A great development. The Saudis have a long way to go on the path to human rights and religious moderation, but the condemnation by the Saudi Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abd Al-Aziz Bin Abdallah Aal Al-Sheikh on November 26 does some great good.
He condemns terrorism, and says that suicide bombings have damaged Islam.
Notice that he doesn’t say suicide bombings are only bad in some circumstances.
This a blanket condemnation that leaves no wiggle room for justifiers of the action.
