With contrived evenhandedness, the op-ed managed to blame both Hindus and Muslim extremists - without blaming either party in particular for the murderous attacks. Without realizing it, the Grey Lady had hit upon a great travel series. In the best spirit of jihad for dummies, why not a year’s worth of op-eds focusing on “Why They Hate____” filled in, mad-libs style, with the U.S., Britain, Italy, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Kenya, and the other 74 countries where radical Islam has reared its violent head? With only the moral blindness that the New York Times could capture, each op-ed would portray the attacks in a contrived even-handed way, without blaming, or even naming, the perpetrators of the attacks - Muslim jihadists. The radical mosque of imam Fawaz enjoys monetary benefits.
The As-Soennah mosque, where Theo van Gogh and Ayaan Hirsi Ali were loudly cursed, is regard by the tax authority as an 'institution for general benefit'. Gifts to the As-Soennah foundation in the Hague are therefore deductible. The mosque does not need to pay inheritance tax or gift tax for any inheritance or gifts it receives.
The PVV demanded today in parliament clarifications about the tax benefits for the mosque. According to the AIVD intelligence service As-Soennah is a stronghold of the Salafist movement, which forms a possible threat to the democratic system.
PVV parliament member Hero Brinkman demands an immediate postponement of the fiscal privileges and wants that "all civil servants who contributed to this insanity will be immediately fired."

The Western mainstream media refuse to take the barbarians at their word lest they be accused of “racism” or “Islamophobia.” For example, in a recent issue of the New York Times‘ front page coverage of the Mumbai massacre, the reporters do not describe the terrorists as “Islamic terrorists.” Instead, they refer to them as “Pakistani-based militants,” “militants,” “gunmen, (five or six times)” “attackers,” and “suspects.” They quote President Bush who referred to them as “killers.” They quote the head of India’s National Security Guards who called them “terrorists.” Once or twice they mention India’s “vulnerability to terrorism” but they do not join Islam, Islamism, or fundamentalist Islam to terrorism. This mis-use of language, even for an ostensibly noble purpose, will only further confuse us and slow down a collective response to the Islamic terrorist attacks against civilians. INDIA received warnings in October from US intelligence of a possible terrorist attack "from the sea" on targets in Mumbai, according to American news reports.
Unnamed US intelligence officials told the American ABC network they had warned their Indian counterparts in mid-October of a potential attack “from the sea against hotels and business centres in Mumbai”.
One intelligence official even mentioned specific targets, including the Taj hotel, the TV news service said.
According to the CNN network, Indian sources confirmed that US officials warned them twice of a possible attack on Mumbai.
About 10 gunmen landed in rubber dinghies on the beaches of Mumbai on Wednesday and launched a 60-hour assault that killed at least 172 people and injured close to 300.
Indian intelligence officials told ABC News that on November 18 they intercepted a satellite phone call to an address in Pakistan used by the leader of the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist group, revealing a possible sea-borne attack.
The group is believed to be behind the bloody Mumbai attacks.
US officials also said US intelligence had been tracking prepaid mobile phone SIM cards recovered from the Mumbai terrorists, which had led them to a “treasure trove” of leads from Pakistan and several possible connections to the US, ABC reported.
They said one of the SIM cards might have been purchased in the US.

A Jordanian man slowly strangled his 16-year-old married sister, using wire and the girl's scarf, after she visited a female friend because he had to "cleanse family honour". After jailing the unidentified 20-year-old man for seven years, Judge Hassan Amayreh said: "It took him 30 minutes to strangle his sister to death with a metal wire and her own scarf." The girl, who had been married for six months, died in January in the Gaze refugee camp in the town of Jerash, north of the capital. PROTESTERS have swarmed the Gold Coast City Council headquarters, and with blaring rock anthems vented anger over a planned Muslim school.
Almost 200 residents turned out for the demonstration, draped in Australian flags and shouting pro-Aussie slogans while Australian rock classics such as Down Under and Great Southern Land boomed across the parkland, The Courier-Mail reports.
Australian International Islamic College, planned for Carrara, has raised the ire of residents who fear it will lead to the local Muslim population withdrawing from the rest of the community.
A rally last week attracted about 400 people, while people turned out yesterday carrying placards bearing slogans such as "no Muslim school, hell no" and "integration, not segregation".
Resident's spokesman Tony Doherty said Muslim schools did not encourage multiculturalism.
"It's segregation, not integration," he said.
"They're not trying to integrate into the rest of society.
"Since we have started protesting against this our churches have been covered in hate-filled graffiti."
He denied it was hypocritical to oppose Muslim and not Christian schools.
"Catholics aren't a different culture," he said.
"They are the same as us."
Some residents say they are opposed to the school more because of parking issues rather than religious grounds.
Mayor Ron Clarke has publicly said he would support the school as long as it satisfies the council's planning criteria.
The council will not make any decision on the future of the school until next year. If approved, the school is unlikely to open until at least the middle of next year. Source: The Australian

At least five terrorist gunmen have evaded capture in Mumbai and could make a secondary strike on India's financial capital, police feared Monday morning.
Indian security forces are officially claiming that ten militants – nine of whom were killed and one caught alive – were behind a coordinated terror attack that claimed 172 lives.
However, the hijacked Indian fishing boat used by the gunmen to approach Mumbai, the crew of which were also slaughtered, had equipment for 15 men on board when it was discovered adrift off the city shore – suggesting that several gunmen could still be at large.
"Fifteen jackets were found, 15 toothbrushes even," one police source said. "That more men were involved, is possible."
The news came as Shakeel Ahmad, India's Deputy Home Minister, said that all the gunmen found so far were from Pakistan, an allegation that threatened to place further stress on the troubled relationship between the two nuclear powers.
The Indian government has raised the country's security to a "war level", claiming proof of a Pakistani link to the Mumbai strikes.
In response, Pakistan threatened to end military operations against Islamist militants - including the Taliban and Al Qaeda – on its border with Afghan border if it is forced into an "unwanted conflict" with Delhi.
Mumbai residents suspect that perhaps two dozen gunmen had stormed the city – an impression supported by early police and media reports on Wednesday night when a wave of attacks at at least eight locations rocked Mumbai. Angry at the Government's response to the crisis, they are reluctant to accept the assurances that all the terrorists are all accounted for.
Yesterday Shivraj Patil, India's Home Minister, resigned after a public backlash at the handling of the attack on Mumbai. People are furious that it took an elite group of commandos at least seven hours to reach the two luxury hotels that were attacked, by which time the gunmen had consolidated their positions and trapped hundreds of people.
It has also emerged that Rata Tata, the head of the Indian conglomerate that owns the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, had been warned of a possible attack on the hotel. He claimed, however, that no security arrangements could have prevented the highly-trained and organised militants.
"They did not go through the front entrance. All our security arrangements are in the front," he said. "They planned everything. I believe the first thing they did, they shot a sniffer dog and his handler."
The sole Mumbai gunman captured alive has already told police he was trained in Pakistan and ordered to "kill until the last breath", according to a leaked account of his interrogation.
Azam Amir Kasab, 21, a Pakistani national, claimed the terror strikes, which left 172 dead, were intended to kill as many as 5,000 people and that he and his fellow militants were ordered to target whites – especially Britons and Americans. Last week in simultaneous attacks, Islamist terrorists killed at least 195 people and injured another 300 during a 60-hour killing spree. The tactics used by the terrorists were different from the classical jihadist playbook. Does it mean that Mumbai-style attacks are the new jihadist modus operandi? First, regarding the perpetrators, all the signs point to the involvement of the Pakistani terror group and al-Qaida affiliate Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT). LeT is in fact a group propped up by Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) and mostly focusing until now on the "liberation" of the Kashmir province. As early as Thursday, Russian intelligence stated that LeT, a group that underwent special training in al-Qaida camps at the India-Pakistan border, were behind the attacks. On Friday U.S. intelligence and counterterrorism officials confirmed that assessment. And just on Sunday, the only terrorist captured by Indian police said that indeed LeT was behind the bloody attacks. Even if the operation had been prepared for a long time, the timing might not be coincidental. A week ago Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari went on a limb to advance peace with India. He declared that Pakistan would never be the first to use the atomic bomb against India and more importantly talking about Kashmir, he called the rebels "terrorists:" a first for a Pakistani president. The terrible tragedy that befell Mumbai last week when terrorists took over luxury hotels, a Jewish center and a number of other popular sites in India's commercial capital causing mayhem and death, is beyond comprehension to any sane mind. How can one even begin to try to understand such senseless butchery? It matters not what religion the attackers claim to represent, because in reality, those who carried out the heinous acts of cowardice have only one religion, death, and one aim, destruction, and one political agenda, the demise of democracy. Religion is supposed to be about love, whereas these cold-blooded assassins who brought havoc and destruction to Mumbai, were motivated by unadulterated hate. The attackers killed more than 183 innocent people and wounded several hundred more. Show us the pages in the Koran justifying such blind violence.
