrate. Sodomizing the baby is halal (allowed by Sharia). If the man penetrates and damages the child, then he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life. This girl, however, does not count as one of his four permanent wives…It is better for a girl to marry when her menstruation starts, and at her husband’s house rather than her father’s home. Any father marrying his daughter so young will have a permanent place in heaven.”
Also, in June 2008, Saudi marriage official Dr. Ahmad Al Mubi said in an interview aired on LBC TV: “There is no minimal age for entering marriage… the Prophet Mohammed is the model we follow.”
Mohammed supposedly married his wife Aisha when she was six years old and consummated their marriage when she was nine.
“The clerics wish to hide as much of this from us as they can,” Darwish claims. “Many Muslims themselves are embarrassed by this and are trying to hide these facts about male sexual rights – even from their sons.”
Taming the Wife
Under Islam, husbands, in order to make their wife (or wives) obedient, are also given permission to beat her if she “rebels.”
Quran 4:34 reads:
“Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and [as to] those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.”
Furthermore, the Hadith, or the sayings of Islamic prophet Mohammed, says, “A man will not be asked as to why he beat his wife.”
As a result of these “religious rights,” many Muslim women who are beaten hide their abuse because it is considered rebelling against your husband to complain about him, even if he beats you.
Harm to Non-Believers
Perhaps more widely known to Westerners is Sharia’s call to harm non-believers. There have been many high-profile cases of death threats and actual murders of those who leave Islam, often times by their immediate family.
There are 35,213 Quran verses, Hadiths, Sharia laws, and various Muslim scriptures that command and encourage killing, violence, war, annihilation, corporeal punishment, hatred, boycott, humiliation, and subjugation, mostly against non-Muslims, according to Darwish.
“Most Muslims are unaware of or in denial about the intrinsic problems within Islam and Sharia that create a serious threat to lives of non-Muslims, both as individuals and as nations,” the sought after speaker writes.
She adds, “Non-Muslims cannot simply count on an eventual reformation of Islam because it might never happen. The starry-eyed West talks more about the reformation of Islam than Muslims themselves do. Islamic jihad is likely to continue to be a threat forever.”
Darwish calls jihad the driving force behind Sharia and describes it as the “never-ending relentless expansion and enforcement of Islam worldwide.”
Quest to Impose Sharia in the West
While most of her book is devoted to explaining the tenets of Sharia, Darwish is clear from the beginning that she wrote the book to warn Western nations, especially the United States, about the threat of Islamic law.
Most Americans do not understand what Sharia actually calls for, she says, and believe it is just a normal set of religious laws.
“[T]he West must never allow even limited Sharia marriage and family laws to be practiced in any Western democracy, simply because it is against basic principles of human rights and equality between the sexes,” Darwish declares. “Sharia strips a woman of her God-given right to be a human being.
“Bringing such laws to the West will be the beginning of the end of true Western democracy,” she adds.
In her book, Darwish recalls an exchange she had with Muslim American students at a U.S. college campus.
In 2007, Dariwsh was invited to take part in a panel discussion called “Islam and Democracy: Companions or Competitors?” at Mount San Antonio College in Southern California.
One of the panelists, the head of the Muslim student organization, had “fiercely” defended Sharia.
Darwish recalls asking him, “If Sharia is the perfect system that every Muslim should follow, why are you living in America and not in a Muslim Sharia state such as Iran or Saudi Arabia?”
His answer, which was echoed by many other Muslim students at the debate, was that all Muslim countries have failed to be a true Sharia state. Other students at the event said they believe that perhaps the United States could be the first country to properly apply the law as Allah intended. Others even expressed a desire to demand the enforcement of Sharia in America.
“Muslims are often unhappy with their Muslim countries of origin, but instead of looking within to make them better, they want to force an ‘ideal’ Muslim state on other civilizations, especially those that are unsuspecting and peaceful,” Darwish claims. Darwish says the “most troublesome” problem with terrorism is not as much the terrorists attacking from the outside, but more so “the attack on democracy from within.”
“They have lived in Western democracies most of all their lives and have developed a disconnect from the reality of life under Islamic Sharia,” she says.
Peaceful Muslim Majority
It is true, however, that the majority of Muslims in the world are not violent and would not want to live under Sharia. Most Muslims are moderate and practice the ritualistic side of Islam and “barely know what is in their scriptures,” says Darwish.
“Muslims need to be informed about what is in their scriptures simply because, believe it or not, they do not know,” the former Muslim writes.
But even if 10 to 15 percent of Muslims read their scriptures and take it literally, that is a major problem for the West. Darwish says jihadists have been “unabashed” and “straightforward” when it comes to stating that their scriptures are the motivation behind their actions.
“The West has been warned of the Islamist intentions, but so far it is in denial, relying on the hope that Islam will eventually reform,” Darwish says.
“However, let me be clear: The West must understand that the problem is not individual Muslims as much as it is Muslim scriptures commanding them to kill.”
Darwish is calling on Western governments to oversee the selling and buying of books that order the murder of non-Muslim citizens, even if they are called holy scriptures.
“The West must unequivocally declare that Sharia is totally incompatible with democracy and human rights and that it is ‘cruel and unusual punishment,’” says the author.
Published by Thomas Nelson this past January, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law is the second book written by 60-year-old Darwish. Ringrazio quelle Organizzazioni che invitano gente come me a parlare agli americani, al fine di avvisarli in merito alla pericolosità della Legge della Shari'a e dell'Islam radicale.
Ci sono Gruppi che chiedono l'introduzione della Shari'a ovunque emigrino: in Inghilterra/Regno Unito, per esempio - cosa che è stata persino loro concessa ad un certo livello, per permettere loro di metterla in pratica; e in Canada – cosa che è stata loro concessa per un certo periodo di tempo.
Ci sono Gruppi in America che chiedono l'introduzione della Shari'a, e che dicono all'Occidente che Essa è compatibile con i Valori occidentali. Vediamo se è così, perché in effetti la Shari'a è contraria ai nostri Valori, alla Democrazia e ai Diritti umani.
Proprio ora in Francia c'è un uomo naturalizzato, di origini algerine, che è un Professore, e dice: 'Le Leggi della vostra Repubblica sono incompatibili con il Corano e non dovrebbero essere imposte agli islamici, i quali possono essere governati solo dalla Legge della Shari'a. Ci accingiamo perciò ad impadronirci del Potere, cosa che è nostro Dovere fare. Cominceremo con Roubaix' - Roubaix è una Città di cui il 60% degli abitanti è composto da islamici - ‘Il prossimo Sindaco sarà islamico, ed in seguito la dichiareremo un'Enclave indipendente islamica’. Si tratta di un Movimento separatista. Ovunque vada la Shari'a, il suo Scopo ultimo è quello di avere un Movimento separatista dalla Comunità allargata, non leale ma ostile allo Stato allargato.
E questo è successo già prima in molte aree del Mondo: succede ora in Chechenia, ed è successo in Kosovo - è diventato un Paese a maggioranza islamica e proprio in questo momento ci sono Chiese che sono date a fuoco.
Ci sono islamici in Occidente che sono fuggiti dalla Shari'a, ed io sono fra costoro. La Shari'a opprime in modo particolare le Donne. L'Occidente deve sempre ascoltare l'altra corrente, sapendo che non tutti gli islamici sono in favore della Shari'a. Tutte le Malattie presenti nel Mondo islamico sono in qualche modo preservate e protette, perché sono connesse ad una Legge del VII. secolo, che è statica e rifiuta cambiamenti, perché sotto la Shari'a nulla può essere cambiato. Deve essere preservata così com'era quando Muhammad era vivo. Tutte queste Regole sono ispirate da un Sistema valoriale del VII. secolo.
Vediamo un po' quali sono le Regole della Shari'a. Ci sono molti Privilegi che la Shari'a accorda al Capo islamico di Stato. Cominciamo con il definire cosa voglia dire Stato islamico: deve essere regolato dalla Sahri'a. Vi dò la Definizione di Stato islamico emessa dal più prominente Scolaro islamico del XX. secolo - Sheikh Abul Ala Maududi: 'La Shari'a regola ogni aspetto della vita sociale e delle Attività. In un simile Stato nessuno può considerare un qualsiasi suo campo d'Attività come personale o privato. Considerato sotto questo aspetto, uno Stato islamico governato dalla Shari'a è simile ad uno regolato dal Fascismo o dal Comunismo'. Secondo la Definizione di questo prominente islamico, lo Stato islamico è oppressivo come uno Stato comunista o fascista. E tra l'altro, nessun Gruppo islamico o Organizzazione l'hanno sfidato in merito a questa Definizione: tutti sono stati d'accordo con lui.
Molti si chiedono come mai praticamente tutti gli Stati islamici sono governati da Dittatori. Non è una Coincidenza. La Shari'a può essere molto seducente per le Nazioni che si sono perse ed hanno bisogno di Controllo: uno Spendent consegna un Documento al Capo di Stato, che autorizza la Tirannia in nome di Dio - il Sogno di ogni Tiranno. Se l'Islam è un Poliziotto, la Shari'a è la Pistola. Credo che nessuno dei due possa sopravvivere senza l'altro. C'è una gran parte di islamici che hanno paura: temono che se lasciassero la Shari'a non sarebbero più in grado di controllare gli islamici sotto l'Islam. E questo la dice lunga sul tipo di Religione. Non ci sarebbe alcun bisogno della ‘Pena di Morte per Apostasia’ per preservare una Religione …. Sotto la Shari'a, il Khalifa (Capo di Stato) è autorizzato a far mettere in vigore la Legge tramite Potere, ovvero, con un Atto di Forza, tramite l'Assassinio del Presidente precedente. E questa è una delle Regole che sono totalmente contro la nostra Costituzione.
C'è un qualche Presidente islamico che è entrato in carica dopo l'Assassino del Presidente precedente …? Questo è permesso sotto la Legge islamica.
La Shari'a esenta inoltre il Capo di Stato dall'essere accusato per gravi Crimini (secondo l'Islam) quali: l'Assassinio, l'Adulterio, la Rapina, il Furto e il Bere vino. Perché c'è stato Saddam Hussein …? È permesso sotto la Shari'a. È esentato dall'andare in Giudizio.
Sotto la Shari'a c'è anche l'Obbligo di obbedire al Khalifa (Capo di Stato), 'anche se è ingiusto'. E Maududi (lo Scolaro più prominente del XX. secolo) è andato persino più in là, dicendo che 'per un islamico è preferibile vivere sotto un Capo islamico ingiusto, che sotto un Capo non-islamico giusto'. Così, essere un Leader islamico significa essere un Numero 1, non importa se ingiusto. Ed è perciò che quando gli islamici emigrano in un altro Stato dicono che vogliono essere governati da un islamico, e che il loro Presidente deve essere islamico. Non c'è alcuna separazione fra Stato e Chiesa in questo caso. Ed è ciò che gli occidentali devono capire prima di autorizzare la Shari'a per i Gruppi islamici.
E sotto l'Islam è persino considerata una cosa gravissima ribellarsi contro il Khalifa, persino se è ingiusto. Ci si può ribellare solo se non è più islamico.
2. Ex-islamica avverte l’Occidente del Complotto per imporre la Legge islamica in Occidente

Per molti occidentali, è difficile credere che Punizioni crudeli, Oppressione estrema dei Diritti delle Donne, e Matrimoni ingiusti - come si vedono nella Shari’a - esistino ancora nel XXI. secolo.
Ma esistono – dice Darwsih – e sono messi in atto in Paesi strettamente islamici come l’Arabia Saudita, l’Iran, l’Afghanistan, la Libia e il Sudan. Pure alcuni Stati in Nigeria del nord hanno Tribunali della Shari’a, e recentemente la Regione nordoccidentale del Pakistan è stata autorizzata a mettere in pratica la Legge della Shari’a per appagare i Terroristi.
In Occidente, il Canada ha permesso la Legge della Shari’a, in merito al Diritto di Famiglia, dal 1991 al 2006, e la Gran Bretagna autorizza attualmente la Shari’a, in una certa Quantità.
Diritti delle Donne (o mancanza di Essi)
Sotto il Sistema legale islamico, le Donne senza copertura del capo - in pubblico - possono essere frustate, le Vittime di Stupro in certe Circostanze possono essere punite, e le adultere possono essere decapitate.
Nel suo Libro, Darwish racconta la Storia di una Donna saudita che è stata stuprata da un Gruppo di 7 Uomini, ma sentenziata dal Tribunale ad essere frustata perché è stata presumibilmente vista parlare con un Uomo che non era un suo Parente. I suoi Aggressori dicono di aver visto questa Violazione e perciò l’hanno stuprata, e il Giudice ha dato loro Retta. Sotto la Legge della Shari’a, le Donne non sono nemmeno autorizzate ad avere Contatto visivo con Uomini che non siano dei loro Parenti. Le Donne sono ulteriormente svantaggiate in Tribunale perché la loro Testimonianza conta solo la metà di quella di un Uomo.
La Legge della Shari’a è specialmente crudele nei Casi di Stupro. Per provare lo Stupro, o lo Stupratore confessa, oppure ci devono essere stati 4 Testimoni oculari maschi, i quali testimonino in favore della Vittima.
Darwish, un’islamica che è diventata cristiana dopo essere giunta in America, chiama la Shari’a ‘il Sistema di Leggi più inumano, crudele e punitivo praticato Oggi’. Leggi matrimoniali
Nel suo Libro, Darwish scrive pure estensivamente in merito al Matrimonio contratto nella Società islamica. Sotto l’Islam, un Uomo è autorizzato ad avere fino a 4 Mogli. Sul Contratto matrimoniale, ci sono un numero di righe - che un Uomo può riempire con i nomi di diverse Mogli.
Ma l’Autrice – che è apparsa su CNN, MSNBC, Fox, Al-Arabiya, National Public Radio e Israeli TV – dice che ‘il Privilegio più traumatizzante che la Shari’a garantisce agli Uomini è che essi sono autorizzati a cercare Gratificazione sessuale con i Bambini’.
Non c’è alcuna Età legale per il Matrimonio sotto la Shari’a, ed una Bambina può essere data in Matrimonio all’Età di 1 anno. Ma il Matrimonio può essere legalmente consumato quando lei raggiunge l’Età di 9 anni.
L’Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, il Leader supremo dell’Iran - Gran Ayatollah shiita fra il 1979 e il 1989 - ha detto in una Dichiarazione ufficiale, che appare nel suo Libro ‘Tahrirolvasyleh’:
‘Un Uomo può saziare la sua Voglia sessuale con un Bambina dell’Età di un bébé. Comunque, non deve penetrarla. Sodomizzare il bébé è halal (autorizzato dalla Shari’a). Se l’Uomo penetra e danneggia la Bambina, allora deve essere reso responsabile per la sua Sussistenza per tutta la sua Vita. La Bambina, comunque, non conta come una delle sue Mogli permanenti …. È meglio per una Bambina sposarsi quando iniziano le sue Mestruazioni, e presso la casa di suo Marito piuttosto che presso la casa di suo Padre. Ogni Padre che sposa sua figlia così giovane avrà un Posto permanente in Paradiso’.
Così, a giugno 2008 un Ufficiale di Stato civile saudita, Dr. Ahmad AlMubi ha detto in un’Intervista andata in onda su LBC TV: ‘Non c’è Età minima per entrare nel Matrimonio …. Il Profeta Muhammad è il Modello che seguiamo’.
Si ritiene che Muhammad abbia sposato la sua Moglie Aisha quando lei aveva 6 anni [e lui ne aveva 50], e aver consumato il loro Matrimonio quando lei aveva 9 anni [e lui 53].
‘I Clerici cercano di nasconderci più che possono quel che riguarda questa Faccenda’ – dice Darwish. ‘Molti islamici stessi sono imbarazzati da ciò, e cercano di nascondere questi Fatti legati ai Diritti sessuali dei Maschi – nascondendoli persino ai loro Figli’.
Addomesticare la Moglie
Sotto l’Islam, il Marito, al fine di rendere sua Moglie - o le sue Mogli - obbedienti, ha il permesso di picchiarle, se loro si ‘ribellano’.
Corano 4:34 recita:
‘Gli Uomini sono i mantenitori delle Donne perché AlLah ha reso alcuni di loro eccellenti rispetto ad altri, e perché essi spendono della loro Proprietà; le Donne brave sono perciò obbedienti, e preservano ciò che è nascosto come AlLah l’ha preservato; e verso coloro delle quali temete la Diserzione, ammonitele, e lasciatele sole nei loro letti e picchiatele; poi se vi obbediscono, non contrastatele; certamente AlLah è Supremo, Grande’.
Inoltre, gli Ahadith o Detti del Profeta islamico Muhammad, dicono: ‘Ad un Uomo non verrà chiesto perché picchi sua Moglie.’
Quale Risultato di questi ‘Diritti religiosi’, molte Donne islamiche che vengono picchiate nascondono questo Abuso perché rivelarlo - lamentandosi di lui – sarebbe considerato una Ribellione verso il proprio Marito - persino se lui le picchia.
Danneggiare i non-credenti
Forse la cosa più conosciuta agli occidentali - della Shari’a - è che Essa chiama a nuocere ai non-credenti. Ci sono stati molti Casi di importanti Personalità minacciate di Morte, e ci sono stati molti reali Omicidi di coloro che hanno lasciato l’Islam, spesso per mano dei loro propri Familiari.
Ci sono 35’213 Versi del Corano, Ahadith, Leggi della Shari’a, e svariate Scritture islamiche che comandano e incoraggiano l’Assassinio, la Violenza, la Guerra, l’Annichilimento, le Punizioni corporali, l’Odio, il Boicottaggio, l’Umiliazione, il Soggiogamento, perlopiù contro i non-islamici – secondo Darwish.
‘La maggior parte di islamici sono incoscienti in merito ai Problemi intrinseci all’Islam e alla Shari’a – o li negano –, i quali costituiscono serie Minacce per i non-islamici, sia a livello di Individui che di Nazioni’, dice e scrive lei.
Aggiunge: ‘I non-islamici non possono semplicemente contare su un’eventuale Riforma dell’Islam, perché potrebbe non avvenire mai. Il lungimirante Occidente parla della Riforma dell’Islam più di quanto non facciano gli islamici stessi. La Jihad islamica si rivela piuttosto essere una Minaccia eterna’.
Darwish definisce la Jihad ‘la Forza trainante che sta dietro alla Shari’a’ e la descrive come ‘l’infinito e instancabile Sforzo di Espansione e Rafforzamento dell’Islam a livello mondiale’.
Ricerca di imporre la Shari’a in Occidente
Mentre la maggior parte del suo Libro è votato alla Spiegazione della Dottrina contenuta nella Shari’a, Darwish dice pure chiaramente – dall’inizio del Libro – che il suo Scritto è finalizzato ad avvertire le Nazioni occidentali, e specialmente gli Stati Uniti, in merito alla Minaccia della Legge islamica.
La maggior parte degli americani non capiscono cosa chieda in effetti la Shari’a – dice Darwish – e crede che sia semplicemente un Tipo di normale Legge religiosa. ‘L’Occidente non deve permettere in alcun caso l’Introduzione di anche solo un minimo di Legge della Shari’a in materia di Matrimonio e di Diritto di Famiglia, poiché possa essere praticata in seno ad una qualsiasi Democrazia occidentale, e ciò semplicemente perché la Shari’a è contraria ai Principi basilari dei Diritti umani e dell’Uguaglianza fra i Generi’ – dichiara Darwish. ‘La Shari’a priva la Donna del suo Diritto naturale e divino ad essere un Essere umano’.
‘Portare queste Leggi in Occidente è l’Inizio della Fine della vera Democrazia occidentale’ – aggiunge.
Nel suo Libro, Darwish ricorda un Dialogo avuto con degli Studenti islamici americani presso un Campus di un College nordamericano.
Nel 2007, la Darwish è stata invitata a prendere parte ad una Discussione, in Programma intitolato ‘Islam e Democrazia: Compagni o Avversari?’, presso il College Mount San Antonio in California del sud.
Uno degli Organizzatori, il Capo dell’Organizzazione studentesca islamica, ha ‘orgogliosamente’ difeso la Shari’a.
Darwish ricorda di avergli chiesto: ‘Se la Shari’a è il Sistema perfetto, allora ogni islamico dovrebbe seguirlo. Perché dunque tu vivi in America e non in uno Stato islamico gestito dalla Shari’a quale l’Iran o l’Arabia Saudita?’.
La sua Risposta, che è stata ripetuta da molti altri Studenti islamici che partecipavano al Dibattito, è stata che tutti gli Stati islamici hanno fallito nell’essere Stati veramente governati dalla Shari’a. Altri Studenti che hanno partecipato all’Evento, hanno detto che credono che gli Stati Uniti potrebbero essere il primo Stato che applichi adeguatamente la Legge della Shari’a come l’ha intesa AlLah. Altri hanno persino espresso il Desiderio di chiedere il Rafforzamento della Shari’a in America.
‘Gli islamici sono spesso scontenti dei loro Paesi islamici d’Origine, ma invece di analizzarli al fine di migliorarli, vogliono forzare uno Stato islamico ‘ideale’ presso altre Civiltà, specialmente presso quelle che sono ingenue e pacifiche’, dice Darwish. Ella dice che la Questione ‘maggiormente problematica’ verso il Terrorismo non è tanto che i Terroristi attacchino dall’Esterno, ma piuttosto che ‘Essi attacchino la Democrazia occidentale dall’Interno’.
‘Hanno vissuto nelle Democrazie occidentali la maggior parte delle loro Vite e hanno sviluppato una Dissociazione verso la Realtà della Vita sotto la Shari’a islamica’, dice lei.
La Maggioranza islamica pacifica
È vero comunque, che la Maggioranza degli islamici del Mondo sono non-violenti, e che non desiderano vivere sotto la Shari’a. La maggior parte degli islamici sono moderati e praticano la parte rituale dell’Islam e ‘conoscono appena quello che c’è nelle sue Scritture’ – dice Darwish.
‘Gli islamici hanno bisogno di essere informati in merito a cosa c’è nelle loro Scritture, semplicemente perché, crederlo o no, essi lo ignorano’ – scrive la Donna originalmente islamica.
Ma persino se solo il 10 o 15 percento degli islamici legge le sue Scritture, e le interpreta letteralmente, ciò costituisce un Problema maggiore per l’Occidente. Darwish dice che i Jihadisti sono ‘impenitenti’ e ‘decisi’ quando si tratta di affermare che le loro Scritture sono la Motivazione che sta dietro le loro Azioni. ‘L’Occidente è stato avvertito delle Intenzioni degli Islamisti, ma fino ad ora c’è un Negazionismo, e ci si affida alla Speranza che ‘infine l’Islam andrà riformandosi’’ – dice Darwish.
‘Comunque, lasciate che ve lo dica chiaramente: l’Occidente deve capire che il Problema non sono i singoli islamici, ma piuttosto le Scritture islamiche, le quali comandano loro di uccidere’.
Darwish chiede ai Governi occidentali di rivedere la Vendita e l’Acquisto di Libri che ordinano l’Assassinio dei Cittadini non-islamici, persino se questi Libri vengono chiamati ‘sacre Scritture’.
‘L’Occidente deve inequivocabilmente dichiarare che la Shari’a è totalmente incompatibile con la Democrazia e con i Diritti umani, e che essa deve diventare una ‘Punizione crudele inabituale’ – dice l’Autrice.

I Gruppi islamici negli Stati Uniti stanno attivamente cercando di scoraggiare l’uso del Termine descrittivo ‘Jihadi’ per descrivere un Terrorista islamico e cercano di mettere in guardia gli Americani dall’’Islamofobia’, nel Caso in cui usassero le Parole ‘sbagliate’ per parlare dell’Islam o dei Terroristi islamici. E gli Americani sono già capitolati in merito all’uso di una Frase islamista, ovvero ‘Delitto d’Onore’, per descrivere gli Omicidi brutali e premeditati delle Donne islamiche (spesso Mogli o Figlie) da parte di Parenti islamici (spesso Padri o Fratelli).
Ci sono migliaia di Delitti d’Onore oltreoceano (molti restano sotto-riportati e i Perpetratori restano impuniti), in Paesi che vanno dal Bangladesh alla Giordania, all’Egitto, alla Siria, al Pakistan ed in Società occidentali come la Gran Bretagna, dove gli islamici sono emigrati. Molte di più sono le Donne islamiche che vengono picchiate ed abusate. Mentre gli islamici sono meno del 6% della Popolazione olandese, le Donne islamiche costituiscono il 60% di quelle che cerano Rifugio in Case di Accoglienza per Donne martoriate.
Un’Esiliata somala e formalmente Islamica, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, che è diventata una schietta Parlamentare olandese, ha detto al New York Post (il 23 luglio 2008) che ‘Delitti d’Onore’ è il Nome sbagliato: ‘I Delitti avvengono perché queste ragazze hanno presumibilmente portato Vergogna sulla loro Famiglia. Il Paradosso è che questi Individui (di Genere femminile) si sono emancipati. Queste ragazze incarnano il Sogno americano. Vogliono essere in grado di contare su loro stesse – decidendo chi sposare, quando sposarsi, e quanti bambini avere’. Hirsi Ali, che ha lasciato il suo Paese natale per scappare da un Matrimonio combinato, è stata forzata a fuggire dall’Olanda perché ha dato Voce alla Critica verso l’Estremismo islamico, per cui ha ricevuto Minacce di Morte.
Il 21 marzo – secondo la Stampa canadese - in Giordania, un Uomo ha picchiato sua Figlia fino alla Morte perché lei si truccava. A Basra, in Iraq, lo scorso anno un’Adolescente islamica è stata ammazzata da suo Padre e dai suoi Fratelli. Il suo Peccato è stato che stava flirtando con un Infedele – un Soldato britannico.
L’Omicidio è stato festeggiato in seno alla Comunità e i Perpetratori non sono mai stati portati di fronte alla Giustizia. Secondo il Guardian UK (11 maggio 2008), il Padre ha enfatizzato lo Svolgimento della sua Azione: ‘I miei Figli stanno dalla mia Parte, e sono stati Uomini a sufficienza per aiutarmi a finire la Vita di qualcuno che ha semplicemente portato Vergogna su di Noi’.
In Modo crescente, comunque, gli Assassini di Donne islamiche avvengono su Suolo statunitense. Il 6 luglio dello scorso anno, a Jonesboro, in Georgia, secondo la Polizia, un Pakistano di nome Chaudhry Rashid ha strangolato sua Figlia 25enne, nella sua Stanza, con una corda per Bungee, perché lei voleva dar fine al suo Matrimonio combinato.
La Gazette Packet (26 marzo – 1 aprile 2008) di Alexandria, Virginia, descrive l’Omicidio di una Moglie da parte del Marito etiope che ha preso un Servosterzo dall’Armadio per dissanguarla a Morte (è poco chiaro se la loro Figlia 11enne sia stata Testimone dell’Assassinio). Sebbene i Titoli delle Notizie non descrivano il Fatto quale ‘Delitto d’Onore’, l’Articolo menziona l’Avvocato difensore che cerca di spiegare il Contesto grazie a cui il Comportamento potrebbe essere compreso (Parola curiosa ‘Comportamento’ per descrivere un Assassinio e una Storia fatta ‘di Sospetti e di Comportamento controllato – per cui lui rifiutava di lasciare che la Moglie interagisse con i Collaboratori di lei’). L’Articolo sottolinea che ‘le Differenze culturali con cui ha dovuto lottare Hussein in America, hanno creato enormi Problemi nel già problematico Matrimonio. In Etiopia, le Donne hanno Ruoli più definiti’. Questo è un Modo politicamente corretto per dire che in questi Paesi ci si aspetta che le Donne si sottomettano ai loro Mariti e che manchino degli stessi Diritti legali che hanno gli Uomini. Sotto la dura Legge della Shari’a (islamica), solo il Marito può garantire il Permesso di divorziare.
A gennaio 2008, due sorelle, Sarah e Amina Said, sono state uccise in Texas dal loro Padre, che ha sposato la sua Moglie di Religione cristiana quando lei aveva solo 15 anni. Le ragazze ottenevano Voti alti a Scuola; una aveva vinto una Borsa di Studio di 20'000 Dollari; ad entrambi è stato sparato fino alla Morte mentre chiamavano la Polizia perché le soccorresse. Il loro Padre nato Egiziano, implicato negli Omicidi, è ancora in Libertà. Il Padre era sospettato di una Storia di Abuso fisico e sessuale sulle sue Figlie e aveva minacciato di portarle in Egitto dove avrebbero potuto essere uccise per aver disonorato la Famiglia.
In un orrendo e recente Omicidio nella Parte settentrionale di New York, una Donna 37enne, Aasiya Hassan, è stata decapitata dal suo Marito islamico. L’Avvocato distrettuale di Erie County, Frank Sedita III, ha descritto il Marito quale … ‘un Bastardo particolarmente vizioso e senza rimorsi’ (FoxNews.com – 17 febbraio). ‘Ignoriamo se fosse motivato da qualche Tipo d’Interpretazione della sua Visione religiosa o culturale’. L’Ironia relativa all’Omicidio della giovane Moglie e del mostrare le Parti del Corpo, che sono una Reminescenza di un Atto di Terrorismo, è che che Muzzammil e Aasiya Hassan hanno fondato la Bridges TV nel 2004 per contrastare Stereotipi anti-Islam.
Cosa motiverebbe un Marito a decapitare sua Moglie? Il Crimine di lei è stato il semplice Atto di richiedere il Divorzio. Alcuni Uomini islamici considerano il Divorzio una Macchia per la Famiglia – che porta Disonore e perciò, punibile con la Morte. Secondo Testimonianze, Aasiya è stata soggetta a Violenza domestica per mano di suo Marito, prima di chiedere il Divorzio, e le era stato garantito un Ordine di Protezione che vietava a lui di entrare in Casa.
Un Rabbi che era Produttore e Ospite della Bridges TV, ha fatto notare sulla Scìa dell’Omicidio che ‘Ora non è tempo’ di dibattere sul Contesto religioso e culturale dell’Omicidio – ‘vorrei solo dire a Coloro che giungono alla Conclusione che questo genere di Cose è intrinseco all’Islam: chiedete a voi stessi se l’Ubriachezza è intrinseca gli Irlandesi cattolici, o la Truffa negli Affari lo è agli Ebrei?’
Questo Rabbi, a Parte fare Paragoni odiosi e intellettualmente disonesti fra gli Irlandesi cattolici e gli Ebrei, evidentemente sembra non comprendere quante Donne sono trattate come Mobilio sotto Regimi strettamente islamici. (Mentre) negli Stati Uniti, in Irlanda ed Israele, questi Crimini orribili sarebbero puniti, l’Omicida evitato dalla Comunità, ed esso potrebbe dover far fronte alla Pena di Morte oppure passare la Vita in Prigione.
Le Donne sono ancora forzate ad entrare in Matrimoni forzati in molti Paesi islamici e le Spose bambine sono un Fatto normale. Le Femministe sono totalmente silenti in merito a questa sistematica Violazione dei Diritti umani più basilari delle Donne, (che avviene) attraverso tutto il mondo islamico. Nessun Omicidio di una Moglie o Figlia sarebbe mai associato alla Parola ‘Onore’ in qualsiasi Società occidentale democratica.
Nell’assumere questa Frase, stiamo cadendo nella Trappola di lasciare che gli Estremisti islamici giustifichino e razionalizzino il più brutale degli Omicidi.

2. Canada – Crimine d’Onore : Ammette di aver abbattuto sua Sorella e il suo
Hasibullah Sadiqi subisce il suo Processo ad Ottawa per aver abbattuto sua Sorella e il suo Fidanzato nel 2006. I suoi Avvocati cercano di fare accettare l’Attentato all’’Onore’ come Fatto attenuante di fronte ad un’Accusa di Omicidio.
Sadiqi è riuscito a reclutare una Donna per assicurare la sua Difesa. Questa Avvocatessa funge da ‘utile Idiota’. Ma ci sono poche Possibilità che la ‘Difesa basata sulla Provocazione’ sia accettata. Abbiamo rapportato qui --> (ici), un Caso di Omicidio d’Onore in Ontario, dove questa Difesa è stata rigettata da parte della Corte d’Appello. La Corte ha giudicato che il Diritto penale non possa accettare che un Sistema di Credenze contrarie ai Valori canadesi fondamentali fondi una Difesa parziale di fronte all’Accusa di Omicidio. La Corte suprema ha rifiutato d’intervenire, confermando de facto le Conclusioni della Corte d’Appello.
Negli Stati Uniti, il Gruppo Muslims Against Sharia (Islamici contro la Shari’a) milita perché il Crimine d’Onore sia considerato come un Crimine motivato dall’Odio, che è un Fattore aggravante del Crimine, piuttosto che un Fattore che lo mitiga.

Ottawa Citizen – Gli Avvocati di un Uomo che ha abbattuto sua Sorella e il suo Fidanzato invocheranno la Provocazione
Il Ministero pubblico ha annunciato che apporterà la Prova che l’Omicidio è stato un Crimine d’Onore che l’accusato ha commesso perché disapprovava il Fidanzamento di sua Sorella. Gli Avvocati di Sidiqi non negano che il loro Cliente abbia commesso il doppio Omicidio, ma ci si aspetta che sollevino una Difesa basata sulla Provocazione, ciò che potrebbe ridurre l’Accusa di Omicidio ad una di Omicidio involontario, colpevole se certe Condizioni sono adempite.
In effetti, l’Accusa e la Difesa ammettono che è stato un Crimine d’Onore. Sono in disaccordo sulle Conseguenze giuridiche del presunto Attentato all’’Onore’: ‘Sadiqi, un canadese d’Origine afghana, è incolpato in base a due Capi d’Accusa di Omicidio di primo Grado. La Corte deve sapere che lui era scontento perché sua Sorella si era fidanzata senza l’Autorizzazione del loro Padre e si era spostata dalla Famiglia Mangal’ - ha detto il (Procuratore della Corona aggiunto Mark) Moors alla Giuria composta da 5 Donne e 7 Uomini.

La Difesa non contesta il Fatto che Sadiqi sia responsabile di questi Omicidi. Natasha Calvinho, uno degli Avvocati di Sadiqi, ha detto alla Giuria che ciò che sta al Centro della Causa è la Classificazione di questi Omicidi: ‘La Domanda non è tanto di sapere chi l’ha commesso, ma piuttosto ‘perché l’ha fatto?’ ‘ – ha detto l’Avvocatessa.

L’Associazione francese Regards de femmes [1] (Sguardi di Donna) è riuscita in un’Impresa straordinaria. Ha ottenuto dalla Corte di Cassazione (l’equivalente della nostra Corte suprema) che la Condanna di un Imam, a 6 mesi di Prigione con Sospensione e un’Ammenda di 2'000 Euro fosse confermata, in quanto egli pretendeva di legittimare delle Violenze contro le Donne appoggiandosi sul Corano.
In Canada, dei Testimoni sono riconosciuti di fronte ai nostri Tribunali in quanto ad ‘Esperti’, perché spieghino ai Giudici e alle Giurie che l’Islam e la Cultura islamica giustificano i Crimini d’Onore contro le Donne. Cosa aspettiamo per rendere proibito questo Tipo di Testimonianza? Nel Caso francese, l’Imam Bouziane aveva rilasciato un’Intervista ad una Rivista, in cui spiegava che il Corano autorizzava in certi Casi che un Islamico picchiasse sua Moglie.
In Francia, la Corte ha dichiarato che ‘l’Esercizio da parte dell’Accusato delle Libertà fondamentali di Pensiero, di Coscienza e di Religione e d’Espressione, non può affrancarsi dal Rispetto dei Limiti legittimi posti dalla Legge francese’. Altrimenti detto, un Imam non ha il Diritto fondamentale di propagare dei Versetti del Corano che giustificano la Violenza contro le Donne.
Da Noi, la Corte d’Appello dell’Ontario ha confermato l’anno passato la Condanna di un Marito islamico a 25 anni di Prigione per l’Omicidio brutale di sua Moglie, che egli sospettava d’Adulterio [2]. Egli ha tentato di ottenere una Sentenza ridotta sollevando una Difesa basata sulla ‘Provocazione’.
Appoggiandosi sulla sua Difesa, il Marito ha fatto testimoniare il Dr. Ayoub che è stato riconosciuto dalla Corte come un Esperto dell’Islam e della Cultura islamica. Ecco un Riassunto di una Parte della Testimonianza di questo ‘Esperto’ rapportata dalla Corte d’Appello (mia traduzione):
* La Cultura islamica accorda una grande Importanza al Concetto d’Onore familiare. L’Infedeltà della Donna è considerata come un serio Attentato all’Onore della Famiglia e giustifica una Punizione severa inflitta dagli Uomini della Famiglia.
* L’Infedeltà della Donna è una Stigmate sull’Onore dell’Uomo e della Famiglia, che può condurre ad una grande Violenza.
* Nelle Culture islamiche, l’Infedeltà della Donna non è tollerata.
La Corte ha rigettato questa Difesa, giudicando che il Diritto penale non possa accettare che un Sistema di Credenze contrario ai Valori canadesi fondamentali possa fondare una Difesa parziale, di fronte ad un’Accusa di Omicidio.
Rigettare questo tipo di Difesa è insufficiente. Per quanto tempo dovremo tollerare che i nostri Tribunali riconoscano che esiste una Cosa come quella dell’’Esperto’ teologico in Materia di Violenza contro le Donne? I Tribunali non dovrebbero servire da Tribune per delle Spiegazioni sui Fondamenti teologici degli Omicidi delle Donne. In più, le Prediche e i Sermoni nelle Moschee che giustificano la Violenza verso le Donne dovrebbero essere criminalizzati, e gli Imam o altri ‘Sapienti della Religione’ che propagano certi Messaggi dovrebbero essere deportati.

Per essere più precisi, ALCUNI occidentali sono ingenui, rapaci, e codardi.
Alcuni occidentali, soprattutto Politici, agiscono in buona Fede verso gli Islamisti e i Terroristi islamici. Guantanamo sarà chiusa, ed i suoi Carcerati saranno riabilitati negli Stati Uniti e in alcuni Paesi europei – sebbene chiunque sappia che questi uomini non vagabondassero in Afghanistan casualmente come Turisti, ma fossero Criminali che combattevano fianco a fianco ai loro Compagni Talebani, quando furono arrestati.
Assieme ad Hamid Karzei, il Presidente afghano e al Presidente pakistano Asif Ali Zardari, la Segretaria di Stato Hillary Clinton ha detto - durante una Conferenza Stampa il 6 maggio 2009 - che è ‘profondamente dispiaciuta’ per la Morte di Civili in un recente Scontro con i Terroristi Talebani, ed ha promesso approfondite Investigazioni.
Ma la Clinton dovrebbe sapere, a tutt’Oggi, che i Terroristi - che siano Talebani o Hamas - non danno alcun Valore alla Vita umana. Usano i Civili come Scudi umani quando combattono ‘gli Infedeli’. Questo è diventato un Modello comportamentale in Afghanistan e a Gaza. Per di più, poiché questi Terroristi non indossano alcuna Uniforme, è difficile dire se siano Civili o Terroristi.
La maggior Parte dei Rapporti che provengono dall’Afghanistan corroborano il Fatto che i Talebani uccidono deliberatamente Bambini innocenti e Donne in Scontri con Truppe occidentali per macchiare l’Immagine di queste Truppe e presentarle come Aggressori.
Naturalmente, è spiacevole quando Civili innocenti vengono accidentalmente uccisi, ma sono i Talebani da biasimare, e nessun Altro. Molto spesso, i Soldati occidentali rischiano le loro Vite al fine di evitare l’Uccisione di Civili.

There are several lessons that the U.S. government and public should learn from the foiled plot by four radical Muslims, disclosed today, to bomb synagogues in New York and shoot down a military plane using a Stinger missile.
For President Obama, the "enemy" can no longer be limited to just Al Qaeda, as he has insisted in pre- and post- campaign interviews. When asked who the enemy is, he reflexively says "Al Qaeda." He has categorically refused to use the term "radical Islam" or "Islamic extremism." But that is exactly what we are facing—and have been facing for the past three decades.
It was radical Islam when the Hezbollah killed 241 Marines in Beirut in October 1983. It was radical Islam when the World Trade Center was bombed in 1993. It was radical Islam when hundreds of Israelis were blown to smithereens in Hamas suicide bombings. It was radical Islam that was responsible for the killing of hundreds of Bali vacationers, the bombing of Spanish trains and the suicide bombings of the London tube killing scores of Londoners in July 2005. Radical Islam has been responsible for the murder or attempted murder of tens of thousands of civilians in nearly every corner of the globe, no matter what group you call it-Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Lakshar e-Tayba and yes, Al Qaeda. Just when threats of terrorism had seemingly disappeared from the radar screen, Americans woke up Thursday morning to hear the news about four radical Muslims who plotted to bomb two synagogues in New York and shoot down a military plane using a Stinger missile. Fortunately, the FBI had infiltrated the plotters from the very beginning with a confidential informant who learned of the plan from an Afghan-born Muslim.
Prosecutors say the suspects obtained what they believed was a live Stinger missile and three improvised explosive devices with C-4 explosive. "While the weapons provided to the defendants by the cooperating witness were fake, the defendants thought they were absolutely real," said acting United States attorney Lev Dassin in a prepared statement. California is the world capital of the entertainment industry, which provides major revenues to the state. To protect it, Senator Ellen Corbett (D), the Chair of the Judiciary Committee, initiated California's Anti-Libel Tourism Act (SB 320), which on April 28, 2009 unanimously passed in the State Senate.
Today, people who could never win a libel lawsuit in United States or California are suing in libel-friendly countries like the United Kingdom, where they obtain costly judgments against Americans. International treaties require U.S. courts to recognize and enforce these judgments. But SB 320, "would prohibit state courts from enforcing a defamation judgment obtained in a foreign jurisdiction, unless the court determines the defamation law applied in the case provided at least as much protection for freedom of expression as offered by the U.S. and California Constitutions." On May 6, 2009, the president of the Alavi Foundation, Farshid Jahedi, was indicted at the Southern District of New York, "for allegedly destroying documents subpoenaed by a grand jury investigating the Alavi Foundation’s relationship with Bank Melli Iran and the ownership of a Manhattan office building." Yet, this important indictment recived very little attention in the media.
The Alavi Foundation was established in 1973 by the Shah of Iran as the Pahlavi Foundation, "to pursue Iran's charitable interests in the United States." It was renamed the Mostazafan Foundation in 1981 by the Ayatollah Khomeini and renamed again in 1992 as the Alavi Foundation.
As early as 1979, the foundation and its partner Bank Melli were recognized as procurement fronts for Iran's nuclear weapons program. Twenty years later, the U.S. government recognized Bank Melli as a vehicle controlled by the Iranian Government. The bank was finally designated a terrorist entity on Oct. 25,2007. What took so long? The Alavi Foundation's Web site states that its mission is promoting and supporting Shiite educational, religious and cultural programs: in essence, delivering the mullahs' message to America. Many fled their homes after the Taliban took over the Swat valley, and others were forced to leave amid the fierce fighting between the Taliban and the Pakistani military. The Saudis say they are friends of the West and of all Muslim nations, but their real alliance is with Iran, Hamas and the Taliban--as you can tell just by following the money.
Indeed, to get hundreds of millions, and even billions, of dollars in emergency funds from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the Gulf States, the Pakistani refugees should have declared themselves Palestinian.

They convinced a court that Joe "intends to threaten to take unlawful action... cause bodily injury... or threaten Plaintiffs or their members with immediate bodily injury." On those grounds the court imposed a restraining order on him. In addition, the groups are suing Joe for defamation to stop him from writing about Muslims in the future and to close down his web sites.
Joe's never threatened anyone in his life. He's written well-detailed reports, however, about the growing threat radical Muslims represent and he's identified individuals and organizations in the United States that are supporting our enemies.
The seven Muslim groups who've united to attack Joe and strip him of his rights are well financed and savvy to our court system. There has been a flurry of legal activity as these radicals continue to fuel the fire with senseless demands and accusations - and money. They have deep pockets. They truly believe they can silence Joe by financially breaking him and the Freedom Center's legal team

There are those members of the radical Muslim community who wish to silence their opponents via legal means. The goal is to instill fear and to create an undue fiscal burden on those who speak out against them, so that the truth about their dangerous agendas will never reach the public.
“It is high time the type of [rhetoric] directed specifically at the Muslim community and its leadership by right-wing extremists and so-called terrorist experts stops. These were the words of former member of Congress Walter Fauntroy, speaking for and defending Islamist activist Mahdi Bray, whose extensive criminal history had just been exposed by the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT), an organization headed by counter-terror authority Steven Emerson. CAIR or the Council on American-Islamic Relations has been outed as being a front for Hamas. It was founded in June 1994 by three operatives from the American propaganda wing of Hamas, the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP). It was created as being a part of Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzook’s American Palestine Committee. In an elaborate sting operation, four African American Muslim men were arrested Wednesday night in New York City for attempting to bomb two synagogues in the Bronx and for conspiring to shoot down military planes at an Air National Guard base in Newburgh, NY. James Cromitie, David Williams, Onta Williams and Laguerre Payen were friends who had met while serving time in prison and it was there that they converted to Islam.
The bombs in their possession were fake; supplied to them by an FBI informant who had been cooperating with authorities since 2002, when he pleaded guilty to taking part in an unrelated fraud scheme. The four men attended the Masjid al-Ikhlas mosque in Newburgh, New York, where they first met the informant. In April, Mr. Cromitie, 53 and the other men in their 20s and 30s selected the Riverdale Temple, the Riverdale Jewish Center and the National Guard base as their targets. On May 6, they obtained the bogus surface to air missiles and explosive devices that they were to use in the attack from a Connecticut warehouse.
Eric Snyder, an assistant United States attorney, said at their arraignment, "It's hard to envision a more chilling plot. These are extremely violent men. These are men who eagerly embraced an opportunity to "bring death to Jews". Addressing the fact that all four men were born in the United States, New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said, "It speaks to our concern about homegrown terrorism." He added that, "They stated that they wanted to commit jihad. They were disturbed about what was happening in Afghanistan and Pakistan, that Muslims were being killed". He also said that the defendants also said that if Jews were killed in this attack that would be all right with them.
When queried as to whether the four men acted in concert or received support from any known terrorist organizations, Mr. Kelly said they acted alone.
In an article written for the Pajamas Media web site that appeared on May 21st entitled, "Homegrown Islamic Jihad in the Bronx: Now We Are All Israelis", Dr. Phyllis Chesler, an emerita professor of psychology and women's studies at the City University of New York states:
"Onta Williams of the Bronx Four is quoted as saying: “They (the United States military) are killing Muslim brothers and sisters in Muslim countries, so if we kill them here (in the United States) with IEDs (improved explosive devices) and Stingers, it is equal.” James Cromitie, a.k.a. Abdul Rahman, stated that he was part of a Pakistani-based terror group and wanted to kill Jews and Americans. According to the New York Post, “Cromitie pointed to people walking on the street in the vicinity of a Jewish community center and said that if he had a gun, he would shoot each one in the head.”
This raises some serious questions about Commissioner Kelly's assertion that these men acted independently, sans the backing from radical Islamic terrorist organizations.
This is certainly not the first time that the authorities have hastened to declare that terrorists were tantamount to common criminals. On the evening of November 5, 1990 the far reaching tentacles of global jihad ominously pervaded the United States, yet it would be many years to come before anyone made the connection. On that evening, Egyptian born terrorist El Said Nosair, a Brooklyn resident and city employee walked into a conference room at the Marriott Hotel on New York's east side. He then brandished a .357 magnum revolver and assassinated Rabbi Meir Kahane, founder of the Jewish Defense League and member of the Israeli parliament. Within hours after the murder the New York City police spokesman said that the defendant did not have ties to terror organizations and labeled the shooting as a homicide. Joseph Borelli, then chief of New York City detectives, said the shooting of Rabbi Kahane was the work of a lone gunman and the search of his apartment had turned up nothing.
According to an article written by investigative journalist, Seamus McGraw entitled, "The Killing of Rabbi Kahane: Jihad in America", he states: "As authorities would later discover, the bullets fired from Nosairs gun were the opening salvo in a war, a war waged by Islamic extremists against America and its interests. Within three years of the Kahane shooting, a group of men closely linked to Nosair, men led by the blind Sheik Omar Ahmad Abdul Rahman, would launch the first attack on the World Trade Center, setting off a deadly bomb in the basement of the towering building. Later, members of the cabal would be accused of planning a reign of terror against New York, plans that included attacks on the citys bridges and tunnels. And a few years after that, a handful of terrorists, under orders from Osama bin Laden and his Al Qaeda network, a network that counted some of Nosair's allies among its members, would ultimately topple those towers, and attack the Pentagon. All of it, authorities would later say, was foreshadowed within three days of Nosairs arrest when investigators poring through his Cliffside Park, N.J., apartment would find a diary in his handwriting that would later seem almost prophetic. In it, Nosair called for jihad against the enemies of Islam and urged his comrades to bring America to its knees by destroying the structure of their civilized pillars; their high world buildings which they are proud of; their statues and the buildings in which their leaders gather. But all of that was missed in the days immediately after the Kahane killing." There is no question that the pernicious and baneful agenda of radical Islam continues to proliferate in the Western world and as such, the theology of global jihad has taken root in the Middle East, Europe and the United States. And for those who cherish the freedoms that our democratic system affords us; to those who are concerned about the future of Western civilization as we know it, let us raise our collective voices in protest against jihadists of all stripes. Let us shuffle our priorities and let out elected officials and our president know that the threat of jihad on our shores is our number one domestic and foreign policy issue. Before it is too late, we must mobilize expeditiously.
Two Pennsylvanian’s quit the Flight 93 Memorial Commission last week, protesting Park Service plans to condemn five crash-site properties that it never negotiated for in good faith. Consider the case of the Lambert family, who have been on their land for three generations:
"It's absolutely a surprise. I'm shocked by it. I'm disappointed by it," said Tim Lambert, who owns nearly 164 acres that his grandfather bought in the 1930s. The park service plans to condemn two parcels totaling about five acres — land, he said, he had always intended to donate for the memorial.
"To the best of my knowledge and my lawyer, absolutely no negotiations have taken place with the park service where we've sat down and discussed this," Lambert said.
Lambert said he had mainly dealt with the Families of Flight 93 and said he's provided the group all the information it's asked for, including an appraisal.
They are condemning land that he was trying to GIVE to them, just because he had the gall to expect the Park Service to actually do its part.
Project members have embraced the “absolute moral authority” conceit
How dare anyone not rush to give these grieving 9/11 family members whatever they want? Didn’t they hear Maureen Dowd’s proclamation that “the moral authority of parents who bury children killed in Iraq [or on 9/11] is absolute”?
When crash-site owner Mike Svonavec put up a donation box to try to cover some of the cost of hiring security guards for the hugely popular Temporary Memorial, Patrick White, cousin of Flight 93 hero Louis Nacke, told the press:
That land has been paid for with 40 lives ... the donation box is an insult to that cost.
When Svonavec insisted that the Park Service follow its own legally required procedures for assessing property values (procedures that, as it happens, take into account current property values, not just pre-crash property values), White accused Svonavec of trying to profit from the blood of his cousin:
"I think Svonavec believes his land, because it has the blood of my cousin and 39 other people, it's worth more," he said.
Using the flag of victim-hood to defend Paul Murdoch’s terrorist memorial mosque
Project members use the same trick to deflect criticism of the giant Islamic-shaped crescent that is now being built on the crash-site. When people point out the hidden terrorist memorializing features—things that no one knew about when the Crescent of Embrace design was chosen—like the Mecca-orientation of the giant crescent, or the 44 glass blocks emplaced along the flight path, Project members not only deny these easy to verify facts, but they pretend that they are being accused of intending to honor the terrorists:
“That’s an absolute, unequivocal fabrication that is being portrayed as fact,” said Edward Felt’s brother, Gordon Felt [about the 44 blocks claim].
He says he is insulted people would believe he would participate in anything that honored his brother's killers.
In The Church of Liberalism, Ann Coulter slammed the media for granting the Jersey Girls an “absolute moral authority” card, not questioning the Girls’ practice of blaming the Bush administration instead of al Qaeda for their husband's deaths on 9/11. The Jersey Girls were bad enough, but nowhere is the flag of victim-hood being used to cover up more bad behavior than at the Memorial Project.
Active cover-up of an ongoing Islamic supremacist plot
Like the Jersey Girls, the Memorial Project gives Islam a pass for 9/11. Project members might not have known about the Mecca-orientation of the Crescent of Embrace, but they DID know that it was a giant Islamic-shaped crescent. Now they are doing far worse. Now they DO know that the giant crescent points almost exactly at Mecca, and are consistently misleading the press about it.
Their own Muslim consultant told them not to worry about the Mecca-oriented crescent, claiming that it can’t be seen as a mihrab (the Mecca-direction indicator around which every mosque is built) unless it points EXACTLY at Mecca (a claim that was contradicted earlier this month by Saudi religious authorities).
So what does Project Supervisor Joanne Hanley say when asked about the Mecca-orientation claim?
The only thing that orients the memorial is the crash site.
They are actively and knowingly covering up clear evidence of an ongoing al Qaeda sympathizing plot. Bad behavior indeed.

JAKARTA, May 18 (Compass Direct News) – An Islamic group in West Sumatra province, Indonesia, has issued threats against Dominikus Supriyanto, the only Catholic to win a seat in the district legislature in recent general elections, warning him that he should convert to Islam if he wants to retain the seat.
On April 23, after results were announced, a group identifying itself as the Islamic Forum of West Pasaman attacked Supriyanto’s home, slinging stones and breaking several windows. Supriyanto, who was in the house at the time, said the attackers also shouted threats and demanded that he become a Muslim if he planned to stay in politics.
Supriyanto reported the incident to police and requested protection. After a brief investigation, police concluded that the attackers had most likely acted on behalf of unsuccessful election candidates.
Elections took place on April 9, but the election commission has only recently confirmed the names of those who will take up positions at district, provincial and national levels. Read more ...

Cairo, 18 May (AKI) - Thirteen officials from Egypt's banned opposition group, the Muslim Brotherhood, have been formally charged with terrorism and money laundering in Cairo. According to the Arab daily, al-Hayat, the leaders have been accused of running "secret training camps called 'jihadist camps' where they trained groups of students in armed combat".
The most important member of the group, Osama Nasr, has been accused of "having supported an illegal group that uses terrorism to achieve its aims and publishes brochures and and books to spread its ideological message, recycling money obtained from terrorism".
Prosecutors claim that the accused hid their training camps behind the guise of so called "sports camps" and young recruits were taught how to use arms before being sent to "war zones" to show their solidarity for besieged Gazans their and opposition to Israel's recent military offensive. BEIRUT -- Arab governments are starting to see the fingerprints of Lebanon's Hezbollah all over the Middle East, adding to their growing alarm over Iran's power and a widening Sunni-Shiite rift.
The worry comes at a time when Hezbollah, a Shiite militant group and political party backed by Iran, already is expected to make strong political gains inside Lebanon in June 7 elections.
The double whammy by Hezbollah - of growing political influence at home, coupled with more outreach abroad - has put the squeeze on traditional but waning Arab powers like Egypt, already rattled by President Barack Obama's outreach to their foe Iran.
"Hezbollah ..... (now) plays a role that is heavier, more important and influential than many Arab nations," said Amal Saad-Ghorayeb, a Lebanese expert on the group.
Nowhere has the feud been as overt as between Hezbollah and Egypt, which recently accused the Lebanese Shiite group of organizing a cell to carry out terror attacks inside Egypt. Read more ...
Former President George W. Bush's policy of en couraging Middle East democratization has just produced spectacular results in the Kuwaiti general election.
In a major victory for the secular reformists over the Islamists, women -- four of them -- were elected to the 50-seat national parliament for the first time. The Islamists' share of Sunday's vote dropped almost 30 percent from the last general election, held just more than a year ago. The radical Muslim Brotherhood lost three of its four seats, while the hard-line Salafis dropped to two from four.
The election of women represents a political earthquake in the Gulf Cooperation Council, a grouping of six oil-rich traditional Arab monarchies. Kuwait has had a parliament on and off since gaining independence in 1960, but the other GCC members entered the era of electoral politics largely due to pressure from the Bush administration. US pressure also played a crucial part in persuading Kuwait's leaders to enfranchise women for the first time in 2005. Read more ...
Menacing anti-Israel demonstrations in the street, rabid anti-Israel resolutions at the United Nations, obsessive anti-Israel boycott resolutions among western academics, relentless anti-Israel headlines in the world media are “politics as usual,” involving the young and the fanatic. Most civilians barely notice it. They are worried about employment, health insurance, college tuition for their children—or about celebrities, whose decadent rise and fall distracts them from their own more ordinary miseries.
What worries me more are the movies and plays that subtly and inexorably shift the civilian point of view, movies which glamorize Arab tyrants and terrorists and demonize Israeli soldiers, “settlers” and politicians. Gradually, almost imperceptibly, ordinary people have come to believe that the Muslim world is peaceful, friendly, safe; that its “rough edges” are due to it’s having formerly been oppressed by Europe; that Islamist terrorism has probably been caused by the United States’ invasion of Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan; that much of this is Israel’s fault—or rather, that much of this may now be solved if only America sacrifices Israel for the sake of world peace, including its own survival.

Sometimes I look at it, often I don’t. So many glossy photos, so little time. How the primary organization dedicated to combating anti-Semitism finds itself paired with the strangest of bedfellows.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is making news again, or, to put it less dramatically, it's garnered a few headlines in Jewish weeklies, some coverage in papers in south Florida, a piece in JTA, angry disbelief on anti-Islamist websites (see, for instance, here and here), and from Jewish bloggers, and an accolade in the on-line publication of the leading Muslim/Islamist organization in the United States, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). CAIR is nothing short of flabbergasted if understandably pleased by the ADL's latest loopy escapade. Though Abe Foxman, ADL National Director, would prefer if all the press his organization receives these days focused on his pontifications about the Pontiff, the little news story that doesn't want to go away is decidedly messier, more problematic, and deserves to be widely known because it's a bellwether for Jewish Establishment behavior on a variety of issues, including immigration.
This time the news isn't about the ADL's predatory take on the Armenian Genocide. The organization whose putative mission is not only to "stop the defamation of the Jewish people" but also to "secure justice and fair treatment for all" was finally forced to sever its ties to the Armenian Genocide Denial movement because outraged board members threatened to resign and take their contributions with them. However, the recent press it's received for yet another noisome, controversial action suggests it's learned little from that episode. If it continues playing it cards this poorly and does not recant once more, it will likely find itself embroiled in yet another discreditable media spectacle. Read more ...
