Hi everyone...
I am a new blogger and I am thrilled to see some good people here at Muslims Against Sharia trying to change a system that just isn't working. Now that is TRUE courage!!
I'm just a regular American who doesn't want to see anyone hurt or oppressed. I would love to see ALL wars end and see all people live in peace. Unfortunately, I am also a realist and I know that those hopes aren't likely to come true anytime soon. But just the fact that there ARE people who want to change the parts of their culture that aren't working, is cause for hope and celebration.
I did 20 years in the US military and I've seen some good and some bad in our military and in the countries I visited. I experienced some very friendly and kind hospitality in the Middle Eastern countries.
I know that there are some Muslims out there who are very nice, friendly and want to live in freedom and peace and to those people, America welcomes you with open arms. But it is not enough to be a "moderate Muslim" and be peaceful... It is imperative that you stand up and denounce the violence and try to reform Islam to be a viable religion in the 21st century. If you do not stand up - YOU ARE IRRELEVANT!!!
All it takes for evil to overcome us is for good people to do nothing!
