Depuis sa création, Why Islam (WI), un projet d’action prosélyte du Cercle islamique d’Amérique du nord (ICNA, Islamic Circle of North America), plaide pour une forme radicale de l’islam qui met l’accent sur la haine et la violence. C’est encore le cas aujourd’hui : le groupe continue à attaquer verbalement les non-musulmans. Et maintenant ce groupe organise sur son site web un sondage demandant si Oussama ben Laden, le chef d’Al Qaida, est innocent. Les résultats de ce sondage sont très perturbants.

WI a été lancé en 2000 par l’ICNA, un organisme appartenant aux Frères musulmans, pour pratiquer la dawa ou prosélytisme islamique auprès des non-musulmans américains. Le groupe achète des espaces publicitaires à la radio, dans les transports publics et sur les panneaux d’affichage pour faire connaître son nom et inciter les curieux à appeler un numéro gratuit. Au premier abord, WI semble être une organisation religieuse inoffensive, apparemment en harmonie avec les autres et disant des choses que tout le monde aime à entendre. Saudi Textbooks Incite Hatred & Violence against non-Muslims

Ahmed Al-Sarraf cited in Al-Qabas (June 2, 2007) some passages from a Kuwaiti school textbook taught at the first secondary grade. Here is an English translation of passages from the book, "Jurisprudence", p. 38:

Who is, or who is not, punished in a Muslim society:

• A Muslim who kills an apostate or someone who commits adultery against an infidel is not punished.
• If a Muslim kills an infidel or a slave, he is not punished.
• If a Muslim man, father, or grandfather kills someone from his offspring, he is not punished.

UK: Banned Cleric Giving Two Sermons a day via the Internet to British Followers

Omar Bakri Mohammed has been delivering sermons on the internet chat room PalTalk from his home in Lebanon, where he is exiled.

Between 30 and 50 users log on every morning and evening to listen to what is usually a 30 minute speech.

He then opens the discussion board up for questions, which he answers directly.

While monitoring this chat room Sky News heard Bakri tell his followers that no Muslim should join the Pakistan Army, but rather should support the Mujahideen - Muslims fighting a jihad, or Holy war.

He also told them it was "haraam" (or prohibited) to wish work colleagues "Merry Christmas".

In other recent sermons Bakri called on his followers to "disobey British law" and to "fight and die for islam", in order to step up an Islamic state in the UK. Read more ...

Islamic Saudi Hate Academy

In Saudi Arabia, teaching hatred for others is a normal everyday scholastic activity. But what happens when that teaching gets transferred to the United States? One children’s school with branches in Virginia, the Islamic Saudi Academy, has managed to accomplish this with hate-filled texts, a terror-linked website, and students and school personnel that have been involved in radical activity.

The Islamic Saudi Academy (ISA), an institution run by the government of Saudi Arabia, has been occupying northern Virginia, since 1984. Within the state, it has two facilities, one in Fairfax (pre-K – first grade) and one in Alexandria (grades 2 – 12). The school offers all of the standard curriculum: Math, English, Social Studies, Science, etc. However, what has been of concern to many is the group’s religious studies.

In October of 2007, the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), an organization established by the United States Congress, issued a press release calling for the closure of ISA, until the school’s textbooks would be made available to it for inspection, which they were not. The release stated that “significant past documented concerns remain about whether what is being taught at the ISA explicitly promotes hate, intolerance and human rights violations, in some cases violence.” Read more ...

A Legacy of Hate

Hesham Hussein, the President of the Minnesota chapter of the Muslim American Society (MAS-Minnesota) and former board member of MAS National, was a walking contradiction -- “was,” because he is no longer in existence. He was killed in an auto accident that took place in Saudi Arabia. Now that he’s gone, his friends, including those in the media, are singing his praises. In doing so, they are discounting the hatred and violence that his group, an American arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, represents.

On January 26, 2008, Hesham Hussein was in Saudi Arabia visiting family and traveling from Medina, a city considered holy by Muslims, when he died in a car crash. At the time he was headed to Mecca, also considered holy. At present, he is buried there.

A memorial for Hussein took place on February 2nd, at the MAS Center in Inver Grove Heights. Speaking at the event were such dignitaries as Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison and Assistant Chief of the Saint Paul Police Department, Dennis Jensen. Ellison has been a supporter of MAS, giving addresses at conferences for both the local group and the national organization. He has called Hussein his "close friend." Read more ...
