An organization that says it is a harmless religious group has a poll on their website asking "Is Osama bin Laden innocent?" Guess what the results were ... By Joe Kaufman Since its creation, Why Islam (WI), a Muslim proselytizing project of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), has advocated a radical strain of Islam that stresses both hatred and violence. Today is no different. The group continues to verbally attack non-Muslims. And now the group is featuring a poll on its website asking if al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is innocent. The results of the poll are very disturbing. WI was launched in 2000 by ICNA, a Muslim Brotherhood organization, to provide dawah or Islamic outreach to American non-Muslims. The group purchases advertising via radio, public transportation, and billboards to publicize its name and entice the curious to contact its toll-free number. On its face, WI looks like a harmless religious organization, appearing to get along with others and saying things that everyone likes to hear. But just as with anything else, appearances can be deceiving. And with regard to WI, they are. Read more ... By Joe Kaufman Earlier this year, I wrote of a young female leader from the Muslim American Society (MAS), Mashal Azhar, and of the e-mails that she had sent me. She was upset at my group’s slogan, “Fighting Hate with Truth.” She had believed it was dishonest. She was mistaken. In the course of our correspondence, Azhar was unusually candid in describing her and her group’s goal of creating a new America and bringing her brand of Islam to the masses. Recently, I had the opportunity to communicate with another young female involved with MAS. Her responses were as disturbing as Azhar’s, if not more so. On June 12, 2009, I received the following from an individual going by the name Sabrena Hamdan, concerning the website of our group, Americans Against Hate (AAH): “Dear whom ever this is addressed to, I have recently seen your website and really am taken aback. Not in a good way no no. More like a ‘stricken how can a human being be this dishonest’ sort of aback. 99.9% OF THE THINGS ON YOUR WEBSITE ARE NOT EVEN REAL FACTS.” Without offering any specifics to back up her accusation, she then listed six quotes that she found on our site, quotes that we had previously used as evidence of the violence and hatred being propagated by the Muslim American Society (MAS), an organization that Hamdan later said she was involved with. They were: • The Holy Prophet (and through him the Muslims) has been reassured that he should not mind the enmity, the evil designs and the machinations of the Jews...”
• “In view of the degenerate moral condition of the Jews and the Christians, the Believers have been warned not to make them their friends and confidants.”
• “If you gain a victory over the men of Jews, kill them.”
• “The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say, ‘O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.’”
• “May Allah destroy the Jews, because they used the graves of their prophets as places of worship.”
• “A Muslim must always worship Allah and wage jihad until death in order to reach his ultimate goal... Regularly make the intention to go on jihad with the ambition to die as a martyr.” Read more ... Source: FPMMAS Latest recipient of the Distinguished Islamofascist Award
APPELLATE RULES KAUFMAN A JOURNALIST AND RULES THAT CASE HAS NO MERIT TO CONTINUE (Dallas, TX) The lawsuit and restraining order that were filed against the Chairman of Americans Against Hate (AAH) Joe Kaufman by seven Dallas-area Muslim organizations, in October 2007, were thrown out this past week by the State of Texas Court of Appeals, Second District of Texas Fort Worth.
The seven plaintiffs included the Muslim American Society (MAS), which the U.S. government has called a front for the extremist Muslim Brotherhood, and three Islamic centers owned by the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), an organization that was named a co-conspirator in the 2007/2008 Holy Land Foundation (HLF) Hamas financing trial.
The groups claimed in the lawsuit that Kaufman had written an article for FrontPage Magazine that libeled them, yet not one of the groups was actually named in the article. It was about the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and its connection to the financing of terrorism overseas. Kaufman, in October 2007, had flown to Texas to lead a demonstration outside an ICNA-sponsored event to expose this information to the public.
Regarding the restraining order or “temporary injunction,” the groups admitted under oath that neither Kaufman nor his group had ever threatened them in any way, shape or form. Indeed, with respect to this case, it was Kaufman and his organization that received a threat, before Kaufman’s arrival in Texas.
The case was placed in the Appellate, after the presiding judge refused to rule on whether or not Kaufman was a “media defendant” and refused to rule on the case (“summary judgment”) prior to it going to trial.
The Appellate dealt with both issues, stating that Kaufman was a “media defendant” and deserved all the rights provided to print journalists. And the Appellate moved to dismiss the case, on the grounds that the article written by Kaufman was not about and did not mention any of the plaintiffs or “appellees.” The Appellate basically agreed with everything that Kaufman and his attorneys were arguing and shot down the arguments from the losing side.
One of the more embarrassing arguments from the other side was that Joe Kaufman ran FrontPage Magazine. FrontPage, in reality, is run by the David Horowitz Freedom Center, and Kaufman is a columnist for it. Both Kaufman and David Horowitz wrote and filed affidavits attesting to this. The plaintiffs worked hard to have these affidavits thrown out.
From the start of the case, Kaufman has called the lawsuit “entirely frivolous” and stated that it was only brought to harm Kaufman financially and to stop him from writing about the terrorism ties of the plaintiffs’ friends. In the end, the case was an important victory for Freedom of Speech.

DECISION MADE FOLLOWING INFORMATION MAYOR RECEIVED FROM AAH CONCERNING CAIR’S HAMAS TIES (Tampa, FL) Yesterday, June 9, 2009, Americans Against Hate (AAH) Chairman Joe Kaufman received a call from Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio’s office informing him that the Mayor will no longer be issuing any proclamations to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). The past week, Kaufman had been speaking with the Mayor’s office and had sent information detailing CAIR’s involvement with the terrorist group Hamas and CAIR’s stated support for Hamas. Kaufman showed proof that CAIR was named a co-conspirator in a recent Hamas fundraising terrorism trial and that the FBI recently cut ties with CAIR. Kaufman had previously called on the Mayor to rescind her November 15, 2008 proclamation for “CAIR Day,” an award she had given to the Tampa office of CAIR at least the last four years. A member of Mayor Iorio’s staff, Santiago Corrado, said that, while the Mayor would not rescind any prior proclamations – because the “CAIR Days” had already taken place and she could not go back in time and change the calendar – she would no longer sign any further proclamations to the group in the future. Kaufman stated, “While we had wished Mayor Iorio would rescind the past proclamations from CAIR, we are thankful that no more proclamations will be awarded to the group. No group that has ties to overseas terrorists should receive any type of award, proclamation or otherwise.” Read more ...Source: AAHJoe Kaufman Americans Against Hate Latest recipients of The MASH Award
(Tallahassee, FL) On March 9th and 10th, Ahmed Bedier, the former representative for the Hamas-affiliated Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and “unofficial spokesman” for Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist Sami Al-Arian, will be holding an event in Tallahassee, Florida, under the banner of his newly formed group, United Voices for America (UVA). The UVA was created, according to Bedier, to lobby the Florida legislature and to “empower” Muslims “to change Florida.” Americans Against Hate thinks there is an alternative sinister agenda. Americans Against Hate (AAH), a civil rights and terrorism watchdog group, believes that Bedier is a threat to America and Israel and will use his new organization to do harm to American freedoms and to create division between the Florida legislature and the Jewish state. AAH Chairman Joe Kaufman stated, “For over seven years, Ahmed Bedier has been involved with groups and individuals tied to and in support of anti-Israel terrorist groups, such as Hamas, PIJ and Hezbollah. The change Bedier is looking for is a threat to America and Israel. We call on all of Florida’s lawmakers to ignore the innocuous sounding name and nature of the UVA and to distance themselves from Bedier.” AAH is asking those disturbed by Ahmed Bedier’s activities to respectfully contact Florida legislators to voice their concerns. ANTI-HATE GROUP CALLS FOR MAYOR IORIO TO RESCIND PROCLAMATION(Tampa, FL) Citing CAIR’s terrorism ties, Americans Against Hate (AAH) has created an online petition calling on Tampa Bay, Florida Mayor Pam Iorio to rescind a Proclamation she signed last Saturday declaring November 15, 2008 “CAIR Day.” AAH Chairman Joe Kaufman stated, “CAIR’s ties to Hamas and other terror-related entities are well documented. Mayor Iorio, please do not ignore the facts about CAIR. We urge you to withdraw your Proclamation and to discontinue any future tributes towards CAIR.” This was at least the fourth year in a row that Mayor Iorio has issued a Proclamation for “CAIR Day.” To sign AAH’s petition to Mayor Iorio to withdraw the Proclamation, go to: www.petitiononline.com/CAIRday/petition.html. JAWHAR BADRAN, A REPRESENTATIVE OF CAIR, HAD STATED THAT HAMAS IS NOT A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION
(Fort Lauderdale, FL) On Tuesday, November 18th, the day his term ended, members of the Broward County School Board made a conscious decision not to reappoint or reassign Jawhar Sadallah Badran, a.k.a. Joe Badran, to the School Board’s Diversity Committee or any other committee ruled over by the School Board.
Badran, on March 1st, was videotaped making statements in favor of Hamas. The statements included him saying that Hamas was “not a terrorist organization.” As well, in July of 2006, Badran described himself to the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel as a suicide bomber. He stated, “Hamas and Hezbollah are committing acts of defense against the acts of the Israelis. The only weapons that we have are to strap bombs on our bodies and do whatever damage and destruction we can.”
Badran was also an admitted member of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group affiliated with Hamas and a group currently named as a co-conspirator by the U.S. Justice Department for a federal trial dealing with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas.
Americans Against Hate (AAH) pushed for Badran’s removal from the Diversity Committee, a position which he had held the past four years. AAH received word of the School Board’s decision from the offices of Dr. Robert Parks, the School Board member who originally appointed Badran to the Diversity Committee, and Robin Bartleman, the outgoing School Board Chair.
AAH Chairman Joe Kaufman stated, “While we had wished for Jawhar Badran’s removal prior to his term ending, we are pleased that he will no longer have a role in the government body. Terrorist organizations have absolutely nothing to do with diversity, and individuals such as this should never be allowed to have influence over children.”

- “Hamas is better than Fatah, because there’s no corruption. Hamas takes care of the people.”
As well, in July of 2006, Badran described himself as a suicide bomber, telling the Sun-Sentinel, “Hamas and Hezbollah are committing acts of defense against the acts of the Israelis. CAIR-FLORIDA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR PARTICIPATES IN BROWARD SCHOOL BOARD DIVERSITY REPORT(Fort Lauderdale, FL) On the morning of Tuesday, October 7, 2008, Americans Against Hate (AAH) Chairman Joe Kaufman, along with three other AAH members, spoke in front of the Broward County School Board, asking for the removal of Hamas supporter Jawhar Badran from the School Board’s Diversity Committee. On March 1, 2008, Badran had been videotaped making statements in support of Hamas, denying Hamas was a terrorist organization. As well, Badran is an admitted member of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Hamas-related group. During his speech, Kaufman stated that, if Badran would not be removed, Robert Parks should resign his seat on the School Board. Parks was the School Board member who appointed Badran to the Diversity Committee. Kaufman also stated that, if the rest of the School Board members remain silent on the issue, they themselves should be held accountable. Following lunch recess, Roland Foulkes, the Chairman of the Diversity Committee, took the time during his Diversity Committee report to laud Hamas supporter Badran and CAIR and attack Kaufman and Americans Against Hate. The Executive Director of CAIR-Florida Altaf Ali also was allowed to speak as part of the Diversity Committee report, and he used the forum he was given to attack AAH, as well. Kaufman has asked for equal time to address the charges made against him and AAH. Kaufman stated, “It is disturbing that the Broward County School Board would allow personal attacks against individuals and groups to occur in the guise of a School Board Diversity Committee report. It is also disturbing that the School Board would allow someone affiliated with CAIR, the brainchild of Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzook, to participate in the report.” CAIR is currently named by the U.S. Justice Department as a co-conspirator for a federal trial dealing with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas. To: The members of the Broward County School Board
On March 1, 2008, Broward County School Board Diversity Committee member Jawhar Sadallah Badran, an appointee of School Board member Robert Parks, was caught on camera making statements in support of the terrorist organization Hamas. They included “Hamas is not a terrorist organization,” “Hamas is a defender of the Palestinian people,” and “Hamas is better than Fatah, because there’s no corruption. Hamas takes care of the people.”
As well, in July of 2006, Badran made a statement to the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel describing himself as a suicide bomber. He said, “Hamas and Hezbollah are committing acts of defense against the acts of the Israelis. The only weapons that we have are to strap bombs on our bodies and do whatever damage and destruction we can.”
Furthermore, Badran is a representative for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group that has a number of terrorist ties. Indeed, the United States Justice Department has recently named CAIR as a co-conspirator for a current federal trial which is dealing with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas.
We believe wholeheartedly in Freedom of Speech, but because of Mr. Badran’s expressions of support for terrorist organizations and violence and because of his radical affiliations, we feel that he should be disallowed from serving on any government forum, especially one that deals with diversity and children. We therefore are calling on you to act swiftly to remove Jawhar “Joe” Badran from the Broward County School Board Diversity Committee. He should not be able to serve another day.

ISNA, A NAMED HAMAS CO-CONSPIRATOR, RECENTLY PROPAGATED MATERIAL CALLING FOR MURDER OF JEWS (Denver, CO) Americans Against Hate (AAH) is calling on the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) to disinvite Ingrid Mattson, the National President of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), from speaking at its Denver convention. Mattson is scheduled to help lead a convention interfaith forum tomorrow, Sunday, August 24th. ISNA, a group related to the violent Muslim Brotherhood, was named by the U.S. government a co-conspirator for a 2007 federal trial which dealt with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas. Also, as recently as last month, under Mattson's watch, ISNA propagated material on its national website calling for the murder of Jews and the waging of war against Jews and Christians. The violent ISNA documents can be viewed here. AAH Chairman Joe Kaufman stated, "It is unconscionable for the Democratic leadership to allow the head of a group that is connected to terrorism and that spreads hate against others to participate in a political convention. We demand that Mattson be disinvited from speaking at the Democratic Convention immediately. ISNA and Mattson should be condemned for their actions." AAH encourages everyone concerned to respectfully express his/her feelings on this matter, by contacting the DNCC at (720) 362-2008. Source: Americans Against Hate
April 23, 2008 For Immediate Release Contact: Joe Kaufman ( info@americansagainsthate.org) AAH CALLS ON MAYOR OF PLANTATION, FL TO REMOVE CAIR REP FROM PRAYER BREAKFAST CAIR IS PART OF HAMAS, CAIR-FLORIDA SUPPORTS HAMAS (Coral Springs, FL) Americans Against Hate (AAH) is calling on the Mayor of Plantation, Florida, Rae Carole Armstrong, to disallow CAIR-Florida Executive Director Altaf Ali from participating in an upcoming prayer breakfast sponsored by the Mayor. The event, titled ‘Jerusalem: Symbol of Unity,’ is scheduled to take place on May 1, 2008, at Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El, in Plantation. Ali has been asked to give the invocation. AAH is concerned with CAIR’s association with Hamas and CAIR-Florida’s recent statements in support of Hamas. CAIR was named by the U.S. Justice Department as a co-conspirator for a Hamas financing trial that began in July of 2007. During the trial, CAIR was shown to have been part of Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzook’s American Palestine Committee. Also part of the committee was CAIR’s parent organization, the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), which was shut down in 2005 after the group was found liable for the Hamas murder of an American teen, David Boim. On March 1, 2008, CAIR representative Jawhar “Joe” Badran was caught on video stating that “Hamas is not a terrorist organization.” Altaf Ali was standing next to Badran, when he said this. As well, Badran stated, “Hamas is a defender of the Palestinian people. That’s what Hamas is.” And “Hamas is better than Fatah, because there’s no corruption. Hamas takes care of the people.” AAH Chairman Joe Kaufman stated, “Being that CAIR is a part of Hamas, it is wrong for a government representative, as Mayor Armstrong is, to allow anyone from CAIR to participate in anything. As well, it is offensive for a CAIR rep to be involved in this, given the title of the event, as Hamas calls for the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jerusalem’s Jewish community.” Those concerned can contact Mayor Armstrong to respectfully voice their views. Joe Kaufman is available for interview. E-mail: mailto:info@americansagainsthate.org
February 27, 2008 For Immediate Release U.S. ARMY LTC ALLEN WEST TO HEADLINE SATURDAY NIGHT AAH RALLY AGAINST CAIR
RALLY WILL CRITICIZE BROWARD OFFICIALS FOR THEIR EMBRACE OF CAIR (Coral Springs, FL) On Saturday, March 1st, Americans Against Hate (AAH), in coordination with the Terror Free America Coalition, will be holding a demonstration against the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the group’s usage of a government owned facility, the Broward County Convention Center, where CAIR will be holding its annual banquet/fundraiser.
CAIR was recently named an “unindicted co-conspirator” for a Dallas terrorism trial that dealt with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas. As well, the group was labeled by the Justice Department a front for Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. The featured speaker at CAIR’s event will be Siraj Wahhaj, an “unindicted co-conspirator” of the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, an act that left six innocent people dead.
AAH Chairman and founder of CAIR Watch, Joe Kaufman, questioned, “How could the local government of Broward County allow a group with numerous ties to terrorists usage of a government owned facility, especially to do fundraising in?” Broward County has a history of support for CAIR. In 2003, the Broward County School Board produced a video that starred the Executive Director of CAIR-Florida, Altaf Ali. And in 2005, the Broward County Commission allowed CAIR use of its Main Library in Fort Lauderdale to run a six part “Islamic Culture” program. Headlining the rally against CAIR will be United States Army Ret. Lieutenant Colonel Allen West, a modern day American hero who, while serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan, saved fellow troops’ lives. Also speaking will be the President of the Counter Terrorism Operations Center (CTOC), Sam Kharoba. Kharoba is a software developer that trains law enforcement and intelligence personnel on issues concerning terrorism. Rally details: When: Saturday, March 1, 2008, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Where: Outside the Broward County Convention Center, at the corner of 17th St. and Eisenhower Blvd. Directions: Take I-95 to 595; head east on 595 to US1 (Federal Hwy); head north on US1 about 3 lights to SE 17th St.; make a right and head east towards the beach; end at the corner of 17th St. and Eisenhower Blvd.
On October 14, 2007 Joe Kaufman, a chairman of American Against Hate, organized a protest against the Islamic Circle of North America. ICNA has well documented ties to Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood and should really be called the ISLAMIST Circle of North America, especially, since it openly advocates for establishment of Sharia in the United States. During the protest, Mr. Kaufman was served with temporary restraining order filed by Islamic Society of Arlington, Al Hedayah Islamic Center, Dar Elsalam Islamic Center, DFW Islamic Educational Center, Inc., Islamic Association of Tarrant County, Islamic Center of Irving, and Muslim American Society of Dallas. The TRO restraints Joe Kaufman from the following: - Threatening Plaintiffs in person, by telephone, or in writing to take unlawful action against any person, intending by this action to annoy or alarm Plaintiffs. - Intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly causing bodily injury to Plaintiffs or Plaintiffs' associates or members. - Threatening Plaintiffs or Plaintiffs' associates or members with imminent bodily injury. - Inciting violence against Plaintiffs, their members or associates. The Plaintiffs claim that Mr. Kaufman "operates a website ... that tries to foment hate and anger against law abiding United States citizens who practice their religion (Islam) freely as guaranteed by the United States Constitution. ... He wishes to stir up anger, resentment, bias, and hatred of peaceful, law abiding citizens, solely because of their religion. To this end, Defendant Kaufman organizes protests of all things Islamic, attempting to paint them in one broad swath as being allied with Hamas, Al Qaeda, and terrorists. ... To this end, Defendant has painted the Plaintiffs as terrorists." Several members of Muslims Against Sharia went through multiple statements posted on Mr. Kaufman's website, www.AmericansAgainstHate.org. We have not found a single instance of Islam-bashing or Muslim-bashing that the Plaintiffs are complaining about. However, we found plenty of information that link ICNA and Muslim American Society (MAS) to Islamist groups both at home and abroad. This is a despicable act of American Islamist establishment (which IS associated with terrorists) to quash any attempt to unmask its extremist agenda. Muslims Against Sharia call on every American Muslim to condemn Islamism in general and Plaintiffs in particular and voice their support for Mr. Kaufman.
