 Earlier today, I was lying on my gynecologist’s table in a highly exposed position when suddenly she said: “You’re probably going to think this is very politically incorrect but isn’t it crazy not to profile? I mean, isn’t it clear who’s doing what?” I immediately shot straight up and engaged this worthy liberal in a very politically incorrect conversation. (No, she had absolutely no idea what I’ve been writing about). So: Some things are becoming clear and can no longer be denied. Not even by some liberals. Jihadic terrorists tend to be Muslims. Atheists are not blowing themselves up nor are Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, Ba’haii or Zoroastrians. Not all Muslims are terrorists; but these days, all terrorists seem to be Muslims. Terrorists and their handlers are not all motivated by poverty and suffering. Many are often wealthy and educated men. For example, according to the Wall Street Journal, Humam Khalil Abu Mulal al-Balawi, the Jordanian double agent who recently blew himself up along with seven American CIA operatives in Afghanistan, was a 32 year-old physician. A physician—not a madrassa trained slum dweller. He is now being linked to Al Qaeda in Pakistan. On video, he said: “ We will never forget the blood of our emir, Baitullah Mehsud. We will always demand revenge for him inside America and outside.” (Al-Balawi was shown meeting with the Pakistani Taliban/Al Qaeda and vowing revenge for the death of their leader). Our own homegrown jihadic terrorist, Major Nidal Malik Hassan, (a Palestinian-American), is also a physician, a psychiatrist in fact. He had money, independence, prestige. His massacre at Fort Hood was not motivated by illiteracy, poverty, or war-related trauma. Many Westerners find it difficult to accept that a religious war has been declared against the West; that jihadists are ready to die, wave after wave of them, in order to ensure that our way of life is destroyed.
Their ideal is Islamic supremacy (only Muslims will rule because they are “superior”) and they want to return to a seventh century way of life, albeit one with cellphones, the internet, and nuclear weaponry. Moderate, peaceful Muslims certainly exist—but how many are willing to stand up to the jihadists? For example, according to the AP, only 50 Muslims showed up for a “Muslims Against Terrorism” rally outside the federal courthouse in Detroit where the Christmas Day crotch-bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, was being arraigned. Although the local Detroit press estimated that there were 150 protestors there—this is still a very small showing given that Detroit and its suburbs are also known as “Dearbornistan” and boast the largest Muslim community in the United States. How many European-Muslim leaders protested the fatwa against Salman Rushdie, the murder of Theo Von Gogh, the character assassination of Geert Wilders and Ayaan Hirsi Ali, ore the recently attempted murder of Kurt Westergaard, the Danish cartoonist? How many Muslim religious leaders in Egypt protested the Orthodox Christmas Day shooting of Coptic Christians as they left church? Or protested the abductions, forced conversions, and the hastily arranged marriages of Coptic Christian female children to Muslim adult males? How many Muslim religious leaders have issued fatwas against the Islamic regime of Iran for its heart stopping persecution of Iranian dissidents? Too few, if any. The danger of not standing up early enough is that we condemn ourselves to a higher body count. If we refuse to (behavior) profile now—we must accept that more airports and airplanes will be blown up, more cities held hostage, Mumbai-style.
And, those of us who travel frequently will all have to spend a good part of the rest of our lives standing on line at the airport. And, eventually, at the boat dock, or at the train or bus station. Phyllis Chesler 
 Kurdish demonstrators have clashed with Turkish police a day after Turkey's pro-Kurdish political party was banned by the constitutional court. A crowd threw firebombs and rocks at police vehicles including an armoured bus in the town of Yuksekova close the border with Iraq on Saturday. Police detained about a dozen protesters in the neighboring city of Hakkari, officials said. The move came after after a mob attempted to lynch two police officers but were prevented by local Kurdish politicians, the state-run Anatolia news agency reported. Protests took place elsewhere in the region and the western cities of Ankara and Izmir, Anatolia said. Anita McNaught, Al Jazeera's correspondent in Turkey, said: "We've seen an escalation of street protests, we're now seeing fatalities." The violence followed the banning of the pro-Kurdish DTP party, which Turkey's constitutional court had found guilty of co-operating with the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which has been fighting for autonomy in Turkey's mainly Kurdish southeast in a conflict that has lasted 25 years and claimed 40,000 lives. Ahmet Turk, the chairman of the Democratic Society Party (DTP) and one of two pro-Kurdish legislators who were expelled from parliament, said on Saturday the entire group had withdrawn from the assembly and would boycott parliamentary sessions. "Our group has withdrawn from the parliament effective today," Turk said.
The Kurdish party had a total of 21 seats in the 550-seat assembly before the court shut it down. The court also barred Turk and Aysel Tugluk, another legislator, from joining any political party for five years along with 35 other party members - including Leyla Zana, a prominent Kurd who served a decade in prison on charges of separatism. Abdullah Gul, Turkey's president, defended the court decision during a visit to Montenegro on Saturday. "What else can the court do when there are party administrators who declare the terrorist organisation to be their reason of existence," the Anatolia news agency quoted Gul as saying.
The ruling is likely to hamper Turkey's efforts to join the European Union, which had warned Ankara that banning the party would violate Kurdish rights.
Turkey's Kurdish population, whose language was outlawed for years, has long complained of discrimination. But Hasim Kilic, the constitutional court chairman, said the party's closure "was decided due to its connections with the terror organisation and because it became a focal point of the activities against the country's integrity". The ruling comes after weeks of clashes between police and protesters angry at the the prison treatment of Abdullah Ocalan, the founder of the PKK.
Earlier this week a protester was shot dead as 15,000 pro-Kurdish protesters marched in the city of Diyarbakir. The DTP was founded in 2005 as a successor to several Kurdish parties that were forced to wind up for collaborating with the PKK. The PKK is listed as a "terrorist" group by Turkey and much of the international community.
The party says it has "no organic links" with the separatists, but insists the group should be considered an interlocutor in efforts to resolve the Kurdish conflict. Cengiz Aktar, a columnist with the Turkish Hurriyet Daily News, said there are "some links" between the DTP and the PKK but criticised Turkey for making party closures "a habit". "The links apparently are there, according to the constitutional court. But in modern democracy, party closures are very seldom," he told Al Jazeera. "This one really comes at a very unfortunate moment when the country was making a very important opening towards its Kurdish minority. "It's a totally new era and suddenly comes this unacceptable decision that may overturn the whole democratisation process and bring the country to the verge of chaos." Al Jazeera

"Terror attack foiled as troops chase away man carrying bomb," by Yaakov Katz for the Jerusalem Post, November 26: An IDF bomb squad detonated a 15-kilogram explosive seized during a search conducted along the Egyptian border on Thursday. Late Wednesday night, IDF troops on a routine patrol of the border area spotted a suspicious figure carrying a bag containing what was later discovered to be a 15-kilogram bomb. The soldiers ordered him to stop and fired several shots in the air. However, the man fled the scene back into Egypt, dropping the bag in his haste. IDF sources said it was possible that the suspected terrorist was from the Gaza Strip and had crossed into the Sinai Peninsula with the intention of then crossing into Israel to carry out an attack.  Terrorists will no longer be eligible for National Insurance Institute coverage of their funeral expenses, following the Knesset Legal Committee's decision Monday to authorize a bill changing the rules for NII coverage. The bill, proposed by Welfare Minister Yitzchak Herzog, deliberately excludes terrorists from funeral coverage. A similar bill was proposed during the last Knesset session by MK Gidon Saar of the Likud. The bill won initial Knesset approval. Saar wrote his version of the bill after realizing that the family of a terrorist from east Jerusalem who had used a bulldozer to attack Israeli motorists and passersby, murdering three, could require the NII to cover his funeral costs. Herzog's bill joins a number of other legislative reforms that have gradually stripped terrorists' families of the benefits normally granted to survivors following a death.
The families of terrorists with Israeli citizenship or Jerusalem resident status are not eligible for the payments usually given to orphans, widows, and others who have lost a loved one. "A person who chose to end innocent lives, and to carry out acts of terrorism against the state of Israel and its citizens, has no right to come and make claims,” Herzog said in explanation of his bill. GAZA, July 24 (KUNA) -- Two Hamas militants were Friday killed apparently while preparing for an attack against the Israelis but died when the explosive device they were handling exploded, the Palestinian movement's military wing said.
Izzuddin Al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement 23-year-old Osma Kamal Nabahin and 22-year-old Bakr Jamal Nabahin were killed while they were performing a "special jihadist" mission. It did not elaborate.
Palestinian security sources said the two were killed in a big explosion that occured east of Buraij camp.

ISLAMABAD: For the first time, Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has admitted that militants and extremists were "created and nurtured" in the country as a policy to achieve some short-term tactical objectives. But they began to haunt the country in the post-9/11 era, Zardari said in a candid admission during an interactive meeting with former senior civil servants at the presidency last night. Militants and extremists emerged on the national scene and challenged the state not because the civil bureaucracy was weakened and demoralised, but because they "were deliberately created and nurtured as a policy to achieve some short-term tactical objectives," he said. It does not exaggerate the stakes in Somalia to say that for the first time in its history, Al-Qaeda is about to have rule over an entire country. The Al-Shabaab, a Somalia-based affiliate of the group, assassinated the country’s national security minister on June 18 and currently controls the entire south and large portions of the central parts of the nation, along with parts of the capital. Should the terrorists succeed, they will also have extremist Somali networks in the West to call upon to expand their jihad and support their efforts. Al-Shabaab and its allies have received extensive backing from foreign countries, the greatest of which is Eritrea, a single-party state with a history of religious oppression and with a recent fondness for rogue states like Iran. Eritrea was accused by the U.N. in June 2007 of secretly providing Somali insurgents with “huge quantities of arms” possibly including suicide bomb belts and anti-aircraft missiles. For nearly 30 years that role has been filled by the Mujahedeen-e Khalaq (MEK), also known as the “People’s Mujahedeen,” the Marxist-Islamist militant group that has fought the Mullahs since the 1979 revolution that swept them to power. In that time, the MEK and its political front, the National Council of Resistance of Iran, has cultivated a reputation as the “largest opposition movement against the Iranian regime.” Calling for the overthrow of “the mullahs’ inhuman regime,” the MEK advocates civil liberties, political and religious pluralism, free markets and free elections – in short, everything that the Iran’s theocratic regime stands against. This public relations strategy has borne fruit, and the MEK has been able to convince many in the West – from analysts like Daniel Pipes, to politicians like Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo – that it represents the best option for democratic regime change in Iran. Now, with the regime best by a popular uprising, there are calls once again for the United States to increase its support for the MEK, first of all by removing its name from the State Department’s list of designated terrorist organizations – a designation that Daniel Pipes calls “preposterous” in the case of the MEK. During a visit to Afghanistan, Rep. Mike Rogers, Michigan Republican, witnessed captured foreign fighters being read Miranda warnings. The Justice Department says this is done "to preserve the quality of evidence obtained." The practice began during the Bush years when congressional challenges to the administration's detainee policy required building criminal cases using "clean" evidence that could stand up in U.S. courts.
This looks like a creeping return to 1990s counterterrorism practices that failed to prevent the Sept. 11 attacks. The 9/11 Commission found that policies adopted in the Clinton years - which limited intelligence sharing lest criminal cases be compromised - led to tragedy. There was an overabundance of caution to avoid evidence being tainted, and it was an open secret in the FBI that sharing too much was a career ender. Source: The Washington Times

Our troops and pilots are always guilty -- even if proven innocent. Because so many on the left want us to be guilty. Few journalists bother to investigate. PAKISTAN has ordered its military to eliminate "terrorists" as air and ground troops pounded extremists branded by Washington a threat to the nuclear-armed country's very existence.As the US moves forward in Afghanistan and considers reconciliation with some members of the Taliban, the Swat Valley in Pakistan offers some lessons. Attack helicopters and war planes bombarded suspected Taliban hideouts in the Swat Valley during the deadliest fighting to grip the northwest district since the government brokered a February peace agreement with hardliners. Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani delivered a televised address urging the nation to unite against extremists, whom he said were threatening the country's sovereignty and who had violated the peace deal with attacks. And Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari vowed that military operations would last until “normalcy” had returned to the troubled Swat Valley. The deeply controversial agreement between the government and a pro-Taliban cleric to put three million people in a wide region of northwest Pakistan under sharia law had been meant to end a nearly two-year violent Taliban uprising. In order to restore honour and dignity of our homeland, and to protect people, the armed forces have been called to eliminate the militants and terrorists,” said Gilani, dressed symbolically in traditional Pakistani dress. “The time has come when the entire nation should side with the government and the armed forces against those who want to make the entire country hostage and darken our future at gunpoint,” the premier added. Thousands of civilians streamed out of the Taliban stronghold and former tourist resort of Swat on foot or crammed into cars in the face of the fighting, as the Red Cross warned that the humanitarian crisis was escalating. Pakistan is under heavy US pressure to crush militants, whom Washington have called the biggest terror threat to the West. US President Barack Obama has put the nuclear-armed Muslim country at the heart of the fight against al-Qa’ida. “(The operation) is going to carry on until life in Swat comes back to normalcy,” Zardari told reporters at the US Capitol after meeting key senators. “It's a regional problem, it's a worldwide problem,” Zardari said. “I think the world is coming to that realisation,” he added. Following talks with Zardari and Afghan President Hamid Karzai, Senator John Kerry said the US Congress would urgently complete an aid bill to stabilise Pakistan.  Drastic new tactics to prevent school pupils as young as 13 falling into extremismBy Mark Hughes Two hundred schoolchildren in Britain, some as young as 13, have been identified as potential terrorists by a police scheme that aims to spot youngsters who are "vulnerable" to Islamic radicalisation. The number was revealed to The Independent by Sir Norman Bettison, the chief constable of West Yorkshire Police and Britain's most senior officer in charge of terror prevention. He said the "Channel project" had intervened in the cases of at least 200 children who were thought to be at risk of extremism, since it began 18 months ago. The number has leapt from 10 children identified by June 2008. The programme, run by the Association of Chief Police Officers, asks teachers, parents and other community figures to be vigilant for signs that may indicate an attraction to extreme views or susceptibility to being "groomed" by radicalisers.  Rep. John Shadegg (R-Ariz.)By Michael W. Chapman Rep. John Shadegg (R-Ariz.) has introduced a bill that would prevent any of the detainees in the soon-to-be-closed Guantanamo Bay prison from being allowed into the United States. Back on Jan. 22, President Barack Obama issued an executive order mandating the closure of the prison, known as Gitmo, within 12 months. Gitmo holds nearly 250 enemy combatants from the war on terrorism. With the question in mind of where those prisoners will go, Rep. Shadegg introduced HR 1238, which would prevent anyone being held at Gitmo from setting foot on U.S. soil. “No American family should ever have to worry about their own government placing a terrorist in their community,” Shadegg said in a statement about the bill. “I have introduced legislation that would make this impossible – ensuring that the Islamic extremists at Guantanamo are not given the chance to enter our country and complete their unfinished mission of shedding American blood.” Read more ...Source: CNS NewsHon.  Give me more money and go f#@k yourselves, you stupid dhimmis!Nablus - Ma’an - An extra 800 shekels (190 US dollars) will be added to the stipend’s given to Palestinians in Israeli prisons this month, Head of Palestinian Prisoner Society in Nablus Ra’ed Amer confirmed on Tuesday.
Each prisoner receives 1000 shekels (238 US dollars) per month, plus an extra 300 shekels (71 US dollars) if they are married, and an extra 50 shekels (12 US dollars) for each child. The stipend is paid by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) each month.
There are currently 4,500 men and women registered as prisoners in Israeli prisons. The increase will be applied to February’s payment, set to go through banks this week.

As United Nations officials continue to insist no Hamas fighters were near the Gaza school hit by Israeli artillery fire Tuesday, they might do well to check out this fairly shocking video on Liveleak.com.
In the last 10 seconds or so, Hamas gunmen clearly are seen jumping into a UN-marked ambulance fleeing what appears to be approaching Israeli fire. We can't vouch for the video, but it looks like it was posted by a Hamas sympathizer, given the title's reference to "Freedom Fighters in the Gaza Strip."
UN officials insist there was no fire coming from the school were at least 40 people were killed, but an Associated Press report cites two witnesses who said low level Hamas operatives were among the dead and had been "firing mortar shells from near the school."
The UN needs to ensure its ambulances are being used to treat the wounded and not cornered Hamas gunmen. Source: IPT Blog
