The screenplay Submission, written by Ayaan Hirsi Ali and produced by Theo van Gogh, includes quotes from the Quran written in Arabic on a womans body. For his part in Submission, van Gogh was slaughtered by a Muslim in broad daylight on an Amsterdam street, his throat slit with a butchers knife, and a five-page letter stabbed to his chest with another knife.
