I was really humbled when invited to join Muslims Against Sharia. I'd like to take this opportunity to express my thanks.
Like many, or most I should say, Islam has been an evil word to me. The news we hear is of terrorist attacks, frivolous lawsuits incited by groups like CAIR. And here in Minneapolis, Muslims working in the service industry, refusing to do their jobs citing religious grounds. So from a non-Muslim perspective, my negative feelings toward Islam should seem fairly easy to understand.
With regards to terrorism. We keep hearing that there are Muslims, in fact the majority, that believe it's wrong. Yet we never hear them say it, stand up and denounce it, and basically fight the hijackers of the Islamic faith.
Until now.
Muslims Against Sharia have made an impact in my life. I am no longer "hating" of Muslims. I have a lot to learn when it comes to Islam. My knowledge is mainly that of Surah.
When I happened across this website it really impressed me. And it proved my pre-concieved notions about Muslims wrong. My feeling is we (non-Muslims) need to do all we can to support this website and others like it. The word needs to be out. My mind has changed, and if I can be changed, others can to. We (non-Muslims) owe it to support this effort.
If we turn our backs, I fear the hatred will never end. In my bible, God says, "Love thy neighbor". Muslims are our neighbors.
