 It's time to step back, take a deep breath and review the war against the west, and specifically America in the year 2009.  New York Jihad Plot Update. "Sources: Several who went to Pakistan with Zazi back in U.S.," from CNN, October 4: Several people who traveled from New York to Pakistan last year with a man accused of plotting a terrorist attack have since returned to the United States, sources close to the investigation told CNN. A grand jury has been in session in New York in the last week as further charges are considered in the expanding terror investigation, CNN learned. Najibullah Zazi, 24, appeared in federal court last week. He pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiring with others to detonate explosives in the United States. Prosecutors allege that on August 28, 2008, Zazi and others flew to Peshawar, Pakistan, a city with a strong Taliban and al Qaeda presence. Those currently under surveillance in the United States include members of Zazi's travel group, according to one source familiar with the investigation. Another source said at least some of the travel group are back in the United States. Officials will not discuss the identity, number or location of those under surveillance. One of those under round-the-clock surveillance is Queens, New York, resident Naiz Khan. He and Zazi were friends as teenagers and Zazi stayed at Khan's rented apartment on September 10 after driving to New York from Denver. Khan said he has been caught up in the investigation by a series of coincidences. One was that he happened to meet Zazi at a local mosque hours after Zazi arrived in New York last month and offered him a place to stay. He said another coincidence was that he had flown back to the United States from Pakistan on the same day as Zazi: January 15. In an interview with CNN, Khan said he had not flown to Pakistan with Zazi, but had been visiting family in Karachi as he does every year. He showed CNN his passport, which had an entry stamp for Karachi for November 4. Federal investigators found backpacks and a scale when they raided Khan's apartment soon after Zazi stayed there. In the past, scales have been used to measure ingredients for explosives; backpacks were used in the terrorist attacks in Madrid in 2004 and London in 2005. Khan said he had never seen the scale and that the backpacks had been a gift to his uncle, who also lives in the apartment, from a store. He said his uncle planned to send them to children in Pakistan. Khan said Zazi told him he was visiting New York to deal with a business issue related to a permit for a coffee cart that he owned. He also said Zazi visited New York several months previously. Khan said he was shocked at the accusations against Zazi. "He used to enjoy his life and was very happy and never -- I never heard anything from him like that," Khan said. Sources close to the Zazi investigation said it is continuing at full throttle. For the first time, law enforcement officials have been issued specific guidelines for investigating honor-based violence and protecting those at risk: Hundreds of attacks are to be treated as "honor" crimes in a new drive by police to prosecute more offenders. Prosecutors hope the drive will also ensure that victims receive more rapid protection that can save them from possible further violence or a forced marriage. Under the new guidance it will be assumed that an "honor" crime has been committed in any case in which there is the slightest sign that such an offense has taken place — even if the victim has not reported it. Recent news items from across the West underscore the need for an effective strategy: - UK (July): A Danish-born Muslim man suffered stab wounds, was beaten with bricks, and had acid poured down his throat "for having a relationship with a married woman."
- Canada (July): Muslim parents, along with their son, were charged with premeditated murder after their three teenage daughters and the father's first wife were discovered dead in a submerged car. The girls' Westernization has been suggested as a motive.
- Germany (August): A Muslim asylum seeker was found guilty of brutally killing his German-born wife because, in the words of the prosecutor, she was "too independent."
- United States (September): The mother of Sarah and Amina Said finally described their January 1, 2008, shooting deaths as an "honor killing" carried out by their Muslim father.
The West must learn from its past mistakes. Last year British officials admitted that the system had "let down" a murdered Muslim woman named Banaz Mahmod, whose pleas for help had been ignored by police. First Minister Alex Salmond has confirmed he will resign if he loses a no-confidence motion called over the move. The hero's welcome given to Abdul Baset Ali al-Megrahi on his arrival back in Libya has infuriated the United States, with the FBI, top military brass and President Barack Obama all joining in the criticism. And there are political knock-on effects south of the Scottish border too. There have been widespread accusations that the release was linked to trade ties between the UK and Libya. Of the 270 people killed when Pan Am flight 103 exploded over the Scottish town of Lockerbie 21 years ago, 189 of them were American. And since Megrahi walked free last week the US has voiced its displeasure over the move in the strongest terms. The State Department and a U.S. university seem to think so. Consider the case of Christina Abraham, Civil Rights Director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Chicago chapter. It is an affiliate of the national CAIR group that was described by an FBI agent in trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development as a front for Hamas. CAIR had also been declared an unindicted co-conspirator in that same trial, that resulted in sweeping terrorist convictions for all defendants last year. For the past 14 years, CAIR has defended Islamic terrorism, sponsored anti-Semitic conferences and has consistently attacked nearly all U.S. prosecutions of Islamic terrorists and asset forfeitures of Islamic terrorist charitable front groups as racist. Late last year, the FBI severed its relationship with CAIR because of its ties to Hamas. In early 2008, CAIR’s Abraham participated in a program on “Building the National Identity and Civic Participation in the Philippines” conducted at Northern Illinois University (NIU) -- an event funded by the U.S. State Department’s Office of Citizen Exchanges in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. She served as what the program’s training manual described as a “resource person” who “provided…materials for the program,” which ran from May 31 to June 28 under the auspices of NIU’s International Training Office & Center for Southeast Asian Studies. But that wasn’t the end of Abraham’s involvement in the government-funded program. This past January -- again with the State Department picking up the tab -- she traveled to the Philippines to join in a follow-on week-long seminar at the Vistamar Resort in Mactan, Cebu. CAIR was so proud that it issued a press release on February 11, 2009 entitled “Civil Rights Director Participates in State Dept. Delegation to Philippines.”[1] CAIR-Chicago reported that Abraham “headed to the Philippines this January as a part of a delegation to the International Visitor’s [sic] Program (IVP) Conference in Cebu, Philippines.” From January 2-13, the release reported, she gave presentations “on civil rights workshops based upon CAIR-Chicago’s work for victims of discrimination.” And the reported noted: “Each of the U.S. delegates was chosen for their respective expertise in methods for constructive civic engagement.” What was Abraham’s special expertise in “civil rights discrimination” and “constructive civic engagement” that merited her to be selected as an emissary of the United States to underdeveloped nations? Curiously, her record in the United States and that of her employer, CAIR, shows that she and CAIR have publicly issued fabricated allegations against the United States for its supposed massive and rampant racism against the majority of U.S. Muslims.  Marri, who was the last “enemy combatant” held on US soil, faces a maximum of 15 years in jail after reaching a deal with prosecutors to drop a second charge in exchange for the guilty plea.
He will be sentenced on July 30.
Marri admitted to attending several terrorist training camps in Pakistan from 1998 to 2001.
While there, he said he met Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, considered the architect of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Marri entered the United States on September 10, 2001 with his wife and children ostensibly to study at an Illinois university.
The next day Al-Qa'ida launched its attacks, and Marri was arrested two months later in Illinois on credit card fraud charges.
Unlike the detainees held at the US Naval base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Marri was a legal US resident when he was first arrested.
The Defence Intelligence Agency accused him of being a “sleeper agent” who met terror mastermind Osama bin Laden and was assigned to hack into US financial system computers.
His case was transferred to civil court on February 26 when he was formally indicted on charges of providing support to Al-Qaeda and conspiring with others to do the same. Ali al-Marri

On Thursday March, 5th an estimated 300 Muslims rallied in support of freedom, Israel and the US as they celebrated the International Criminal Court (ICC) decision to indict President Omar Al Bashir of Sudan.
While this might be the first time this many Muslims have ever gathered to show support for democracy and freedom, the real kicker of this story is where they were rallying.
These Muslims are Darfur refugees who fled the Arab Jihad that has slaughtered hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians. They were rallying in support of Israel and the US from the only country in the region that would take them in, Israel.
Did you get that? Muslims rally in support of Israel from inside of Israel. No wonder this has been all over the international media since it happened.

A PROMISE by both presidential candidates to shut Guantanamo Bay will not stop alleged Bali bomber Hambali from facing trial, with prosecutors saying they are on track to charge the terror suspect by year's end.
The chief prosecutor of the US Military Commissions, Colonel Larry Morris, said the election could have some bearing on the future of the controversial terror jail, but he remained confident Hambali would be dealt with.
"I am not concerned he won't face justice," Colonel Morris told The Australian. "I am confident that he will face justice. But I only speak for the commission process -- I don't speak for the Government and I don't speak for the new administration."
Colonel Morris's assurances came as authorities in Indonesia put the final touches on plans to execute Amrozi, Ali Ghufron and Imam Samudra, who were convicted in 2003 of carrying out the Bali bombings, which killed 202 people including 88 Australians.
Colonel Morris said the US authorities were watching developments in Indonesia closely, but the execution of the bombers would not affect the preparations of prosecutors in the US.
Colonel Morris said a new US president might seek to draw a distinction between shutting down the Guantanamo prison and shutting down the military commission system by which the detainees are tried.
Such a distinction could be politically awkward for campaign favourite Barack Obama, who voted against the Military Commission Act, which redesigned the military tribunals following a US Supreme Court ruling that they were illegal.
It could also be awkward for Kevin Rudd, who strongly opposed the military commissions when in Opposition. Mr Rudd described them last year as a "travesty of justice" and called on the US to repatriate Australian David Hicks, the first person convicted under the new system, or try him in a civilian court.
The Prime Minister said yesterday he stood by those remarks.
"The Government stands by our long-held position supporting the closure of Guantanamo Bay as soon as is practicable," a spokesman for Mr Rudd said. "The closure is a complex issue, including satisfying legitimate security concerns of the US as well as of its friends and allies."
Hambali was captured in Thailand in 2003. In 2006, it was announced he had been moved to Guantanamo Bay, where he awaits trial with 13 other detainees, including alleged 9/11 plotter Khalid Shaikh Mohammed.
Colonel Morris declined to give details on what charges Hambali could face.
"All I can say now is violations of the laws of war," he said.
"We're in the final analysis of (the charges), but that's as much as I can say without contradicting myself at some later time." Source: The Australian

An Egyptian who fled Islam and now lives under that religion's sentence of death says the goal of global jihad simply is the takeover of the world.
The man, who now is a pastor in the U.S. and uses the pseudonym Muhammad Kemel, recently was interviewed by Joel Richardson, co-editor of "Why We Left Islam: Former Muslims Speak Out."
Kemel said Islamic tradition teaches that those who leave Islam should be killed, and Muhammad taught, "Whoever leaves his religion (Islam) kill him." And while the U.S. is not governed by Islam's Shariah religious law, many fundamentalist Muslims do not see Shariah as being limited by national boundaries.
Kemel said the truth is that the events of Sept. 11, 2001, were the actions of those who were following the Quran closely.
"Sadly, I heard some of our American leaders and church pastors state that Islam is a peaceful religion, and what happened on 9/11 was done by fanatic Muslims," Kemel said. "These individuals ignore the fact that the main goal of Islam is to rule the world."
He said such instructions are clear in the Quran and Islam's hadiths, or sayings that have been handed down from generation to generation.
"Muslims all over the world are working hard to achieve [the] goal of submission of the entire world to Islam. They are particularly committed to the indoctrination of youth in madrassas, special Islamic schools, particularly in Pakistan and Indonesia," Kemel said.
He said the goal is to have at least 40 million Muslim youths who have memorized the entire Quran.
He said the "average peaceful Muslim and moderate western Muslim" are that way "because they have not studied the Quran."
"If a Muslim begins to study the Quran, understands the true religion of Islam, and what true Islam requires a true Muslim to do, he will either reject Islam or he will become a Muslim committed to violence," Kemel said.
Those who hijacked airplanes on 9/11 and killed thousands "are not extremists from a Quranic viewpoint; only a Western viewpoint," he said.
Kemel told Richardson he was born into a prominent Muslim family in Egypt and considered himself dedicated to Islam. He said he discovered his own faith in Jesus Christ simply through reading the Bible.
Immediately, he was arrested and held for eight months in solitary confinement in jail.
"I was given no bed to sleep on. I slept on the rough cement floor with no cover, no blanket, even through the winter. I was not even supplied with the basic necessities other prisoners were given. … Soldiers came to the cell door and threatened me with death if I would not renounce my belief in Jesus Christ. The secret police warned my family, who eventually learned that I was in prison, not to help me," he told Richardson.
Eventually, he was able to flee Egypt for the U.S., where he's serving a Christian church.
Kemel said he senses a massive conflict developing between hard-line Islam and the rest of the world.
"It was reported by very trusted missionary sources in Algeria that 170,000 Muslims had the same dream of Jesus and many of them became Christians. … Thanks to God, sincere Muslims are rebuking the spiritual forces of darkness that are holding them captive, and that held me captive," he said. "In addition, never witnessed in the past, many Muslim converts, despite the threats on their lives, are sharing their testimonies publicly through the media, through books such as 'Why We Left Islam,' YouTube and television. These are among the reasons why millions of Muslims are coming to know the Lord from many Islamic countries and nations."
Kemel also said on the leading edge of the Islamic aggression are individuals such as Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who speaks frequently about the Imam Al-Mahdi, Islam's coming messiah figure.
"Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is trying to use this Islamic theology to brainwash Iranian youth, to transform them into jihadists, those willing to kill in the name of Islam. By killing and creating chaos in the world, Ahmadinejad and others that hold this viewpoint believe that the coming of Imam Al-Mahdi can be hastened," Kemel said.
"There is a fierce war that is raging between Islam and Christianity in the spiritual realm and this conflict has become more and more evident on the earth," Kemel said. "I believe we will see a dramatic clash between Islam and most of the world sometime in the future, but that the power of Islam will ultimately fail. Jesus Christ and his church will be victorious."
