These events have been reported to World Threats.Cabinet Ministers are wary of entering universities. Dr. Mohammad Hosseini, minister of Culture and Guidance, went to Kashan University without prior announcement. He hurriedly left the University after the opening ceremonies.
Students of the Science and Industry gathered to protest the expulsion of six students. The students will gather daily at 12:30 and chant “Allah O Akbar” to both support our friends and awaken the officials of the university from their dreams of power and to remind their masters that the university is alive.”
Eight female students have been expelled from their dormitories.
The expulsions are directly related to the student’s participation in demonstrations.
Protests at the Tapeh Sugar Cane Factory continue. Approximately 500 laborers gathered to protest the factory’s failure to pay them for the past two months work. It appears that the regime may be attempting to destroy the sugar cane industry by unlimited imports of sugar.
Mrs. Kobra Banazadeh Amirkhizi, 57, has been sent to Gohardasht Prison for the “crime” of visiting her relatives in Ashraf, Iraq. Mrs. Amirkhizi has severe eye problems and may lose her sight as a result of the imprisonment.
