Dave Gaubatz, a former USAF counterintelligence specialist, first came to our attention when he revealed in 2004 evidence of WMD sites in tunnels under the Euphrates. These suspected WMD sites in Southern Iraq (Nasiriyah area) were never exploited by the Iraq Study Group. Those disclosures were the object of an intense disinformation campaign by the ‘shadow warriors’ of the intelligence establishment. Nevertheless, his disclosures lead to a re-examination of what happened to Saddam Hussein’s WMD stockpiles and how they were disposed of prior to the Iraq War in March 2003.
