Anti Sharia Law billboard is up!

FYI, we have just put up a billboard this past week on the Detroit-Toledo expressway that says “Sharia Law Threatens America”. As soon as we get a photo of it we'll issue a press release. It is in Luna Pier about 10 miles north of Toledo, 20 miles south of Detroit on I-75. It's up just in time for the Thanksgiving traffic!

We've got someone working on getting a photo of it now but if you happen to be passing by or know someone in the region please grab some photos of it and send them to me jesse@unitedamericancommittee.org

"Sharia Is Hate": Is a proposed anti-Islamist billboard in Florida over the top?

Imagine Dodger Stadium full of loud and whooping fans cheering on, not baseball, but your weekly stoning and flogging of adulterers, thieves and other errant citizens of southern California.

This is America under Islamic law, or Shari’a, a system that everyone should fear. Or so, Alan Kornman, director of the United American Committee (UAC) thinks. He continues to fundraise for a freeway billboard in Florida stating, “Shari’a Is Hate,” to educate America before it’s too late.

As Kornman argues, "under Shari’a law if you are accused of stealing, a hand and foot from opposite sides are amputated. If you are caught having an affair, the woman is stoned to death and the man is given 80 lashes. If you change religions, you can be charged under apostasy laws and given the death sentence by a legal Sharia court.”

The implementation of Shari’a is much more subtle than the quotation from Kornman suggests, however. Read more ...

An organization in Florida plans to educate what it perceives as an increasingly culture-tolerant public about the horrific dictates of Islamic law by purchasing billboard space with a simple, but confrontational message: "Sharia law is hate."

The Central Florida chapter of the United American Committee, a nonprofit group that seeks to educate Americans on the threat of Islamic extremism, is raising money to purchase a six-month contract to display the billboard, which the group hopes will awaken the public to discussing the full extent of Islamic law.

"The UAC's goal in this project is to raise awareness because most people have no idea what Sharia law is," Alan Kornman, director of UAC's Central Florida branch, told WND. "We are confident people will see the billboard and learn on their own what Sharia law is and come to their own conclusions. At the very least, we hope our billboard will spark public debate on this overlooked issue." Read more ...

Letter to the editor: Seminole Chronicle

On January 9, 2008 , the Seminole Chronicle ran an article titled 'Chronicle protests racism from callers', in which the Chronicle's writer complained about anti-Muslim racism. I am getting really tired of explaining to people that Islam is not a race. We have White Muslims, Black Muslims and everything in between. the "Islamophobia is racism" argument was invented by the Islamist PR machine to piggyback on the Civil Rights movement. While Islamophobia is a vile form of bigotry (is there any other kind?), it doesn't come close to slavery or racial discrimination. But Islamists substituted Islamophobia with racism, because it sounds much worse, and Western Dhimmis were more than happy to accept it.

Judging by the authoritative tone, Seminole Chronicle must have a resident Islamic scholar. But this "scholar's" statements show that the author either was deliberately trying to confuse the reader or knows absolutely nothing about Islam. The author claims "Islam is not a violent religion. While the Muslim religion allows its followers to defend themselves ... a couple of passages are typically misconstrued. ... "Fight in the cause of God against those who fight you, but do not transgress limits. God does not love transgressors." (Quran 2:190) That sound pretty benign, nothing more than legitimate self-defense. But all you need to do is to read the next verse: 2.191: "And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers." The author also brings up violent verses from the Bible but fails to mention a clear distinction. The Koran calls for slaughter of unbelievers, for the sole reason of them being unbelievers, and the Bible does not. Besides, we don't really have a big problem with a bunch of crazy Catholics running around blowing people up.

Then those dhimwits claim that "CAIR has ... been touted as one of the largest defenders of Islamic civil rights." Indeed, it has been – by Islamists or Dhimmis, like Seminole Chronicle. And on top of everything, to counter the argument that CAIR has ties to Hamas, they state "Hamas is a political party, like it or not." Hamas is a terrorist group, you idiots! Hamas terrorists murder people! My God!

To Seminole Chronicle the UAC is a joke. But not to us. While we do not completely agree with all the rhetoric coming from UAC members, we would choose UAC over the Seminole Chronicle any day of the week in our fight against radical Islam. With all their perceived and real faults, UAC are the good guys in this fight and Dhimminole Chronicle is on the side of Islamists. I have no idea why the staff at Dhimminole Chronicle took this position. Maybe the rationale is "When Islamists take over they'll kill me last."

Yehudit Barsky, a terrorism expert, has said that ICNA "is composed of members of Jamaat e-Islami, a Pakistani Islamic radical organization similar to the Muslim Brotherhood that helped to establish the Taliban."

(Orlando, FL) The Central Florida Branch of the United American Committee (UAC) has uncovered information the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) have irrefutable ties to terrorist and terrorist supporting organizations. ICNA and CAIR will be sponsoring a Muslim Youth Camp at Wekiwa State Park on December 29-31, 2007 funded partially by your tax dollars via Doc Stamp revenue.

ICNA currently has deep ties with the Terrorist Group called The Muslim Brotherhood of Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI). ICNA was the top donor to a JI charity that, just one year ago, provided $99,000 to the head of Hamas, Khaled Mashaal.

CAIR national spokesperson Ibrahim Hooper said, "I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future. But I'm not going to do anything violent to promote that. I'm going to do it through education." (Statement by Ibrahim Hooper, Minneapolis Star Tribune, April 4, 1993)

Randall Todd "Ismail" Royer, a former communications & civil rights specialist for CAIR, according to AP "Royer...admitted helping members of the conspiracy join the militant Pakistani group Lashkar-e-Taiba in the days after the Sept. 11 attacks. He pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting use of a firearm in a crime of violence and aiding and abetting the carrying of an explosive during commission of a felony. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison." When ICNA, CAIR, and Young Muslims congregate at Wekiwa Springs State Park, Apopka, FL, they will be doing so under the guise of moderate, mainstream Muslim organizations, when in fact they are nothing more than support networks for terrorists domestically and overseas.
