U.K.: Relatives encouraged 16-year-old Muslim to rape his 12-year-old "bride"

Three elements of this story are of particular interest regarding the subversion of British law for Sharia: The first is the persistence of child marriage, which was made not only acceptable but commendable in Islam (Qur'an 33:21) by Muhammad's own example.

The second is the obvious disregard for the force of non-Islamic law when a practice is permissible under Sharia, and the third is the attitude toward women as property whose rights are limited by the authority of men over them, which permeates Islamic texts and teachings (see, for example, Qur'an 4:34).

Despite the nature of the crime, the light sentences issued in response demonstrate a lack of seriousness in making clear that British law remains the law of the land -- especially for the sake of the most vulnerable members of society, like the pre-teen girl in this case. "Man urged son to rape cousin, 12," from BBC News, December 22

The 54-year-old organised a sham Muslim ceremony between his son, then 16, and the girl at his home in Woolwich, south-east London, in March last year.
At Wood Green Crown Court the boy got an 18-month supervision order for rape.
The fathers of the boy and girl were both jailed for three years for inciting a child to engage in sexual activity following an illegal marriage.
The boy's mother, 54, was given a 12-month jail term, suspended for two years, for the same offence.
She was also ordered to do 200 hours of community service.
The case came to light when the mother of the girl, who objected to the arranged "marriage", told police about it.
Scotland Yard child abuse detectives then discovered several relatives of the boy had urged him to rape his cousin.
In a statement, the girl's mother said: "What happened to my daughter was a nightmare. These convictions will help us move on."
Speaking after the case, Det Insp Noel McHugh, who led the investigation, called it a "really awful crime".
He said: "This has been an exceptionally challenging investigation and we are grateful to all those who assisted with the case and ensured the convictions.
"The offences are incomprehensible and the victim is a truly brave girl who suffered at the hands of those who should have offered her protection."...

Police expect Mumbai-style terror attack on City of London

Scotland Yard has warned businesses in London to expect a Mumbai-style attack on the capital.

In a briefing in the City of London 12 days ago, a senior detective from SO15, the Metropolitan police counter-terrorism command, said: “Mumbai is coming to London.”

The detective said companies should anticipate a shooting and hostage-taking raid “involving a small number of gunmen with handguns and improvised explosive devices”.

The warning — the bluntest issued by police — has underlined an assessment that a terrorist cell may be preparing an attack on London early next year.

During a “commando-style” raid by 10 gunmen on hotels and cafes in Mumbai in November 2008, 174 people were killed and more than 300 injured over three days.

Officials now report an increase in “intelligence chatter” — communications captured by electronic eavesdropping agencies. One senior security adviser said the police warnings had intensified and become much more specific in the past fortnight.

“Before, there has been speculation. Now we are getting what appears to be a definite plot to carry out a firearms attack on London,” he said.

Earlier this year, police, military and intelligence services held an exercise in Kent to see whether they could defeat a commando raid in London by terrorists.

“The exercise brought out to those taking part that the capability doesn’t exist to deal with that situation should it arise,” said a military source.

Security sources said concerns had been raised by “chatter” on a prominent jihadist website two weeks ago.

One contributor suggested fighters could use automatic weapons to strike places such as nightclubs, sporting venues and Jewish centres.

In an online discussion hosted on December 2, another contributor invited suggestions for carrying out “guerrilla warfare” and proposed “a group of mujaheddin raid police stations and fire at them”.

Another said: “Make sure that all those at the location are of age, that there are no children and so on. Insist on the locations and times where no Muslims or children are to be expected.

“If machine guns are available, and explosive and expertise for [explosives] are not available, this is a good way ... The [Mumbai] operation is the ideal scenario for operations you are talking about.”

A third contributor said targets should be “chosen in a studied manner”.

He added: “In general, targeting economic joints and intelligence centres if possible has priority over police stations.”

The Met is understood to be struggling to draw up effective plans to deal with the challenge of mass shootings followed by a prolonged siege with terrorists prepared to kill their hostages and themselves.

In Mumbai, many victims were killed in the first half hour of the attack. The Met is concerned that it will be much longer before the SAS, which has traditionally dealt with terrorist sieges in London, would arrive from its base at Regent’s Park barracks.

Patrick Mercer, chairman of the Commons counter-terrorism sub-committee, said the threat was “very real”.

British spies foil 9/11 New York raid No2

A DEADLY al-Qaeda plot to blow up the New York subway was foiled by British security forces.

Scotland Yard alerted the FBI to the biggest terror plot against America since 9/11 after intercepting an email.

It sparked an operation which led to airport shuttle bus driver Najibullah Zazi, 24, being charged with conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction.

The Afghan is said to have been part of a gang that used stolen credit cards to buy bomb ingredients including nail varnish remover.

The chemicals bought were similar to those used to make the 2005 London Tube and bus explosives which killed 52 people.

Thousands of New Yorkers could have been at risk from a US subway blitz. Zazi, of Denver, Colorado, is alleged to have been given instructions through the internet by a senior al-Qaeda figure in Pakistan.

But the Yard's counter-terrorism branch was monitoring an email address uncovered in April's abortive Operation Pathway probe into an alleged UK terror cell.

Eleven Pakistani suspects were arrested prematurely and later freed after Met anti-terror chief Bob Quick was pictured with a secret document on show while going to brief the PM.

Quick resigned over the gaffe, but officers still kept tabs on the email address.

It lay dormant for months - then was suddenly reactivated in September.

After a British tip-off, US authorities allegedly found bomb-making instructions on Zazi's laptop. His fingerprints were on batteries and measuring scales were seized.

A phone contained video of New York's Grand Central Station, which he visited a week before his arrest. And explosive residue was found in a kitchen. Informants also said Zazi visited a terror training camp in Pakistan. A British security source told The Sun: "This was excellent work and highlights the fact we produce good information."

Furious US intelligence bosses had threatened to stop sharing secrets with Britain after the dying Lockerbie bomber was freed in August.

But the source said: "They were delighted with the intelligence we gave them and believe it helped prevent a catastrophic attack."

Pro-sharia law event is cancelled

A planned march by demonstrators calling for sharia law in Britain has been cancelled, police said.

Scotland Yard said it would now be contacting organisers of a wave of counter-protests in central London and Leeds, West Yorkshire, to inform them of the decision.

Anjem Choudary, leader of the radical Islamic sect Al Muhajiroun, said organisers Islam4UK had been forced to cancel the planned march from the House of Commons to Trafalgar Square because of security concerns.

But he added a meeting of supporters of sharia law would still take place at an undisclosed location.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "The MPS (Metropolitan Police Service) has been informed that today's planned march in central London has now been cancelled.

"Officers are now contacting organisers of planned counter protests to inform them."

The Islamic Society of Britain, which was planning to join other organisations in staging a "dignified, non-violent" counter-demonstration at Piccadilly Circus, said it would not now take place.

A spokesman said: "There's no protest so we won't be holding a counter-demonstration.

"It's a great success that pressure from all sections of the community, including Muslims, has resulted in the Muhajiroun and the hot-heads rethinking their position."

Muslim policeman suing Scotland Yard 'sacked after boasting he beat up vagrant' says white officers framed him

Asad Saeed
Angry: Asad Saeed says he was fitted up by two
white officers are he threatened to expose
the 'apartheid' culture in the police
By Tom Kelly

A Muslim policeman suing Scotland Yard for racial discrimination was sacked after boasting that he beat up a homeless man 'good and proper', an employment tribunal heard today.

Asad Saeed was accused of dragging the vagrant out of a McDonalds and threatening him during only his fifth night on patrol as a Police Community Support Officer.

But the 35-year-old claims he was 'fitted up' over the alleged assault by two racist white officers.

The men invented the story after he threatened to expose the 'apartheid' culture at Belgravia police station in central London where there were separate vans for white and black officers, he said.

However, Mr Saeed's immediate superior, Inspector Debbie Jallali, said in a statement that the day after the alleged assault he told her: 'I done the homeless man good and proper.'

The PCSO denied the claim and said that Inspector Jallali had been 'watching too many excerpts of EastEnders'.

He told the hearing: 'She's lying. When you have not done anything, why would you say to someone 'I done him good and proper'?'

Mr Saeed claimed at least seven other officers had also lied in official statements into the alleged assault and his claims of racism as part of the conspiracy to get him sacked.

The other 'liars' included an Asian sergeant and a black PCSO, who denied his claims about separate vans for white and black officers.

Mr Saeed said: 'This is the way the Met works. You have to be one of the boys, you have to tow the party line.

'There are those like me who resist, and those who just carry on.'

Mr Saeed said he quit a job earning twice as much as a warehouse distribution manager to become a PCSO in January 2007.

He said: 'As a Muslim Asian I wanted to give something back after the London bombings. I felt that I could put a bit of faith into the community. It wasn't about the money anymore.'

But after the allegation of assault in February 2007 he was suspended and later sacked.

He was reinstated after an appeal, but with three reprimands left on his record, meaning he would be unable to become a full police constable.

Mr Saeed, who is now working as a support officer in North London, is claiming compensation over how the assault charge was handled.

An internal Scotland Yard investigation found evidence of racist bullying at Belgravia police station, including the allegation that one white officer vowed to 'bring down all the lazy blacks, one by one.'

The hearing, at the Central London Employment Tribunal, continues.
