On November 9, 2008, the Islamist website Al-Faluja posted an audio message by Al-Qaeda in Yemen that includes a fatwa issued by Yemeni sheikhs Abu Zubayr 'Adl Al-'Abab and Abu Miqdad Al-Kindi.
The fatwa exhorts Muslims to destroy foreign embassies in Yemen, particularly the U.S. Embassy, explainingthat these embassies "oppose Allah and his Prophet" and "convert Muslims to Christianity [by] causing them to doubt their faith."
