CONTROVERSIAL FILM ABOUT U.S. RADICAL ISLAM DRAWS HUGE CROWDS AT SCREENINGS ACROSS THE COUNTRY
CLARION FUND URGES COMMUNITY LEADERS TO SHOW THE THIRD JIHAD IN EVERY SCHOOL, HOUSE OF WORSHIP IN AMERICA
(PORTSMOUTH, NH – June 22, 2009) – The Clarion Fund announced today that screenings of its newest documentary film, The Third Jihad, have drawn capacity crowds in more than 30 cities across the United States since the film’s premiere at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, last month. Highlights have included gala events at the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles on May 17, and The Directors Guild in New York City on June 11, both stunning successes. “Thousands have now seen this important film. It is imperative that we continue with screenings of the film in every school, church, synagogue and mosque in America,” said Peter Connors, Executive Director of Clarion. “Education is the best way to fight the threat of radical Islam, and organizing a community screening of The Third Jihad is an easy and effective way to inform others about this clear and present crisis affecting the American public.” The Third Jihad, which is narrated by Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, a devout Muslim, former physician to the U.S. Congress and founder and president of The American-Islamic Forum for Democracy, centers on the FBI discovery of a Grand Jihad Manifesto calling for “civilization jihadist process,” a cultural jihad to undermine the U.S. from within using non-violent strategies. Dr. Jasser illustrates how this silent war has already begun in America and other Western countries. Because DVD copies of the film are intended for personal viewing only, individuals interested in creating a screening event for more than 10 additional viewers should visit the film’s official website, www.TheThirdJihad.com, to purchase a ‘Screening Kit.’ The kit includes a copy of The Third Jihad, a moderator’s manual, and full-color movie posters. “While screenings can be arranged for large groups, we encourage individuals to also consider screening the film in their homes and offices for close family and friends,” said Connors. “Intimate gatherings are an excellent way to communicate these important messages to the people you care about and provide them with the information they need to secure their rights and freedoms.” The film features interviews with experts on radical Islam and American security specialists, including leading expert professor Bernard Lewis, former New York City mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, Senator Joseph I. Lieberman, CIA Director R. James Woolsey, New York City Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly, as well as a first-hand account from a former terrorist. All those interviewed agree that the spread of Islamic fundamentalism in America is a societal reality that cannot be ignored. Source: Clarion Fund
By Pam Meister Last Thursday evening, I had the opportunity to attend a screening in New York City of the movie The Third Jihad, produced by Raphael Shore, founder of the Clarion Fund, a non-profit, non-political media company educating the public about national security threats. Narrated by Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy and an FSM contributing editor, The Third Jihad effectively defines the threat the United States and the entire Western world faces from radical Islam. Scenes of burka-clad women being beaten in the street, young men being hanged in Iran for being homosexuals, and strident imams calling for Islam to take over the world are bad enough. Most informed people know that’s going on, but when it goes on halfway around the world, it can be easy enough to ignore when we have our own pressing problems to worry about. Viewers learn of a compound called Islamberg. A 70-acre compound located in upstate New York near the town of Deposit, it is a branch of Muslims of the Americas, Inc., formed in 1980 by Pakistani cleric Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani. Gilani has been linked to the radical group Jamaat ul-Fuqra, an organization that seeks to purify Islam through violence. Frightened neighbors in Deposit say they “can hear gunfire up there.” Read more ...Source: FSM
When forging a brave new path, obstacles and distractions are to be expected.
That shared, we appreciate our friends in the blogosphere, and have come to value the contribution they are making in our tireless campaign to rally the American Muslim community against radical Islam. Sometimes, however, they jump to shortsighted and misinformed conclusions making even greater our challenge of bringing awareness to the clear, present and imminent crisis affecting the Muslim community and American public at-large.
There has been recent "noise" in the blogosphere about Clarion Fund's relationship with devout Muslim Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, the narrator of our latest film The Third Jihad – Radical Islam’s Vision for America.
Please allow me to clear this issue up once and for all. The Clarion Fund treasures Dr. Jasser as our most important teammate, and a prescient voice of reason in our cause of educating Americans about the threat of radical Islam to our ideals and way of life. And with great stamina and shear will, he is creating a platform for other American Muslims to speak out and take action.
Not only is Dr. Jasser an expert and thought leader in our cause, he is by far the bravest and most courageous person I have ever met and a true American patriot. He has dedicated his life to the cause of eradicating the radical Islamic forces that work tirelessly to co-opt the peaceful religion of Islam. For that, he should be applauded, not discouraged and criticized. For the record, and please, let this be the last time this is discussed, Clarion Fund stands by the courageous force that is Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser – 100%!

CAIR DECLINES INVITE TO DISCUSSION WITH DEVOUT MUSLIM FILM NARRATOR, WHO IS EXPECTED TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST RADICAL ISLAM AT THE THIRD JIHAD PREMIERE (New York, NY – May 10, 2009) The Clarion Fund announced today that it will premiere its newest documentary film, The Third Jihad, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, May 13, 2009. In addition to the screening, several American Muslim groups have been invited to participate in a roundtable discussion where the film’s narrator, Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser – a devout Muslim and chairman of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD) – and its producers will speak out about the threat of radical Islam in America.
Clarion’s first documentary film, the award-winning Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West, communicates the global threat posed by the radical elements of Islam. The Third Jihad shifts the focus to the growth of radical Islam on American soil via “Cultural Jihad,” the use of the democratic system to transform the American way of life from within to a society governed by Sharia Law (Islamic religious law).
“Clarion Fund recognizes the propagation of radical Islam and the promulgation of Sharia Law within our borders as a clear and present crisis affecting the Muslim American community and the American public at large,” said Peter Connors, Executive Director of Clarion. “Our educational tools and media properties will serve as a platform for the American public – including Muslims – to embrace Western liberties and speak out in a meaningful way to silence radical elements in our midst.”
Among these tools is RadicalIslam.org, the foundation of Clarion’s grassroots movement. The user-friendly website was developed to spread awareness about the threat of radical Islam in America as well as to provide practical response tools. For the launch of the film, the site has been redesigned to include up-to-the-minute updates from major news sources as well as social media-driven networking capabilities.
“We are focused on educating the American public about this eminent threat to their rights and freedoms, with the goal of bringing ‘Creeping Sharia’ to a screeching halt,” explained Raphael Shore, producer of both The Third Jihad and Obsession and the founder of Clarion. “We want to expose the true intent of radical Islam in order to secure the future of the American public at large, including its Muslim community.”
Among those organizations invited to participate in the roundtable discussion is the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). However, CAIR has declined the invitation, a surprising turn of events considering the group’s usual insistence that a representative of their “mainstream Muslim” staff be present at such events to offer a “balanced perspective.” In fact, since the beginning of 2009, CAIR has requested such representation in at least three U.S. events focused on radical Islam.
“We invited CAIR and they said they wanted nothing to do with this film,” said Connors. “CAIR’s response is unfortunate, as The Clarion Fund believes that the only way to address this issue is to discuss it openly and honestly with those who agree with us and those who disagree. Then, based on that education, the American public can decide for itself.”
The Third Jihad, which is narrated by devout Muslim American Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, centers on the FBI discovery of a Grand Jihad Manifesto calling for the destruction of the U.S. and the establishment of a radical Islamist theocracy in its place. The film features interviews with experts on radical Islam and American security specialists, including leading expert professor Bernard Lewis, as well as a first-hand account from a former terrorist. All those interviewed agree that the spread of Islamic fundamentalism in America is a societal reality that cannot be ignored.
Though a shortened version of The Third Jihad has spread virally on the Internet since the beginning of the year, the Washington, D.C. screening will serve as the official launch of the feature-length version of the film.

NEW YORK, Oct 28, 2008 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- The Clarion Fund, a non-profit organization committed to educating the American people about national security issues, called on the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) to end its smear campaign against the documentary Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West. "CAIR, an organization that refuses to denounce Hamas and Hezbollah, cannot refute the accuracy of Obsession so it has decided to attack The Clarion Fund in hopes of discrediting the film," said Raphael Shore, the producer of Obsession and the founder of The Clarion Fund. To coincide with the anniversary of 9/11, The Clarion Fund distributed 28 million DVDs of Obsession as an advertising insert in 70 papers across the country. In response, CAIR has organized a smear campaign to attack Obsession in the media as hate speech. This defamatory claim is designed to distract the public from examining the threat of radical Islam. Clarion Fund released "Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West," in 70 newspapers in key swing states.DENVER, Colorado (CNN) -- On a Sunday morning just weeks before the presidential election, Priscilla Linsley opened her local Denver newspaper and discovered a DVD inside. "I was shocked at the content and horrified that this had been in my Sunday paper," said Linsley, a 74-year-old Democrat, who watched about half of the video before throwing it in the trash. "I have Muslim friends and respect Islam as a religion and felt that this was really hateful," said Linsley. The hourlong film on DVD, "Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West," was made by Israeli filmmaker Raphael Shore and shows disturbing, sometimes violent images. Rima Barakat Sinclair, who is Muslim and a Republican, was so angry she called her local lawmakers in Denver. In September, some 28 million of the "Obsession" DVD's were distributed as advertising inserts in 70 newspapers, primarily in critical swing states such as Colorado, Florida and Ohio. It was paid for by the Clarion Fund, a nonprofit group established by the film's Israeli producer with the goal of exposing what it calls the threat of radical Islam. The Clarion Fund was created in 2006, the same year "Obsession" was released. "Our focus is to educate with our movies and raise awareness, not influence elections," said Gregory Ross, a Clarion spokesman. But Larry Sabato, a political observer and director of the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia, said it's naïve to think such a video won't influence undecided voters. "It's pretty obvious that the group sponsoring it wants people to think more about terrorism, about national security, about Middle East politics and maybe less about the economy," said Sabato. "Well, that obviously favors one side -- the Republicans." Read more ...Source: CNNFeyerick's agenda is to portray Obsession as an anti-Muslim film. That's why she provides no opinions of Obsession's supporters, especially its Muslim and Arab supporters.
